They have no front desk receptionist. So you get to wait an hour or more, to be called back. Then to only find out your blood work wasnt sent over by the doctor. So now you get to sit and wait for the fax to come through and be called back again. We werent the only ones either. Another couple had the same thing happen. BRING BACK THE FRONT DESK!!!

Sonora Quest lab at 27th Ave and the 101 is HORRIFIC!! Do not use! We always use another location and NEVER a problemBut they didn’t have an apptNO ONE AT FEOMT DESK. YOU HAVE TO STAND AT THE DESK AND WAIT TO SEE AN EMPOYEE WALK BY AND GET THEIR ATTENTION. My husband needed labs prior to a procedure. Had doctor send the orders electronically, called them to confirm they received which they confirmed they did. Went to appt. They said they did NOT have the orders. They refused to contact Dr to get them. I had to contact doctors office who put orders in their portal. I asked employee if I could email to her. She provided email address. After emailing we waited 30minutes and then got this employees attention AGAIN. she said “I’m waiting for fax from doctor to come through”. I said REMEMBER YOU GAVE ME YOUR EMAIL”. Blank stare and “ok let me check”. We were called back AGAIN and waited while she fumbled thru entering the information and asking me to look up doctors name and address. When she finally started drawing my husbands blood she didn’t even hit the VERY accessible vein in his forearm. There is never a problem when he has labs. Then she said “you have a jumpy vein, I need to get some help”. The lead came in and drew blood with no issue EXCEPT my husband has a HUGE bruise now.These issues were not just with us. Almost everyone in the waiting room that day had issues and several other people stormed out without getting their procedures.

I’ve been going to the Deer Valley office for years it’s par for the course when you have a blood disease. This last time was unfortunate. I was a walk in as always. There were no staff at the desk. Other folks were getting called back, I assumed they had appts. I waited 30 minutes. I then left . I’ll be going to the phlebotomist at my PCP from now on

Showed up this morning with my lab order in hand and signed in. After waiting 25 mins with 7 people in the lobby checked in before me, only 1 person had been called back during that 25 mins. No one was even at the front desk to take my lab order or answer any questions. With the 7 people still ahead of me, I had to leave. I left work for this, and now I will have to find another site and take time from work again to get my labs completed. What a waste of my time. I will not come to this site again.

Corner left office. Tight fit. Clean and fast service.

Very fast (waited no more than five minutes to see the tech with results available in five to six hours), very efficient (self check-in service available), very nice (employees were very pleasant). I would not hesitate to return if I ever need labs again.

Fantastic staff! Would highly recommend for a pediatric blood draw. The phlebotomist was great, he talked to my daughter each step of the way and explained everything. It was straightforward and quick. Front deskstaff was cheerful and helpful.... great place to go for labs.

The worst place Ive been. No one at the front desk. I waited an hour and half to give a sample. I finally got to talk to a woman who was extremely rude

Nice friendly staff. My taxi was 20 minutes late. I called and explained. They stated no problem we will get you in. I arrived about 25 minutes late. They were very nice and saw me in five minutes. They are located next door to Wendys if you desire a meal before or after your appointment. There is plenty of parking.

Re the 20414 N 27th Ave location, I completely disagree with some opinions that the staff is not competent at blood draws. All of the staff I have had every two weeks over the past six months have been most competent at drawing blood. My visits have all been positive, from the time I walk in the door.

WORST LOCATION!!I waited for over 45 minutes for lab work.Meanwhile the rude staff is having fun laughing about their day.This place doesnt even deserve one star!!

I had an appointment on November 13th, 2023, at the 20414 N 27th Ave, #140 Phoenix AZ 85027 location. I proceeded to check in and a rude person at the desk named Idaly asked for my insurance card, I asked her for a particular person as I have to get blood drawn from my hand. The girl was on breakand my test was within a certain timeframe. This crude person said we all poke good here. I said to her why would you say that. This creep was the one that attempted to draw my blood, put a huge needle in and I was hurting terribly, she told me she was good and was a nurse, she must have been fired. She called another person in named Lana who did a great job. That Idaly hurt my left hand as I was in pain the entire day, my hand is black and blue and still very swollen going on day 2. Lana felt bad for me and wrapped my left hand with a bandage. I have iced for 2 days. I told the lead manager on the way out of the office. Idaly is a horrible phlebotomist and should not be working there at all. I have gone there for several years and very distressed over this issue to the point of not going back. Please be advised that Idaly will leave you in great pain! If i could give 0 stars I would do that.

I’ve always been easy to draw blood from and the first time I went they really stabbed me several times saying I had scar tissue. I’ve never heard that in all my years. They also made my prior authorization very difficult

When you try to call, they dont pick up and their voicemail box is full. Not to mention the condescending and rude behavior of the staff.

