Instant Urgent Care

My 22mo son had a sudden swollen eye so we rushed him over to this urgent care. The staff was so kind, the facility clean and updated, and the Dr kind and knowledgeable. We were seen within 20mins of arrival, and that was even with a delay due to some insurance snafu of my own doing. My little guy was treated with care and patience. I am hugely grateful to the entire staff for their efficiency and kindness. We were home within an hour ♡

The experience started out well! The front staff were extremely helpful and the nurse was kind. I also did not have any problems with billing my insurance (Cigna). Unfortunately, my experience with the Doctor (I believe her name was Jennifer?) was so awful that I do not recommend coming here. She continuously talked over me as I was explaining my symptoms making infantilizing remarks about how I did not understand the medical science correctly. She dismissed my pain because I hadnt taken any pain medicine and I calmly tried to explain that I was having a difficult time moving at the time of the pain episode. At one point, she told me, I have to be an adult now. Huh? It took a lot of effort to get her to actually give me a diagnosis and treatment options. She also told me I looked good but needed to keep it tight to better manage my scoliosis. This is the worst, most unprofessional bedside manner I have EVER experienced from a medical professional, and I have had my fair share of bad experiences. So while I really appreciated the other staff, I feel compelled to post this as a warning to others to avoid this place.

I was in a bind trying to find a clinic to complete my medical clearance forms for my Peace Corps application, as my provider at Kaiser couldnt assist me. After reaching out to many clinics and health facilities without success, I finally found Instant Urgent Care. They accommodated me within an hour of my call. The staff, particularly Nurse Practitioner Sarah, were exceptionally supportive and dedicated. Sarah spent nearly two hours meticulously filling out my forms. I am deeply grateful for their assistance — words cannot fully express my appreciation. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Instant Urgent Care!

I have visited this location 3x now when my primary care is unavailable and I can’t speak highly enough of my experiences. Friendly staff and compassionate nurse practitioner. So happy they are only a 5 minute drive away.

I hadn’t been to an Urgent Care facility in ages while new to Medicare & no longer with Kaiser. I, however needed immediate attention and found this place online. They were conveniently located and had high reviews. The staff was wonderful. The attending physician asked many questions and did her homework in identifying the type of burn I had. I am much better now thanks to their help.

I have came to this location twice. Each time I was asked of my debit card when I had insurance. They stated that they just needed the debit card on file. That’s whatever. I went in today because I was having a hard time breathing I’ve been asthmatic since I was four hooked up to machines. My mother was a bad cigarette smoker and smoked while she was pregnant with me, I’m telling the doctor Jennifer, She is acting as if she doesn’t believe me. Then she proceeds to try to offer a different urgent care essentially pushing me away. So I asked her will I at least be able My asthma medication. She prescribes me A medication that does not cover on my insurance so I ended up paying over $40 for a medication that I’ve never been prescribed before that was pill. I was given nothing for my bronchitis and chronic bronchitis and asthmatic. She claimed that because she did not have my medical history. She was not able to prescribe me my bronchitis medicine, which actually helps me breathe. Why would I lie about not being able to breathe and having bronchitis and asthma?? I have never felt so discriminated against in my entire life. She kept trying to offer a different urgent care to me and then continue to prescribe me whatever that doesn’t even work for me and I had to pay out-of-pocket for something an allergy medicine when I should’ve been given a steroid for the chronic bronchitis . Please. don’t go to this place. They don’t care about your health. They have poor attitudes when you walk in they act and looked like they don’t even want to be there. Imagine going through a life-threatening experience the night before to come into an urgent care to try to receive some sort of help and get turned away and prescribed things that don’t even work for you and you end up having to pay out-of-pocket for it anyway when you have insurance. it was a complete nightmare. Terrible bedside manner. The doctor wanted to get into a pissing contest about which county had the worst healthcaresystem in California.Wrongful billing. They didn’t even try to charge my insurance and instead attempted to charge me personally.And when I asked for a certain test, they said that they were closing soon and I could come back at anytime and they would do it, but they didn’t even close for two hours, and could have easily just done the test then.

