Lisa has been my physician for nearly 20 years. It is important to me to have a physician who knows me well and most importantly -cares. She takes the time to listen, ask questions, and guide with compassion and care. She is professional, knowledgeable, exceedingly kind, and puts her patients at ease. She goes out of her way to help in any way possible. I cannot recommend her enough!

Starting with the front staff to the nurses to Dr Deyerle is and has always been A+ service. Dr Deyerle takes the time to listen to your needs and actually suggest ways of healing regardless of how busy her caseload is you are the only person on her schedule when she walks in the room. She is super supportive and I love her as my doctor and as my friend!

This doctor is wonderful. She’s thorough, listens and addresses all of my concerns, personable, and knows my medical history. She’s compassionate and truly cares about my health. I’ve been seeing her for about 15 years. My only complaint is that it takes over a week to get an appointment. Unfortunately, when I’m sick I need a doctor ASAP, not in 2 weeks.

She takes time to really listen. She is always up to date with the latest medical information. She never judges and always offers options. I’ve been an RN 40 years. I know a lot of doctors. There was one other in the valley I would say the same about but he retired about 5 years ago.

Dr. Deyerle has been my family physician, pretty much since she started practicing locally. I can’t speak enough about how caring, compassionate, thoughtful, supportive, and thorough she is. I’ve never been left wondering whether she had my best interest in mind. I’m so thankful to have her as my family physician. I know there’s other good docs in Roanoke, but she’s the best in my book.

What’s in a review? Who reads them anyway? Who trusts them when some businesses always get five stars? I’ll leave those answers to whoever reads this; but I will say I wouldn’t waste my time if reviews were meaningless. To be “doctored” — now that, is a different story. To be doctored is to know a physician treats you as he or she wishes to be treated — professionally, compassionately, with integrity; and to know your life is safe in their hands; not safe in the fact of having all the answers, all the time; but safe knowing candor will survive the search for answers, the pressure of pain; and it’s to know an Avenger with super powers is on your side — the side of your best interest. Dr. Deyerle is bar none the single biggest mainstay in my life. She has done the heavy lifts of helping me hold on when other doctors stepped out. She found bandwidth to hear my fears, seek out answers, and solve the toughest conditions you can imagine; and when doors closed on the possible; she helps accept the inevitable as you wrap your mind around the magnitude of the every day ins and outs and curve balls younever see coming. Dr. Deyerle celebrates life with you.For over twenty years and through my children’s lives, she has guided our family toward a higher place. I have more complex-care needs than any one provider could ever take on; but she didn’t take on my conditions, she took on me. She stayed in the pocket, chanced the sack, maneuvered and kept my family’s needs ever present in her mind; then she threw the ball down field; knowing as a good quarterback does, who I needed and why; and other times she ran the ball looking for blockers who were either there or they weren’t but I’ve always known winning at life was due largely because I had someone who did it with me — I have lived and loved better for her care.I found the courage to stay in the game; because she held my life in her hands and heart; practiced gentle toughness when neededI have quadriplegia incomplete Cerebral Palsy. When I met Dr. Deyerle, I was walking, born with spastic diplegia (two limbs involved). As I aged, spinal deterioration and issues faced by the elderly have affected me sooner. Using the wheelchair, managing pain, maintaining my ability to live as an empowered citizen can be directly linked to Dr. Deyerle’s wisdom. Not going crazy in the meantime, as surgeries worked and/or didn’t, as illness left me vulnerable to infections, as I recovered/rehabbed and learn to stand tall sitting down — those moments we shared.I’m not going to lie and tell you she never missed an audible; but in all this time, the percentages and odds are so good in her favor, the GOAT can’t beat her. For even as medicine has become a mechanized, where people are parsed out to the max, Dr. Deyerle has kept Grace Over All Things. She heals the body, sees the soul, and does it by never flinching, except maybe when a look touches her face that says she must let me do my bit; and then she tells me to trust others; and believe they too are doing their best (and most importantly) she acknowledges the limitations placed on all providers and where they must draw the line between caring for a patient and maintaining their commitments to others.I know this because I know how many people don’t have what I’ve had. I know, even with her, how many people we couldn’t find to be on our team. I know she will always be the Gold Standard by which I compare others; because she is humble, kind; and on point; because she makes me smile with her greeting and stays positive, making time assess my need and progress — she seeks wellness; and as doctors are squeezed every which way; Dr. Deyerle has never counted me out; and always leads by example when faith is hard to come by.If my words don’t motivate you to appreciate the value of this wonderful doctor, I wish you well, finding your ‘right fit’; but I promise you this: when it counts, you can only hope for the gem like Dr. Deyerle. She is special—in a league of her own. I’d take 4th and 20 with her any day; you should.Thanks is so little …💕
