I recently visited here when I was feeling awful one morning, and ended up having strep. The doctor and nurses working there, on a Sunday, were the absolute best, I have never received treatment like this at any doctors office. They immediately saw me after walking in and filling out some paperwork, after the strep test came back positive they gave me meds right there in the office. They were also worried I was dehydrated so they offered to run an IV of fluids so I wouldnt have to worry about swallowing water. Besides the fact the treatment was above and beyond, the women working there were so nice and concerned for my health. I would definitely come back here if I have any other health concerns!!!!

I was recently visiting my son in San Francisco and was feeling extremely miserable. To my great fortune I happened upon this amazing urgent care clinic. While other clinics told me I would have a long wait, this clinic cheerfully gave me an immediate appointment. The receptionist, the nurse, and the doctor were all fantastic, friendly, and caring. I left wishing I actually lived in San Francisco so I could make them my go to care option. Seriously-- this was an amazing visit for me. I left knowing exactly what was going on with my health and feeling reassured and on my way to health, with antibiotics in hand!!

The staff was amazing!!! I was visiting from out of town and had an unexpected emergency... It was one of the most embrassing moment in my life but the staff was great and helped me feel better asap. They even accommodated me while I waited for my boyfriend. I highly recommend this facility and staff. One of the best experience I had in a urgent care.

I was visiting from out of town when I had a fall and hurt my wrist. My daughter made an appointment on-line which was very convenient. The Urgent Care was very clean, the staff were very professional, and thorough. An x-ray showed no breaks; just sprained. I was fitted with a brace, given a CD of the x-rays, and paperwork with instructions on how to care for a wrist sprain. Excellent facility!

Front desk was extremely friendly, competent and efficient. The location was clean and i didnt wait long at all before I was seen by the doctor. The doctor was friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, and willing to help beyond the standard diagnosis. His honest concern for me produced action, and i only wish he were my primary care physician. Highly recommend this place.

I was initially told my copay was 200$ more. Thankfully I called my insurance and checked. Have been waiting 3 hours (office is not busy). And my call back time has been 0-20 minutes for 2 hours. It just moved to 27-47 minutes. When I asked the receptionist she appeared confused and indicated the times are meaningless. I have been to a few urgent cares in the area. I recommend avoiding this one.Otherwise clean office and people seem nice. Its good if you have the day to hang out here.

I came in with almost no notice near closing time on a Saturday. It was my first visit to this facility, and the friendly staff helped me register in record time. I was in extreme back pain from a sports injury, so having a doctor see me in under an hour and diagnose my issues was nothing short of miraculous. Considering my past experiences at other medical care locations, I will make a point to come back to this location because of the positive experience I had with the amiable and efficient staff.

This was the best experience. I arrived with a swollen eye, that would not open, and left with both ways open. Dr.Paula Arriaga and the staff were kind, friendly and courteous. The place was immaculately clean. This IS the place to go if youre not feeling well and need medical attention. Thank you again for making me feel better.

This place is a joke. It’s my second time here and the first time the team was completely inept and now I am here and they aren’t even open although their hours clearly say they should be. Good thing I came here to have someone help me with my urgent medical issue. Outrageously frustrating.

I agree whole-heartedly with the earlier review. The office was outstanding in every way. What I wanted most was reassurance regarding a virus, and thats what the doctor provided. She examined me thoroughly and listened to me attentively. I wouldve had a miserable weekend had I not gone. Im very grateful.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. I dont know how they hired the people working there, but no one there felt like a competent medical professional. I had been sick for over a month and wasnt getting better, so I went to GGUC on Valencia. The nurse barely seemed to know how to take vital signs, which should have tipped me off. Then the doctor who saw me believed I was perfectly healthy, despite a burning chest and persistent cough, and then proceeded to totally misdiagnose me AND give me a random medicine (which I later found out was the wrong thing to be taking for what Im actually sick with). After I left and started taking the medicine, I started getting even sicker. A week later had to go see another doctor, who was surprised by what the woman at Golden Gate had prescribed me and asked me to stop taking it immediately. I feel frustrated that this ugly (and expensive) pop-up clinic is taking up space in the Mission.I doubt all of the GGUCs are like this, but if you have something besides a very obvious UTI or ear infection, dont go to the one on Valencia.