I was charged for an Influenza and strep test even though none of that took place. I drove back in to resolve the matter and they couldnt provide any assistance, told me to call their billing department. They also said I tested positive for strep. I think I would remember if they diagnosed me with strep. Billing department is useless too said they would help and never did. They clearly mixed me up with another client and refuse to help- just edited this from a 1 star review to a 4 star review, they refunded me for the test I was falsely charged for. It took a while but they got it done.

The healthcare worker I saw was nice enough but the people who got my insurance information didn’t pay attention to what kind of plan I had so I ended up paying a co-pay, being seen and given a referral to a specialist. Then they called me right after I left and told me that they hadn’t realized I had an HMO plan so the referral they had just given me would not be approved by my insurance and that I would have to go through my primary care doctor. I came here to expedite my referral so I wouldn’t have to wait for my primary care doctor’s appointment but instead this trip wasted my time, the time of the provider I saw, and they wouldn’t refund me my copay even though it was their mistake. Not a good experience at all.

The staff were all super friendly and I was seen very quickly. I don’t remember the doctor’s name that I saw, but she was so kind and helpful! I will definitely be back again for any of mine or my children’s urgent care needs!

Despite having only two rooms available for all patients, the medical staff at Instant Urgent Care clinic on Folsom blvd. in Sacto demonstrated exceptional kindness, empathy, and professionalism. Their accommodating nature and exemplary bedside manner should serve as a model for other medical professionals. Cheers!

The people at urgent care were very professional an went over all my concerns. I was in an out of the facility with no waiting. I picked up my prescription in a hr. Very satisfying!

Having to bring your kid to urgent care while on vacation can be stressful…but I can’t say enough about the staff here. Experience was amazing (friendly, compassionate, knowledgeable) from beginning to end. They took great care of my son.

JENNIFER FOLLESTAD is the person who saw my son. She didnt really give him a diagnosis. She said that he jacked up his knee. He had an 11am appointment & was home by 11:45am. He said that JENNIFER FOLLESTAD wasnt interested in his pain & just didnt care either. Maybe she was having a bad day. In this profession you need to listen to the patient.Well, he ended up go to his regular doctor & was told that he dislocated his kneecap! Im disappointed in this place! I wouldnt recommend this place either!

Great and quick customer service. I scheduled an appointment online. Staff were friendly and personable and got me in and out. No long wait!

Came in with a respiratory infection Id had for over two months about a week ago and was pleasantly surprised by the main Docs enthusiasm at diagnosing and prescribing antibiotics/steroids to help get rid of it after seeing multiple docs in Auburn who just kept pushing me to rest and drink fluids. When I went in for a follow up today that energy could not be more different. Oddly enough she started commenting on my Seroquel prescription (a low dosage at that) as stuff outside of her purview or expertise when it had absolutely nothing to do with the PHYSICAL issue of still having fatigue from breathing deeply. I ultimately got what I needed out of this urgent care, but that was wildly inappropriate and incredibly disappointing. Stop stigmatizing unrelated mental health treatment plans that are under control and completely unaffiliated with your lack of proper and specialized training. This kind of scrutiny hurts patients. Genuinely, do better. Will not be returning. (Admin/Nurse staff were excellent)

I always had only good experiences with this location until today. The front desk lady claimed I have to fill up all paperwork, because there were no files... I keep coming back for, I believe almost 2 years and suddenly it is gone? Then I was asked to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit, because I dont do Celsius...never happened before either. Then doctor, after I provided reasons for visit ( vomiting 5×, diarrhea, nausea, fever 39,3 °C, lost of appetite, pain in back) I was told it is too early, we dont do anything the first 24h, he is fine... ???!!! Seriously??? Yes, it wasnt 24hours, it was 22 hours. But I thought you treat every case individually and I explained my worries about giving my son medicine since he was vomiting, had upset stomach and I dont wanna make it worse. Well, you have to give him Ibuprofen to make him feel better. You have to help him. You dont take Ibuprofen when you have fever?The doctor said. I replied :no, I dont take Ibuprofen on upset stomach to make it worse! While she tried to find reason for the upset stomach, she jumped into conclusions of me not giving my son meat so do you know how meat tastes?...she asked. I said that he does eat meat, not his favorite, but meat is part of his regular diet. But youre vegetarian...she/doctor said. No, I answered, we eat meat, regular milk, real butter, while I was getting more and more irritated. I took my son in, and said so too, to make sure, nothing more serious is going on, since this time it wasnt typical, for him, response to stomach bug and was seaking advice, after checking him up about how to proceed not to worsen his diarrhea, fever, overall condition. Instead I was treated like someone who refused to help my child.Really, since when doctors/nurses do nothing first 24hours if child comes with stomach like symptoms? What if it is not only stomach bug? If I would live by this advice and doctors/nurses around my kids in the pass I would be childless. And that is what I told her. She replied I dont know anything about that and without even saying bye, she left the room. One more thing. If youre enforcing masks in your facility, shouldnt also the facilitys personal, including the doctor, wear it too?