My doctor printed paperwork stating to make an appt with Sonora Quest. When I arrived for the appt they told me to go to Simon Med, which is not what is listed on the paperwork. Very poor way to handle people’s health care.

I was going there because my doctors at Verde cancer place said thats where to get my blood tested to rule out cancer. First time going, walked in the receptionist did Not acknowledge me, I said hi, she said Very rude what ? I said I would like to have my blood drawn without looking up she said go to the kiosk. I tried but it was very confusing I gave up and went to another receptionist she checked me in in under a minute while I tried to figure out the kiosk for 5 minutes. VERY UNPLEASANT AND UNPROFESSIONAL, people are there for serious things and the fact that the paid people there are gehtto, rude and unpleasant to a person who are terrified and stressed about the fact they Might have cancer I feel management needs to seriously read these reviews and clean house. And to management or whoever replays to these reviews saying we are sorry Sorry is Not good enough if your goin to keep the same rude no manner ghetto woman there who greet the clients. My rude receptionist did not get a name but she had black hair Heavy eyeliner and had a Hispanic accent.

The 2 receptionists at the front desk were very rude and uncompassionate. They said they could not help us because we got there at 3:05 and did not have an appointment. The website didnt allow me to make an appointment and receptionists didnt care and just said they were short staffed.

Lana was absolutely wonderful at the 27th Ave and the 101. She drew my blood and there was no pain. She was so compassionate and understanding I was blown away! Thank God for a phlebotomist like her!

Absolutely the one of the worst Sonora Quests to go to. Had an appointment and they still took everyone ahead of me. I book appts because I work and it allows me to go on my lunch. But whats the point if they dont even uphold the appt time. I have never had this issue at the Thunderbird and 55th Ave location. Will not be returning.Dont offer appts if there not going to be upheld.

7 days and 4 phone calls and still no test results. Every call I make, I get a different reason why my test results havent been uploaded to the patient portal.

Never and I mean NEVER have I ever been declined service WITH AHCCCS until today.

For being short staffed today, they did a really marvelous job.! Front desk woman (didn’t grab her name), was very understanding, funny, and super duper nice! The phlebotomist was very informative and gentle! Give these people a raise!!!

Clean, laid out to be respectful of social distancing, polite, respectful of your time, efficient appointment and check-in process. Phlebotomist was quick and professional and had no challenges, whereas I have been known as a hard stick at other places. Parking garage was convenient and covered. Front desk staff were polite and accommodating by providing me a mask when I had forgotten mine in my car.

In response to some of the negative comments: I have been at this Lab more than once since I needed Blood work to be done frequently. I have experienced RUDE customers like never before. One threw their plastic containers at the front staff because they did not get what they wanted, the doctors office did not make the appointment for them as they expected, then they came back and demanded the containers back so they could take the test they needed to do. This was not the only time I was a witness to such rudeness. I was embarrassed by the outrages behavior of the patients. The staff kept their cool. I have nothing but good to say about them, they are OFTEN treated with amazing disrespect by patients.

Came in for blood and urine test prior to upcoming surgery, and urine test was very uncomfortable because the mens restroom was out of order standing in the hallway waiting for the womens restroom that a lady had just walked into right before me waited 20 minutes at least, employee/technician told me that I can use the bathroom in the lobby rather than waiting, So I did that! Previous patient STILL in the bathroom! Employees and staff professional and understanding BUT still something that patients should not have to endure! I use this lab ALL the time because I live very close. Not a complaint, Just stating fact! Thank you for your time! Sincerely. And since Im being asked as a survey, I will put out a Google review since I took time for this and to let others know!

While waiting, one has a lot of time to watch staff and how they interact....yikes! Thank goodness insurance companies let you pick which lab you go to because Ill be switching. I have to get labs done twice a month and have given this place three months thinking maybe its just a bad day, or theyre busy this time etc. Nope its consistently awful. Long wait every time, front desk makes customers confused and is quite rude, definetly here just to catch that buck from insurance.Update....I originally posted this while waiting for blood work. Never has it taken more than 2 days to get my results. My results are still not in and now I have to miss my chemo treatment FOR STAGE 4 CANCER! DO NOT GO HERE! FOR YOUR OWN HEALTH! Talk about retaliation!

This location was so good with my 9 year old daughter. She was very anxious for her blood draw, and they made it quick, efficient, and celebrated her. Thank you guys so much!

