Dr. Tewari is a kind and compassionate physician. He is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. I feel that I am in the very best hands for treatment, and I am always grateful for his kindness. I am a highly nervous patient, and Dr. Tewari never makes me feel bad, and always puts me at ease. He is a wonderful person and physician.

I am excited to have an after cancer Doctor after having stage 1B2 cervical cancer. I had a traditional total hysterectomy, wound care, radiation treatment, no chemotherapy, and 5 year cervical cancer research. It will save a life so it is important to go to all doctor visits, and follow up with the doctor. Happy to be back at UCI to do regular doctor visits yearly at UCI. Patients at UCI it is important to have a support team with Doctors and nurses that want the best care. There is hope that other women can survive cervical cancer. Thank you.

Four years ago at 79 I was told I had fourth stage endometrial cancer. I was very healthy my whole life and when I heard those words I was scared to death .Then Dr. Tewari came into my Life. He operated on me and because of where the cancer had broken through to my rectum he could not remove the mass because it was located in a blood flow .he could not do radiation either. The tumor hid from the chemotherapy and it kept growing. Dr. Tewari was able to get my tumor approved for the immune therapy called key Truda. It had not been approved prior. Thanks to Dr. Tewari my last pet scan showed that My tumor had shrunk by at least 50% and had no significant change . It isn’t growing and it’s been four years since my diagnosis. Dr. Tewari is the nicest most understanding Doctor and his staff is fantastic. If it wasn’t for Dr. Tewari I would’ve been dead long ago.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Dr. Tewari is the type of doctor that feels threatened and gets defensive when you ask questions. He has a huge ego and was always in a rush. My mom (age 60) had stage 4 uterine/ovarian cancer (they couldn’t determine what type of cancer she had even after multiple tests and surgery). Dr. Tewari performed debulking surgery on my mom and stated the surgery was a success- he was able to remove all cancer that was visible. Of course the prognosis was still poor as the possibility of cancer returning was substantial. When the cancer returned 2 months later, Dr. Tewari completely gave up. He told us to start looking for clinical trials without offering any assistance as to what we should even look for. While I understand my moms cancer was difficult to treat it was the way Dr. Tewari completely threw us to the wolves when the cancer returned. There is always hope and every day new clinical trials are being developed. Neither Dr. Tewari nor his staff offered any support or assistance in the search for an applicable clinical trial. His staff was cold and rude. Dr. Tewari sent my mom home to die. I then took my mom to Dr. Karlin at Cedars-Sinai and she provided numerous other treatment options. Dr. Karlin was thorough, knowledgeable, but also compassionate which is of the upmost importance when you are dealing with terminally ill patients and their families. It has taken me 3 years to finally write this and I have never taken the time to write a negative review about any person or business. If I can help just one person with this review it will be worthwhile.As an update. My father was diagnosed with cancer and is at City of Hope. Absolutely amazing hospital. If you have cancer, of any kind, I can’t stress enough that THIS is where you should go!!

Doctors and staff are professionals at UCI. Friendly, excellent in communicating issues so that the lay person understands. They show care and true concern for their patients. Most importantly. They make you feel comfortable.

I had surgery oct 30 ,2012 .Dr.tewari removed ovarion cyst size of cantalope and did full hysterectomy. Dr.tewari is the best his bed side manner is fantastic ,he is the best at what he does .I feel he gave me back my life .God Bless you dr.tewari always

Doctor and staff were very thorough going over history and concerns. This is the best doctor I have seen yet for Gynecologic oncology issues. I highly recommend dr Tewari.