Out of towner - traveling from Reno to Natacha and got sick. The doctor was amazing and very informative and eager to help. I would take this doctor over any that most plans pick. Extremely reasonable pricing and scrip filling was so convenient and fast just next door. Thank you to the staff for making me more comfortable.

The provider I saw today was so knowledgeable and kind! She explained everything to me in such great detail, I left feeling understood, educated and confident that I will start to feel better soon.

Yesterday, March 25th was the second time I have accessed health care via Dr. Jennifer, Urgent Care Clinic. She is great! She takes the time to listen to my concerns and explains the possible treatments. Due to doctor shortages within my health care system, I imagine I will be happily seeking timely health care again at this clinic. I wish Dr. Jennifer was my primary care physician within my insurance plan. The assistant at the front desk who is a nursing student as well was great too. He took my vitals, was polite and professional. V. O’Shaughnessy

I hurt my finger and went to this urgent care. I had seen it before but never stopped in. Instead , I used to go to the ER. $40 vs hundreds. No brainer.The staff was professional and the nurse practitioner was informative. Apparently I have an infection in my finger tip. I have to go back in 2 weeks to see if the antibiotic they prescribed fixes my problem.It wasnt too busy and I got right in, unlike the ER. That’s like buying a car, it’s an all day event. These people are very nice and helped me set up a primary care provider. They know my insurance better than I do.I highly recommend this walk in clinic. I will be going back in two weeks and in the future.Thank you to the staff .

Reception was friendly and and service was quick, however the doctor could have had better bedside manner. She seemed spacey and her humor was offputting. Left with a feeling of whether or not to trust her advice

I was seen at this urgent care for hearing loss/muffled hearing and pain in my left ear. I was seen within 5 minutes of arriving. The doctor was very knowledgeable and was able to figure out that I have a really bad sinus infection that was more than likely worsened by a flight I had recently been on. Will definitely be coming back when needed!

I will think twice about going anywhere else for my urgent care needs. The Dr. Was absolutely amazing! She took the time to discuss all my options and what she felt was best for me. Since I’m a cash patient she went over what was economically my best option and still great and affective. She was very informative and answered all my questions.

Its a very small office, but they were quick and through. For others who came in, there were issues with the online appointments. The staff were professional and resolved the issues.

I was able to se the physician very soon after I got to Urgent Care. The staff was wonderful, kind and knowledgeable. Will definitely be returning next time I have a medical concern.

Had a great experience here with clinician, Jennifer, and Tom the medical assistant. They were very warm and friendly, and took care of my minor injury. Would recommend. Quick tip: they are closed for an hour between 1:30 - 2:30.

(NEW UPDATE)I personal have a super hard time going to doctors, and my experience here is literally one of the reasons why. Every time they are dismissive and when you bring up questions/concerns, instead of them talking to you, they just ask “how do you know that? Even if you haven’t diagnosed?” Like excuse me? That’s literally why bringing it up to you. The front desk person/nurse was super nice and helpful but the doctor was terrible, dismissive, and not understanding whatsoever. She didn’t introduce herself so I dont even know her name. She refused to do any other tests even tho I was in severe pain.New update not even more than a day later, went to another urgent care! They actually took care of me and did the proper tests! Turned out I had mono which they did not test for, refused to further testing. If I continued on with my day, and ignored my symptoms it could of turned out super bad for me. The doctor here literally said “you are perfectly healthy besides a common cold :)” yall need to fire her.

Jennifer is awesome, she takes time to explain and care about the patient. I feel warm welcome and able to talk to her about my mom symptoms and feel better after she explains. Will come back again for check up.

