Making a appointment was easy. They got me in the same day I called in. The staff and the doctor were both courteous and professional. The price was also great even without using insurance. I will be using them for any other future needs.

Within a 90-day period, I successfully reduced my weight from 240 to 198 pounds. Throughout this journey, Matt provided exceptional support and guidance.His patient-centered approach is truly remarkable. He consistently demonstrates a calm and unhurried demeanor, ensuring that all my concerns and questions are thoroughly addressed. First time at this location. Went for a blood draw for ongoing TRT. Almost no wait time despite arriving before my appointment. The blood draw was one of the least painful I’ve ever experienced. Staff was friendly, nurse was skilled and quick, and doc was in and out in a matter of minutes after thoroughly addressing my concerns. Great experience. This is not my normal location, but I will definitely be back.

I was able to scheduled my appointment quickly over the phone, appreciated the updates via text, found the medical examiner to be professional and knowledgeable. He communicated effectively throughout the examination, explaining each step as he proceeded. The process was seamless, and an overall good experience.

Matthew Roy is the best in mens health. Have been a patient of his since January 2024. My health and fitness was not where it needed to be. With his tutelage, treatment and wellness plan, I have improved my health and fitness by leaps and bounds. With his care and treatment specific to my health needs, I couldn’t be more happy with my results. Matthew takes the time to answer any questions and explain decisions and what to expect or look out for with my treatment. If you have not been to this office you need to and he will take excellent care of you. Appointments are easy to get, and follow up is excellent. I highly recommend Matthew and his staff.

I just love this place. Easy to book, fast and friendly. Does not feel like your ordinary Drs visit. Its centered around just men and my wife is jealous. She wishes there was a place like this for her. Its like urgent care in the way the systems work but more personal and doesnt feel like an emergency room visit.

Scheduled the appointment online. Get a text the morning of the appointment to fill out a form and attach insurance. Went into my appointment and waited 30 min. Ended up leaving as they were still waiting to verify the insurance. If you don’t have the insurance wouldn’t you call the patient the day before??

I had a sports injury and they were able to see me that day. The staff was very nice and professional and the Doctor was great as well. He understood what happened to me and gave me the treatment I needed. I will be coming back to these doctors when I am in need.

For those who read this, here is my experience. Before getting a referral by these “professionals”, I will be the first to help you out and let you know that you do NOT NEED a referral to get seen by a specialist who can actually help you with your problem. I am not one that goes to the doctor unless something is not right. So I was unaware of how insurance works until recently. So if you are reading this and you are like me, call your insurance and figure out if you actually need a referral to see a specialist. That will save you from calling them back and being charged a “Co-Payment”. After visiting the doc for my eye the prescription he prescribed me was not effective, which he instructed to call back if the symptoms do not go away. When I called back I did not know I would have to pay again just to tell the doc that it did not work, that seemed like a scam to me. I figured a follow up call would be part of the first visit since referring someone seems like a click of a button. Before agreeing to this “phone call visit” the front desk informed me about the “Co-Payment” and how they would need to collect that from me prior to speaking with the doc. I asked the representative “Can I just go to the Specialist office without getting a referral?” She said “No, you NEED a referral to be seen by a specialist.” I said “okay, I can do that if it means getting my eye back to normal.” She reminded me again that I will need to pay again prior to speaking with the doc. The phone call was scheduled for 0900, someone called me around 0845 to collect payment. I waited for the call pushing my work aside and finally got the call around 0945. The doc said he was going to create the referral and said someone would be in touch by Tuesday the latest. I received a text from their office notifying me with details of the referral specialist. After waiting a full week of no communication I took it upon myself to contact the Specialist. The Specialist informed me that they have no referral with my information and she told me not to worry because I do NOT NEED a referral to be seen by them. Total Men’s Health Care has lost my business for sure, I figured if you are in the business to help people, then HELP people. So once again, if you are like me and have no idea what your insurance offers, please give them a call first and figure out if you can bypass the “SCAM” charge. 🙏🏽

The staff at the Roanoke location are very friendly. Very thorough. I would recommend this location to anybody that needs a new doctors office.

Excellent experience all-around. I brought a book expecting to be waiting a lot, but I was called back 5 minutes before my scheduled exam! Exam was seamless. Dr Roy and his team answered all of my questions, addressed all of my concerns while being professional and friendly. The ease of scheduling online was a huge draw but the great patient experience will bring me back.

