From the moment i walked in to the moment i left, every single staff member was super accommodating and nice. they were offering snacks and drinks and blankets for anyone in the waiting room for an extended period. the nurses make sure you’re comfortable the entire time and really take the time to make you feel safe & properly cared for. you may have a longer wait but that’s because of the new laws and people coming from out of state, nothing the staff can control. They moved quickly while still giving the proper care.

I visited Planned Parenthood Roanoke in October 2023 after experiencing severe nausea and bleeding following a procedure at a different “womens health facility”. I was extremely anxious as I had to travel to Texas the next day and was worried about traveling with these symptoms. Despite not taking appointments that day due to the implementation of a new system and an early closing time, the staff at Planned Parenthood Roanoke recognized the urgency of my situation and saw me immediately for a quick evaluation.The team discovered that I had an infection caused by debris and tissue left from the previous procedure. They provided immediate care with kindness and attentiveness, ensuring I felt heard and supported. Their exceptional service and genuine concern for my well-being made a significant difference in my recovery. I am incredibly grateful for their prompt and compassionate care during a critical time. Thank you, Planned Parenthood Roanoke, for going above and beyond when I needed it most.I will donate and support this organization as long as it continues to be a supportive resource for those in need. Thank you !

They are all angels, extremely professional, extremely knowledgeable, and I appreciate every single one of yall I interacted with.Tip for those going to get a procedure done.. bring some snacks. As fast as they are they have a large amount of people they need to take care of, so youre gonna sit for a few hours.

First time ever going to planned parenthood and seriously could not have gone any better. From the second i walked into the doors i felt welcomed and safe. Their protocol is to ask your name and DOB and then confirm with your ID in order to be let into the main lobby which is something i appreciated more than i realized. Everyone i talked to was so nice and welcoming as well.I had an IUD removed and replaced and I let Ashley know beforehand that she may have some issue inserting the new one but the entire replacement took no more than 10 minutes(and thats including a papsmear as well)! she was fantastic talking me through it and reassuring me and explaining what was going to happen next.I was at the office for an hour and as I mentioned, from the time Ashley walked into the room to when she was done was 15 minutes(if that), so most of the time was just waiting, but it wasnt something that bothered me.The lobby and both bathrooms i used and the room i was in was very clean and tidy as well.overall the experience was a 10/10 and Ill be returning and recommending this office to everyone :)

I absolutely loved my experience with this clinic! I loved it better than going to my actual GYN! I called PP because my GYN couldn’t see me for an appointment to be put on a long term BC until a month and half and I’m a happily married woman so that wait period wasn’t going to work for me. So I called PP they saw me the very next day. The staff were all very friendly, respectful, kind, and informative. The place was so clean and decorated with inclusivity to all people of all races and genders which I loved! They were very understanding and reassuring of any anxieties I was experiencing during my appointment. Dr. Anthony Martz walked me through the entire procedure and reassured me the whole way from beginning to end. I left feeling confident and well informed in my choice of BC. Honestly I might just start going to PP for my annual paps or any other women’s health physicals that’s how comfortable I felt here.

I have nothing but GREAT things to say about these women who work here! It’s a given, you’ll be there for a long time waiting for your procedure but let’s be realistic.. they have MANY other patients in one day and when it comes to abortions, that isn’t something they can do quick and on to the next patient. There’s others things to take into consideration. But besides wait time, each and every one of these women were so sweet, nice, comforting, caring, made light of the situation, and most importantly made you feel important despite what you were there for. Day, the woman who does your education was amazing! she’s very informative and funny! after our meet she even made it a thing to come into my room to check on me during the procedure. Nona who actually performed my procedure is a character as well! she made me laugh and kept apologizing for any pain that was caused during the procedure. she CARES! they do well over 30 patients a day i would guess and to be one of the lasts ones of the day and still be treated with kindness and patience, and she actually took her time with being thorough in the procedure meant the world to me. they do a very difficult job at the end of the day and i can’t imagine the negative backlash they might receive from people on the outside but in my eyes, these women are ANGELS! giving women like me chances to start over after having made a mistake. I would recommend this clinic to ANYBODY and everybody. I was discouraged by the couple of bad reviews it had when i first read them but i went with an open mind and saw nothing of what those reviews stated. i give 50 stars!!