After waiting for more than 30 minutes, the nurse (Jennifer Follestad) enters the room very angry at me and stares obnoxiously at me. Without even communicating with me about my problems, she starts accusing me and questioning my visit. She said this was Urgent Care and my concerns have no basis. During her talk, I merely suggested that I had gotten a food allergy panel from Quest Diagnostics to address a chronic gut problem that I have been suffering through for the past few years. In response to this, she acted in a very racist manner and told me that she went to Yale and is practicing western medicine and not whatever I was doing. She implied a premise that she never had any experience of anybody doing such a test on their own, therefore, it was fake without even looking at the results from a famous and approved lab performed in a hospital setting.Never at any point did I mention anything or discredit her education or expertise, but she felt it necessary to put me down for trying to explore new remedies to find a solution to my problem. I responded that I came here because I trusted the people and modern medicine. Then she began asking why Im here because of this small issue. I responded that I had visited a previous location at Rocklin and they informed me that the clinics offer primary care (something that was even advertised on the door of the entrance).After arguing and interrupting and interrogating me angrily, she stated that I shouldve Googled things before coming here. Something which I had previously done but felt provided insufficient help without consulting a professional.At the end of the visit, she got fed up with me and prescribed Bentyl to my pharmacy to get me out. All in all, I felt very disrespected without even speaking to the woman beforehand. She was angry and disrespectful the minute she walked in the door and before even speaking to me, which was very shocking.

I had a scheduled appointment for 2:30 pm but they are closed for lunch from 2:00- 3:05. I booked it online so I had no idea until I had shown up. In my frustration the person checking me in didnt even care. I was second to check in and the people after me went back before me. Im not happy.

Great experience. Person at front door was very welcoming, nurse practitioner was very helpful. Space was organized, efficient, and clean. Much better than the medical service I am accustomed to receiving at Kaiser.

I was able to be seen same day. The schedules an appointment online but it didnt go through on their end but they still saw me at my appointment time. they took good care of me and gave me the information I needed. I really liked the doctor I saw. The people working were very helpful

Seemed like nice people. But please be aware that this is a private practice that owns this location. Be sure to verify insurance before visiting and have them check the group you are under. Unfortunately, I did not receive any treatment here due to my coverage not being accepted.

Everyone there, Jennifer the PA, Thomas the MA, and Ky at the front desk were very nice. Jennifer was especially knowledgeable. It was great to find urgent care so close to my home, near Sacramento State Univ, Larchmont Riviera area. I highly recommend this urgent care!

I liked everything very much. Friendly staff. An excellent doctor, quickly found an approach to the child, answered all my many questions, all appointments are only on business and nothing superfluous.

Appointments easy to get online. Wait time was not out of line. Jennifer, the P.A. is just a super person. Compassionate, good listener, does not rush her appointments, and very good at figuring out what is causing the issue for your visit.

They charged my card for a wrong fee. Their billing phone line not helpful. Talked to a manager who said my card was not charged. I called my card company and my card was charged. I started a dispute process. Very poor client services and fraudulent place. I went there for just a PPD test, which was the longest PPD test I have ever done.

Best care Ive ever experienced. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Dr Kaur went above and beyond to make my son with autism feel comfortable during the exam. She thoroughly explained the diagnosis and treatment plan. The follow-up was also great.

Wait wasn’t extreme and I felt like the care provided was good. Doctor felt much more attentive and interested in helping me than most urgent care doctors I’ve been to before.

I thought they were very nice and professional. I liked the fact that the nurse had a device to show me the inside of my ear to show it was clear. She wasnt going to let me go until it was clear. I felt it was a comfortable, clean and friendly atmosphere.

I was really sick.Seen by Dr Jenifer.She suggested me that she need to see me again.Told me to make an appointment.Talked to young guy at the front.Dr was nice& experienced.Week later I drove all the way down there showed up on time to get seen by the Dr. but they said that my name is not on the list.Dr. and front desk person was different.Told me,if I feel okay,I can go !!! Wasted my time.I was feeling better but I was still sick.Needed more Medicine.Went somewhere else.Seems like they can’t handle when they get busy.

Everyone was kind, I was seen promptly there was ZERO wait, and they took my insurance. My visit was short as the doctor sent me to the ER (it was necessary) but I will be back for other medical needs as they arise.

