We went to the sugar land location for the prenatal DNA test. It went smooth. Got results in about 7 business days and happy with results.

This was a very professional experience for my Hair Follicle Drug Test. The process was thoroughly explained and carefully administered. Results arrived within an early time frame (2 days instead of the original 3-5 day window). Really helped me in my future endeavors explaining a previously false positive test that wasnt properly administered at a different establishment. I would highly recommend this to anybody needing clear test results. The experience made the hour and fourty minute commute (to-and-from) worth it!

I researched several locations for DNA testing and Optimal Lab came in on at the top. I drove an hour but it was worth it. I could not have asked for anyone better. She was very professional and very empathetic while taking samples as well as patient as my dad is not an English speaker. It is sad this test had to be done, but I was very glad that we took it at Optimal Lab. I also got fast results as promised. He is my father.

BLOOD ON THE TOURNIQUET. THE PLACE SMELLED LIKE PUNGENT HERBS. The young lady with the hijab was very nice. Asked me to pay up front which I did, But when I went to sit down to have my blood drawn. The chair was not wiped down. smudges all over. I looked over and saw that the blue rubber tourniquet that was neatly draped over the right arm rest had DRIED BLOOD. On it when I pointed it out she quickly apologized and reassured me it was a MINOR mistake. I asked for a refund and left. The entire “clinic” smelled like pungent herbs. maybe curry idk.

Jahan was exceptional, both in her chair side manner and kindness. Needles are not my friend but she did everything to make me feel comfortable & at ease. Thank you.

I have scheduled appointment for a test at 8 am , there was nobody! I called and they said they open at 9am! Again at 9am nobody! I have to call again and after all she showed up at 9:10 am with her kid! Is that how supposed to be? What kind of service is that? Unbelievable, unprofessional, unresponsive! If you have scheduled a test do not go! Change to different location! I do not recommend 1000%!!!!

Fahmeena was amazing and appreciated her taking the time to send me information/pdf on what the exact food sensitivities tested for are in each test. That is the reason for the 3 stars. But the loss of two stars were a result of my actual experience there. Lab tech Nicole was very nice but not sure if she was very new (like right out of phlebotomy training?) or not and did not know correct practices. She cut a hole in her glove which is unsanitary due to scissors being used for who knows what and not sanitized regularly resulting in possibly contaminating my open wound, as well as possibility of her being exposed to my blood. I asked her to replace her glove (which she did when requested) and she said she was taught to do this. What?? Who would teach someone that? I know it can be difficult to find veins sometimes but still not safe.Also, I believe if you work in the medical profession you need short and clean nails vs long or really long fake nails. Youd be surprised the bacteria that can be caught underneath. Its also more difficult to fit them under the gloves when they are an inch or longer. She missed my very well hydrated veins and told me I to drink water to hydrate. Just fyi I dont think Ive ever had anyone have to stick me twice. I told her I just drank a bunch of water and asked her to do the other arm. She did and was successful but her torniquet was very low (like barely above the elbow joint), which I raised it myself because I didnt feel it cutting off my blood like its supposed to do. She dropped a tube, and just took an uncomfortably long time throughout the process (which everyone hates getting blood drawn and needles so we want this over ASAP). I honestly thought Id have to come back later when a different phlebotomist was there, but thankfully it was done successfully the second stick. I asked when results would be back and she said 1-2 days. Then Fahmeena told me like 5 business days as I was leaving as an FYI. So its also good to check the answer before you tell a client result time as to not get hopes up. Last but not least a random open urine cup sat 5 feet away just hanging out on the counter. So overall I could have had a better experience, but maybe experiences vary depending on who works the shift? The end. ;)

Very expensive , wrong test and no insurance. Bad communication . Please go somewhere they accept insurance and not these crazy prices for no reason. Bathroom terrible and never can get blood. Always tells you your dehydrated and to drink more water.

Let me just say I get really nervous getting my blood drawn because of past experiences in other places. My arm would get bruised after having blood drawn. When I visited this location on Saturday morning I was in and out did not feel a thing nor did my arm get bruised. Anytime I need blood work I will be coming here !

Over the phone I asked them for the cost of one of their tests and they told me around $90. When I went in for the test they said it is $189, but when I told them that someone had said $90, they honored their word and charged me $90. Super professional team and great response time!
