Laurel Fertility Care- Oakland

Im not one to leave reviews but I dont want anyone going through the same experience that I did. 10/10 Would not recommend. Went in for just a fertility assessment, cost was $520 out-of-pocket upfront. The front desk staff was impersonal and unprofessional- talked in great detail with patients about their in vitro procedures right in the waiting room, made me wait over 30 minutes past my appointment time even though there was only 1 other patient in the building. Doctor was incredibly impersonal, made me feel nervous and uncomfortable sharing my personal history. The nurse was very nice, but she was the only good thing about the visit - the visiting rooms were cramped and looked like they were being used for storage. The doctor rushed through the ultrasound - I am currently looking for a second consultation because I dont trust how accurate his read was. They didnt load any of my information into the patient portal, including my lab results. Kept pushing other procedures even though I had told them multiple times I was just interested in a fertility assessment. I felt like I had been scammed.

Extremely rude. Zero interpersonal skills. Biased against older parents. I would take your business to almost any other clinic. These people are some of the least sensitive in the Bay Area and its clear they are only interested in profits. Always trying to upsell more and more risky procedures that cost a fortune.Edit: No Laurel, Inc I dont want to take the time to reach out to your team to help you run your business better for your profits. Thats your job for which you make obscene amounts of money for the same services one can get in other counties/states/countries with just as good if not better tech.We took our business elsewhere and are so happy we did. Adding your little faux-concern here after the fact to try to keep your reviews under control is disingenuous. However here is a tip from business school 101 : youll catch more flies with a bowl of honey than bowl of vinegar. Maybe a refresher read of How to Win Friends and Influence People for all your staff, mmkay?Try not to be evil.Thanks.