Staff was incredibly friendly and eager to share knowledge on treatment management. No wait time at all in the mid-afternoon.Very well-appointed space. If doctors offices were redesigned in this day and age, it would look like this.

Dr. Arriaga was very caring, efficient, knowledgeable and prompt. She saw my wife and me for symptoms of the flu, examined us, tested us for the virus and treated us with very effective medicine (tamiflu, ibuprofen) all within a short office visit. We followed her directions and felt better. She is wonderful and we highly recommend her.

The medical care I received was fine, but my card was charged three times in error meaning that I paid almost $1,500 more than was due. Despite several attempts to remedy I have not been contacted (not even an acknowledgment) by the manager and have now had to request a refund through my card company.

Customer service was good, but i think its hard to think that when you go in and your going to get good information on what is going on. i went in thinking something was not right with me, and the doctor took like two minutes to tell me see a specialist. I go to the specialist because of buzzing in my ear and he told me there is nothing wrong with you that you needed to be here. He said you have a virus or some sort. He was confused and i was confused because i just spent over 600 dollars. I did see another doctor and he confirmed it a was virus and said it will pass. The symptoms i was having was that of a virus. I didnt know that at the time. It would of been nice maybe to take more time to figure out the problem. I dont expect a ear doctor to tell me you got a virus, i thought it was serious.

Similar to other reviews here, I have had multiple bad experiences at this location. Its convenience keeps luring me back, but tonight once again confirmed that I should never return.Called GGUC-Valencia at 7:37pm and asked if they were still seeing people (because I knew they closed at 8pm). The person who answered the phone grumpily groaned that yes they are still seeing people. I told them I was on the way. Arrived at 7:43pm, and a woman immediately told me they were no longer seeing patients. I explained that I had just called 5 minutes before. She looked at me incredulously and said thats impossible - I havent had any calls. When I got home, I double checked the number I originally called - it was definitely the correct number for GGUC-Valencia.Unfortunately, every time Ive been to GGUC, the employees seem to hate me or their lives and jobs. They dont want to help, they dont want to be there - you dont want to entrust your health with them.

Beware: new ownership, less care.GGUC was recently acquired by Dignity Health and this has had profound impact on their policies and, ultimately, the care you will receive. I had a visit today where I was basically refused any medical attention: I presented symptoms that I had in the past (recurring condition), and GGUC refused to offer a blood test. I have taken the same exact exam, at this very facility, half a dozen times in the last few years without a problem. The attitude has aggravated, too. Im lucky that I know my condition and understand how important it is to perform tests when symptomatic (which I will, elsewhere). Other patients experiencing an illness for the first time may not be so lucky - and end up in trouble when GGUC denies something as basic and important as a blood exam. I will look elsewhere for my medical needs and I recommend you do, too.

Very friendly and professional staff, great location and very short wait between arriving and seeing a PA. Only catch this location doesnt have an x-ray machine so if you need imagery you may need to take a GGUC provided ride to another location.

Had a positive experience at this location. Came in at 6 pm, registered, and was seen all in less than an hour and a half, which seems relatively fast for a last minute walk in on a Friday. Staff was professional and facility was very clean.

Been there twice now. The first time the doctor prescribed proper antibiotics after a bacterial culture, second time they didnt do a culture and ended up giving me antibiotics the bacteria was resistant to and ended up requiring me to go to the er and doubling my recovery time.

I like this place. There’s a lot of similar places but every time I go to this one I get seen really quickly and everyone’s nice. They have prescribed the correct medication and I got better multiple times in the past couple years since they opened.

Easy visit for a sore throat. Quirky dog sculpture was a plus

The staff was incredibly friendly! And FAST! I left with a treatment plan rather than a “I don’t know”. I highly recommend this location!

Great service! Ive gone there twice in the past few months. Theyre fast to provide walk in help on weekends, friendly and helpful staff, and reasonable prices for the care they offer!

Been here many times, as it’s close my house and extremely fast and convenient. I never wait more than ten minutes, everyone that I’ve dealt with has been nice and friendly and they know what they’re doing.

Very professional, great bedside manner and speedy service. Went on a weekday afternoon. Online appointments available.