I moved to Texas and found it difficult to find a doctor till I saw information about Total Mens Primary Care. It was so easy to get set up, make an appointment, and talk through my medical care. Every guy looking for medical care should check out Total Mens Primary Care. They make it easy to talk about health, medical issues, and best choices. After a very thorough in person conversation, I was encouraged to use telehealth for inquiries, to do a walk in, if I wanted to consult in person, and not to wait until any health situation got severe. Im a retired guy with no urgent medical problems, but I felt that after I left, I was understood, supported and on track to maintain good health. If you havent seen Mathew Roys video on their website, you should check it out! It captures the flavor of my appointment.

Called to see if I could get in for some antibiotics. Alliance wasn’t able to see me, but recommended Roanoke. Scheduled and saw me quick, checked me over and called in the scripts to get me on the road to recovery. Very pleasant and professional staff. I was seen, drove to my pharmacy and back home within 2 hours.Have been using TMPH for a few years and always a great experience.

Excellent experience. I worked with Kristen (hope I spelled that right). She was fantastic to work with. Listened to my concerns and what I was there for. At no point did I feel rushed or anything. Office staff was great as well. They were able to get me in same day! There was maybe a 2 minute wait in the waiting room before I was taken back. Extremely efficient office. Lastly, the facilities were very clean and everything looked together. Would 100% recommend them and will be making them my PCP going forward.

Dr. Roy was very detailed and spend a great amount of time with me explaining all my medications and details, in house lab work is also awesome!

Absolutely phenomenal visit. Everyone was incredibly friendly and I got in super fast with no real wait. Also, when I came in, they couldnt find my appointment on the schedule but still kept my appointment. It wasnt until the next day that I realized I had made a mistake and shown up the day before my appointment. They easily could have had me reschedule or turned me away but they really werent above and beyond here.

Zero communication. They never answer the phone. No docs. Only NPs who don’t communicate

Impossible to work with for prescriptions! My husband loves the doctors, but I have never had a doctors office that is harder to work with to get a refill of a prescription. It always takes at least 2 calls to them after the pharmacy has sent in the refill request for my husband. I have to say that the receptionist is not as customer service driven as I would expect, especially since I run a customer service support team.

Absolutely love this place. The staff are absolutely incredible. A buddy of mine goes here, and I recently moved out to Trophy Club so it made sense to visit this location.They recently changed providers and I thought it might be a problem as Kristen was amazing, but Matthew has proven to be a phenomenal doctor and Im very happy with the level of detail, care, and concern he gives his patients.When it comes to assistants, Mark and Cass are the best. Cass has a contagious cheerful attitude - even at 8:30 in the morning. Even if I visit in a bad mood, it quickly goes away after a few minutes of Cass friendliness.Ive only interacted with Mark once, but he was super cool and professional with a great attitude.Heather left for another location, so Im going to hold a fake grudge against her, lol.Finally, Shaelyn at the front desk is always cheerful, which is so needed when I come in so early in the morning, Red Bull in hand. Shes patient as I struggle to acclimate to the wee hours of the morning (Im clearly not a morning person), lol. Very professional with an infectious laugh.Too many times medical offices are sterile and patients feel as if they just another number. Total Mens is the complete opposite. If youre looking for a new GP and are in the area (or nearby), do yourself a favor and visit their Roanoke location.

I scheduled a physical and was able to get in and out for that in < 30 minutes. I did go in two times, but that was partly due to some scheduling confusion on my part when the main doctor was on vacation. Even with that, we were able to complete the basic vitals in one visit, then finish up the next day. The lab results showed up online, with a decent explanation of the various numbers. We had a quick follow-up to discuss those numbers and no issues.The staff were friendly and efficient. My scheduled time was accurate with no delays. Definitely worth checking out if you need a physical.

Cassandra Caballero, NCMA | Medical Assistant/Patient Coordinator ,,, Was amazingly Kind and Patient when she helped me by sending a detailed email and a follow-up phone call to walk through the process of switching my PCP over to the office in Roanoke. Cigna, as an insurance company is incredibly difficult to work with and I spent over 30 minutes on a call with customer service and Cassandra was on hold with me the entire time even after normal business hours To help me set up a televisit that I needed by the next day. I hope she gets the recognition and promotion that should come from Taking the time to really take care of the patient. She went above and beyond in my opinion. I was able to have a great call with the doctor in the televisit the next day. They even followed up after the call to see how everything went. I highly recommend them.