Made an appt for this morning at 9am 11/4/2023.We have medi cal upon getting to the clinic gave our social for insurance because we don’t have the card on hand. They denied to see us without the card and said it would be $170 to be seen without insurance. Everyone and every single urgent care/doctor office can run your social and pull up your insurance info we’ve done it EVERY SINGLE TIME. Nothing worse than being so sick and making an appt thinking you’re going to be seen and get some relief and they then you away. I will never recommend this urgent care to anyone ever again.

I received immediate attention for my ailment. I pretty much knew what was wrong and that was confirmed and properly addressed. The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. The office was very clean and organized.

Original (7/19): Generally speaking, this place is great. Their billing/claims needs work. I was charged the full price for appt #4 (#1-3 was only copay). When I asked why, they said they dont accept my insurance. I know thats not true and Ive been trying to get them to attempt to submit a claim for me for 3+ months to no avail. Im at wits end and will never return to this place!Edit #1 (7/20): Ive received a call to get my claim resolved, which is fantastic! So, +2 stars! Once the claim officially goes through, I will edit again!Edit #2 (7/27): During the claim resolution call, she told me that she would call me back later that day or the following. Its been a week. No claim even submitted yet. Im not mad, Im just disappointed. -2 stars. Ive been trying to get the person who does the claims to just submit a claim since April to no avail. I think theyre trying to double dip. I have paid them and, if I forget and they put in a claim, the insurance can pay them, too. Im not sure if thats the intention, but it sure seems like it! Super nefarious!

The best experience in my entire life with a Doctor that care, took the time and explained. I will be selecting this Doctor as my primary for now on.All the staff super friendly and caring.

I would highly recommend Instant Urgent Care. I went to the clinic on Folsom Rd. in Sacramento. The staff was fantastic. They were very friendly and helpful. I saw Dr. Kaur and she was very thorough.She took the time to explain everything to me and what the diagnoses was and the treatment process to follow. The follow up from the office was fantastic. I was very pleased with the results of the appointment and the time taken to help me. Thank you so much Dr. Kaur.

Terrible customer service and very rude front desk employee. I’m now 24 hours past my originally appointment and still have no prescription submitted. I’ve called multiple times to follow up with little to no help. I had to go another day with my ear pain due to their unprofessionalism. The doctor was nice and the girl that started the exam was nice. Everyone on the phone was terrible

I had severe cold symptoms agrivated by a day of air travel that left me with sinus and ear pain. I was treated to help alleviate my immediate pain resolve my overal condition. Quality Healthcare without a long wait!

The 1st I went there they were fast but this time it took over 1 hour 1/2 to call me even with appointment. Doctor is good.

My boyfriend cut his finger really badly outside of this urgent care this morning while setting up a charity fireworks stand in the shopping center parking lot. Urgent Care wasnt open yet, it was too early. A staff member had arrived early for their shift, though, and went inside and brought him some stuff to wrap his finger up until the doctor arrived. Thankfully, they accepted his insurance and took him in to the doctor right away once they opened. Unfortunately, his cut turned out to be pretty bad and coupled with his way too high blood pressure, they referred us to the emergency room just to be safe. He had gotten pretty pale by that point. I happened to have a little medical issue myself, at the time, and had a Telehealth appt scheduled for the following day, which would require I miss more work. They said they could see me, too, while they worked on him (this is before they referred us to ER). The doctor saw me within a few minutes of completing my intake docs. She was thorough, asked questions and was genuinely present in the moment with me, engaged with me. Not like a lot of urgent care centers where they forget the care part of their title and focus solely on urgently acquiring billable patients.I would definitely recommend this urgent care! Jennifer Follestad was the doctor, by the way.

Great experience. I did a video chat. The staff were helpful, and the doctor was very nice and professional. I had to wait a couple of minutes on the call, but thats much better than having to wait up to an hour in my regular doctors office!.

I have been using this site over the last year. Today was great service by all, from the time pulling into the place, the actual performing of the test and the test results. All had a smile on their face and made the three of us relax for the actual smear and then off we went.Mind you the best part was getting the results in a timely manner so we can get printout and ready for our trip with no worries as to having the test in hand - it was there.I hope this site stays there for future tests.