The staff was great!! I had to bring in my 8 month old daughter in for her routine nine-month-old blood test and an allergy panel on 5/18/18 And me obviously being the mom I was super scared and super nervous but they were so quick and so good. She got my babys Vein on her forearm in one try and was super quick obviously my baby freaked out and I was freaking out a little bit too but it was over in less than a minute. Ive been here three other times and this is the first time I was actually really scared to come in and I wish I could remember the lab techs name but I cant remember it and it bums me out but she was amazing

Ive had to get blood drawn three times in the past two months. Ive made appointments every time. I was brought back on time the first two times and 15 minutes late the third time, but they were quite busy.Vianey was my phlebotomist this time. She did a great job. I did notice a tray of blood viles marked refrigerate on her the side of the sink table. There were quite a few. Concerned me, but I dont like telling people how to do their job so I didnt say anything.

The wait wasn’t very long for a Friday morning. Heather was great. She was very friendly and professional. The blood draw was quick and painless.

Highly recommend this location for special needs kiddos. I have taken my 10 yr old here several times over the past year and they have never had to re-stick. The waiting room does get crowded but there is a lobby to sit in instead.

They always are polite and run on time when I have an appointment set up. My grandson had to have blood drawn and the phlebotomist really helped put him ease. Great service

Worst staff! There was an average aged (mentioning it specifically so she knows who she is when she reads this if at all) nurseeven after triple checking if she had enough blood for the 5day old infant, and after 2pokes in the leg could NOT get enough blood. We triple checked with her if it was enough, and confirmed it was good. They then call us today to say the blood was not enough. Get over with these insensitive nurses and this location for good.Btw, even if its your worst day, be generous and welcoming as a nurse. Such people need to be sent to classes back again as a reminder on how to work

This place is always understaffed, with wait times even despite having an appointment. The waiting room is small and congested for as many patients that I’ve seen in here, and the front staff are rude. Once you’re lucky enough to be seen, the lab techs are usually decent but I can’t see myself dealing with this nonsense anymore at this location.

Waited over an hour and a half with my newborn. Both staff on site seemed to be overwhelmed and arguing with eachither. Once we were called back the phlebotomist asked me for a heal warmer. I told him I didnt receive one. He stated I was supposed to get it from the girl at the front but she must have forgotten to give it to me or run out. He then went on to say he didnt care either way and it wouldnt make a difference. He ended up having to squeeze excessively to draw blood from my newborns heal and after getting the sample he needed he wasnt able to get the blood to stop flowing. He changed the dressing several times and told me to check my daughters heal in 20-30 minutes in case the blood didnt stop. I asked what l should do if the blood didnt stop and he replied he didnt know. Guess the heal warmer would have made a difference after all, I said to him. As he tried to excuse his botched up blood draw. Will never return to this place again!

I have always been treated with professionalism and respect. They are very quick to take me in. I always make an appointment. I return here whenever I need blood drawn.

This is one of the worst possible labs to use. The office is incompetence at the highest level. The only thing worse is the billing department. After copying my insurance information the then mailed a letter stating the did not have it. Go anywhere else for a better experience.

The ladies at front desk are so rude and impersonal, when people come in theres no hello, they look at you like you have 3 heads when asking a question. I observed this as el while waiting a lengthy wait to get checked in, which makes no sense, just check a person in, stop playing control bully. Whatever runs this facility needs to find a better way, like traditional offices. Only Sonora will you experience the most stupid and inconvenient check in process!

They have a nice online appointment setup system.I got there, signed in, waited a very short time, got my samples taken, and got out. Everyone was very friendly and the place was clean. Its not a 5-star resort, but its not a shanty either.Ill likely come back here for any lab testing I need in the future.

I had a great experience here, as it was the first time going to this location. Joe was very nice and personable. He was thorough and knew what he was doing. Id highly recommend this location.

Do not come here. Its over an hour and wait for them to stick a needle in your arm for 2 mins. Not enough seats for amount of people waiting, line out the door, and only 1 person taking blood at a time. Hope you took a half day or maybe even a full day off work just for a 2 min appointment!

They are quick and efficient, Carlos was my Guy and he did a Great job. Ge warned me when I got poked and there was no ouchie.

This place is horrible!!!! They had one person stick me twice and then another came in to blow out vein in my hand. The people that work here have no idea how to get blood. I dont even think a student would be as bad as this group. Stay away unless you want pain and a huge hassle because they were never able to get my sample

My doctor suggested me some general routine lab work and I visited Sonora quest on 27 th ave 3 weeks back now its been 24 days and I am still waiting to get the results. Very very poor service and i am very disappointed. Generally result will come up in 1 or 2 days in other laboratories. And there is no way to contact them i had try to call them and even through website patient portal is just doing security check and lastly no results is there as well.

Had an appt for routine labs and from second I walked in the two ladies at desk were both friendly and helpful and made the process super easy I waited about 2-3 min and then called back by the lab tech to get blood drawn etc She was also very friendly and made the process quick and easy Sometimes you don’t think service would be this great when doing labs But everyone at this location was great and I’ll be sure to come here again for future lab work.