I cant believe how mistreated by your practice and staff. I first came to yall in July and had labs drawn. My insurance is Medicare advantage and was verified at the time of my visit. Since then I was referred to other doctors I needed to see without any issues. Until today that is. Upon arrival for my 2pm appointment only to find out your clinic doesnt take my insurance and never did. I was told by your staff that it was MY responsibility to make sure my insurance was valid. Not only that I was told all my referrals were no longer valid. To add to this the staff said I had a outstanding balance from Julys visits. I plan on writing a damming review on the the unprofessional incompetent and total lack of respect shown by your company

I went recently for some blood work and a general check up. I generally like many people dislike going to the doctor and it makes me anxious. Everyone was very nice though and made it as pleasant an experience as it could be. Happy to find a primary care office that makes me feel comfortable.

Don’t waste your time and money!! Went in for first physical in 20 yrs, Was told it was covered on insurance. It was, except for when they sent in blood work. Did they send it to someone covered by my insurance?? Of course not. Did they tell me anything about it possibly costing me if they sent it out?? Of course not. Told them everything that I was experiencing that brought me to them after 20yrs. Did they give me an idea of what my issue could be even after getting the blood work back?? Of course not. I was given a website to view my results and had to call multiple times to make sure I was interpreting the results correctly. Still have no idea why I’m experiencing the symptoms and definitely have an even greater disdain for any type of “doctors office” if u can call it that.

This was my first time visit and it was great. The staff was so friendly from the minute I walked in. My health was in need of some help! I received all the advice and treatment that I needed including my annual physical.

UPDATE- I was contacted by management and all of the charges were taken off of my bill. They were very courteous and apologetic about what happened.Trying to charge me for services that they assured me were covered by insurance. I made it very clear I only wanted the services my insurance would cover. In fact I actually stated, I do not want to find out after a few visits that I owe you money! and was told that would not be a problem. Now today they tell me I have a balance due because my insurance rejected some of the claims!

My visit was amazing, the first step to getting my health on track. My provider took time to examine all my complaints, we went through all options of possible treatment to find the one that best suited me. Having a PCP is an important aspect of preventive healthcare. As a man it’s something difficult for us to find a good Physician that tracks your health to ensure that you’re healthy as can be. At Total Men’s you can address all your health concerns, and get treated by professionals that understand it’s not always easy for men to open about health issues. This is great place for men that’s need assistance with maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

I have been a patient of Total Mens Healthcare for 5yrs. I have used their services in Austin, Fort Worth, and Roanoke. The service level has been consistently 5 stars every time. Check-in is fast, there is no waiting, they are very personable, they allow you as much time as you need to explain what you are experiencing. They listen, they question, then advise you of what is necessary to work out a health plan that meets your immediate and long-range health needs. 5 Stars!

Front doesnt have enough knowledge and lead is worse if you do not agree to what she have to say she will ask you to leave or say she will call security, nothing like a lead, amateur. I will not visit this location again nor recommend. There were no patients both times I went and no wonder there are no patients. PCP is good but there is just no way to reach out to her without having to go through the monkies in the jungle. There are good clinics out there than this.

They were kind and friendly. I didnt have to wait long and they make things easy. Most of my concerns they could handle without sending me all over town for follow ups. My biggest concern has always been what hoops will I have to jump through to get the help I am looking for. Here there were no hoops. Much appreciated.

1. Super easy and fast making the appt over the phone2. Great waiting lobby with keurig coffee, bottled water, various kinds of soda, some amazing potato chips plus some other snacks all complimentary.3. Filling out the 1st time patient forms online on my Iphone was a breeze. None of that 17 pages that never end and they need signature on every other :)4. The nurse practitioner was great asked me a couple of very pertinent questions then checked my ears throat heart beat and lungs and right away made the diagnose that it’s just a normal cold no covid testing no sore throat just a viral infection due to allergies. Besides the regular allergy medications like Claritin and Flonase for my out of control nose she also told me about some amazing cough drops. She also gave me prescription for antibiotic but told me just in case symptoms worsen or I get a fever but that I shouldn’t get it right now. Just perfection! Because the antibiotic she explained me it kills all bacteria even the good one from the stomach.