Update: Jessica called back after my first experience and she was outstanding. Very professional, extremely concerned and through. Extremely positive experience and offered sound advice for my case. Definitely have a much better experience. They definitely take feedback to heart. Thank you for your time, advice and professionalism.

After waiting 12 minutes after my scheduled appointment time the doctor had the AUDACITY to cut me off while I was describing my symptoms to tell me she had other patients waiting. I had to give her a differential diagnostic label, as I know my history(thank god!) and she didn’t take the time to try to understand the issue. We were only on the phone for 4 minutes!! Told me she would be sending in 3 prescriptions, but the pharmacy only has 1. I’m in pain and grumpy, so everything with a grain of salt, yes? But this was so disappointing. Will avoid using again at all costs.

Good services but slow. Never received any medicine plus charging me. Welfare patient, where does the money come from??? Patient went without again???? Why ?? Administration patients need there medicine.Ron Koroush.

I had a virtual visit with a doctor. I went to the physical location, not knowing that they only had virtual visits. But the receptionist was very friendly and explained how to schedule a virtual visit on their website. I was on the phone with the doctor in less than 10 minutes. Very convenient. The doctor was friendly and listened to my issues.

Fast, staff was professional and courteous. My only issue was that I made an appointment online for 9:05 for a covid test and then found out that that was a mistake and had to wait until 9:30. Not a big deal, but hope they fix that.

Went to the Stevens Creek location for a covid test on 3-1-22. The young ladie that you first come in contact with as you check in, I think her name was Mauricia was very helpful. She was able to get me checked in and also helped me set up my medical portal. Excellent service.

Took longer to check in then to be seen and only to be sent to the emergency room 😡 she the doctor made us wait for a referral that was totally worthless again more wasted time15 to check in 5 minutes with the doctor and 15 minutes for a worthless referral and $50 out of pocket 😳

I actually have a split score: Dr Kaur gets 5 stars plus. She is knowledgable, respectful, listens, has great ideas and goes to find out if she isnt sure. She is a consummate professional and I cant recommend her enough.Dealing with the office system gets a 3, and can be annoying at times. However, it is worth it if thats what it takes to have Dr Kaur as your doctor.

Quick COVID test and results came back promptly. I also had a telemedicine video call with a doctor in order to get a letter of recovery from COVID for travel/work. That was really convenient so I didn’t have to physically go to the site. Insurance covered both so I didn’t have to file with my medical insurance. I would recommend.

My 9 yr old daughter took a Covid test and had such a horrible experience with one technician. Her name is Palak. We come here often. All the other technicians are great except for Palak. She bruised my daughters nose and she was crying and in pain for a long time.

The Santa Clara clinic asked me to wait on virtual video call endlessly till the doctor could join although I had an appointment scheduled. Whats the point of appointment if patients have to wait on the call without even being notified if the doctor is busy or not. Also, lady in conversation from the clinic was rude and illogical.

Instant Urgent Care staff were informative answered all my questions and best of all were super gentle and fast. I have been tested previously and had a terrible experience Instant Urgent Care was great !!

It was quick and easy online to set up an appointment I got in for a covid test appointment within 1 hour got there and was greeted by a very kind woman who quickly checked me in and did my covid test she made me feel relaxed and comfortable I waited in my car for the test results to be done which online it said it would take about 1 hour to one and a half hours to get the results but just after 20 minutes she had brought out my covid test results to my car I wasnt expecting that but that was extremely kind of her I highly recommend coming here if you need a covid test done theyre very fast and kind!

They will tell you your insurance is not accepted & double charge you!! Please don’t go here… you’re better off guessing… the nurse was googling my symptoms.

My biggest problem with my testing experience is I had a 900am apt and I was there at 845am at 900ish they started setting up for the cars,so we really got started at about 920.i had a 930 client so I was sweating watching the guy set up.when I have a 900am apt and they walk in my shop Im ready to go.Peoples time is important.

Took a COVID test. Was there no longer than 10 minutes. Did not hurt or feel uncomfortable. My 2nd time getting a test at this location.

Doctor not responding to messages. Office not responding to messages. Multiple phone calls to even get someone to answer the phone. Forced appointment that resulted in the doctor getting no additional info to what Id given during the phone call.

So accommodating and kind especially with my sensitive situation. Also, very fast to respond and get me an appointment.