I had an appointment yesterday. These people were very nice and had amazing service: Ashley, Trejour, Taylor, and Jordan. Everyone except for the dramatic nurse Sullivan made me feel comfortable even when I felt nervous. The nurse Sullivan was very impatient,pushy, and unprofessional. After less than five minutes of being in the room with me, she put me in an uncomfortable position to start some of the procedure with no medication. When I mentioned how uncomfortable I was, she asked the other nurse to give me the medicine, put me in another wait room, and when I was finally relaxed and drowsy, she told her assistant to come to me that she will not be continuing the procedure. So I drove back to South Carolina without having my abortion.

I had a wonderful experience here! Everyone was so nice & helpful & very knowledgeable!

I love love LOVE this place. I come here for hrt and the staff and just process as a whole is amazing. The only issues i have is how hard it is to get an appointment quick, but i also understand how this is kinda the only planned parenthood in this area so they are going to be constantly booked up. The staff here is AMAZING. I’ve never had a bad experience or left a visit feeling bad. The staff and medical professionals are respectful, attentive, caring, and just overall amazing.

Extremely slow! Had an appointment for 11:40 AM, Arrived at 10:20 AM and it’s now 1:55 PM and we are still sitting here waiting. They send you back and forth between the back area and the waiting area multiple times with little progress! If you’re in a rush or have anything schedule I DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE!!2:30 PM - Still here waiting…3:00 PM - Still sitting here waiting…3:30 PM - GUESS WHAT STILL HERE WAITINGP.S. the staff is nice, they just move slow with no sense of urgency.

People at this job need to learn how to do it right. I suggest getting better receptionist instead of ones that lie. Don’t tell someone to come a certain day, and time just to lie and say you didn’t say that. Targeted at the blonde that answers the phone, and is at the front desk. Do your job right, or get a different one 💅🏼🤷🏻‍♀️💯

The staff are AMAZING!! They are so welcoming and down to earth. Ashley and her team are the one of a kind. Although I was in pain, they all were able to make me smile. I’m so glad I listened to everyone and decided to go there.

The staff here is incredible, I was listened to and felt like real human being. This has been my best medical experience in so long its not even funny. Completely recommend, its worth whatever drive

Ashley and the entire staff in Roanoke are amazing!!! I have never in my life looked forward to going to the doctors office. But I do look forward to seeing Ashley and everyone else, they treat me like a Queen!! Love you guys!!!Libby

Some days are slower than others due to some patients needing a little extra help and Assistance. The place as a whole is amazing. I love that other patients are understanding and are working with the staff to get all services needed. Some people do have long wait times but healthcare and people are unpredictable. Thanks to everyone for supporting Planned Parenthood.

Ive never been taken more seriously or treated with such respect. The most inclusive, welcoming, and informed place Ive ever been to! Multiple misc. reproductive concerns landed me in and out of the ER and were dismissed due to my age (27, 24 at the time of incident). I finally got the help I needed regarding answering questions about my health at this facility with my annual exam. Especially helpful for individuals on low income like myself. Thank you all for working with me and validating my health! Would highly recommend this place.

My experience was not the best at this clinic. The front desk staff are nice however the nurses are not fully trained they appeared incompetent which caused me to feel uncomfortable.

They ask for insurance information, then claim they can’t bill insurance and that it’s your responsibility to pre-authorize. Why would I do that without knowledge and if you asked for my insurance information when I made the appointment? Was asked to give hundreds of dollars before being seen, only to be left untreated. Very unprofessional. Go with an outside .org for your Telehealth, women’s health needs.

It was my first time visiting this clinic and I must say, I was impressed. Everyone there i talked to was friendly and tried to help as much as possible for whatever i needed. For low income and no insurance people such as myself they do absolutely everything they can to give you a good experience and give you the care you need. The only reason i give 4 stars instead of 5 is because they did not give perfect explanations to some questions about payment and did not explain to me the process they were going to put me through when i got there. Otherwise they were extremely friendly and did their best to give me the best care, the clinic was clean and an amazing place all around.

Such a wonderful place! The staff are so friendly and sweet, and they even have late appointments. Appreciating health care workers is so important, and these people deserve that and more :)

Very disappointed with this place. I have gone to these guys for years and had no trouble with getting results back until last month. I had a test ran on the 17th of May and left message after message until someone finally called me back Monday (June 7...)... I’m not sure who is in charge there but they dropped the ball. They claimed there was a letter sent to my address (which was never received). Either way, these were important results. The Doc told me she would call me that week regardless to check up and never did. I recommend a health department or somewhere with a little more professionalism.

I just love everyone that works here. The staff, the nurses and the doctors. I come in here for birth control and my yearly exams. They always treat me with respect and I thank them so much for the job that they do. :)

So they didnt send me the link or a text to check in. Then when I called, I was left on hold, so I was by then 10 minutes late for the appointment. They finally sent a link to get me checked in. I was left waiting at the screen for a doctor to show up and talk to me for like 10 minutes. Then they called me for my insurance information and personal info and pharmacy. Then they told me to wait for the doctor again, which I waited for another 10-15 minutes. And then they texted me asking for the same information I gave in the phone call. By then I was 45 minutes late for the appointment. Also the cost of the appointment last time was $50.They told me it was gonna be $129 this time. This waiting game happened last time with the same issue of no check in text or link, as well as waiting around for an hour to speak to a doctor.

Thrilled to have this as an option for people with no other choices, but ultimately this experience made me anxious and uncomfortable.The face time I had with the staff was pleasant enough, but I was shown to an exam room and left for an hour...alone...no explanation... no pants on. I just needed a pap and to discuss BC options.As someone who already feels anxious about going to the doctor, I think I will pursue care at a facility that has the resources to communicate with patients.

The waiting time for the appointment was crazy but honestly worth it. Everyone here was very professional and nice to work with. They answered all my questions. I got affordable help and it even comes with it’s own parade outside that march back and forth with signs.

Their PR talks about how much they care about patients no matter what, but they deny vital services to anyone who cant pay. This really hurts coming from planned Parenthood. I trusted them and believed in them, and it feels like that was misplaced.

Honestly had a great experience with the staff here! Every person that I interacted with was kind and helpful, and the procedure itself (I got a BC implant) was handled quickly and professionally. Thanks again PP!

Drove an hour out of my way to be told they didn’t accept my insurance when I was told over the phone to just schedule the appointment anyway because their website is “finicky.” Waste of time and unprofessional of them to not know what providers they accept or don’t accept when someone asks during a phone call.

Everyone was super welcoming and nice. As a women in this day and age I’m so thankful to have medical professionals take me serious and treat me like a human. Great facility & people!

Whenever I call I’m always left on hold for 15+ minutes and usually they never pick up. I use their transgender services and having my hormones is very important yet when I requested a refill I was denied with no explanation and can’t get a hold to them.

Slowest service I’ve ever received. Rude, and obviously didn’t care about too much. Was seen, then placed in an additional waiting room to be seen again for over a whole hour and a half. Was late to work because I was unaware an apt to receive birth control would total well over 3 hours.

I got nothing. I sat on hold for two hours just trying to reschedule an appointment. So much for quality care!

Very nice, personable, and informative staff. Genuinely care about their patients.

I have referred many people to PP, as well as going there myself. The staff are well-informed, explain things clearly and don’t pass any judgement. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Literally some of the nicest staff i have ever met in a doctors office like this. i absolutely recommend it to anyone in the area.

All I have to say to anyone who comes here and works here, may GOD have mercy on your souls.
