Planned Parenthood - Syracuse Health Center

The staff here didnt make me feel comfortable, I came to them seeking help and they didnt care they were pretty cold. Locked me out told me they were to busy. I was just trying to make an appointment. Ive been trying to get ahold of them for a while no response, and you cant call them on the phone. Not a credible business. In my personal experience this facility should be avoided.

Just go somewhere else. You’ll wait over an hour from original appointment time with zero acknowledgement from the time you walk you in. If you can’t devote an entire day to sitting in the waiting room then don’t bother. If they don’t have enough doctors then limit how many appointments you scheduling. Considering that you have to schedule out the appointments several weeks/months and then still have to wait an hour and a half to be seen for 30 seconds and half of your issues are ignored.

From the scheduling of my appointment to check in, triage, exam and checkout everyone was amazing. The staff, nurses and doctors were all and compassionate and non judgmental. The facility is very clean and the atmosphere is calming. I went to this facility as there was no lengthy wait time to get in. Its sad the controversy and criticism Planned Parenthoods get due to the fact they perform abortions. Whats sad is the ignorance of some people. Planned Parenthood offers so many other services that are vital to womens health of all ages. They also offer free things as well to women and children and I think thats pretty cool. I am over 50 and went in for a check-up and was treated with the upmost respect and compassion. None of the staff I saw rushed through anything and took the time to listen , document and address my concerns as an older woman. I cant speak for all Planned Parenthoods but as far as this one is concerned. I highly recommend this location. Thank you

I do NOT leave reviews ever- but the service I received at this Planned Parenthood deserves it. I arrived with the typical protesters outside, leaving me with more anxiety than I came with. The second I stepped into this PP I felt immediate relief and comfort. Every single person along the way was incredibly kind and attentive. I touched base with about 8 (yes, 8!) staff throughout my appointment process (from front desk to nurses and doctors) and I always felt so safe and completely heard. Aside from the comfort the staff brought me, they are all very knowledgeable and I never felt like anything was done only half way. I traveled about an hour to visit this Planned Parenthood as opposed to one closer to me and it was so worth it to leave feeling more whole than when I arrived. I highly recommend this Planned Parenthood for ~any~ service you are seeking.I am so appreciative,-Kayla

Cold, and unknowledgeable. As a Syracuse native, there have been a handful of times I or friends needed care here over the last 20 years. I support their mission wholeheartedly, however the reality of the experience here has been awful every time, years apart. I highly suggest you find another provider for these services.

The whole staff here was incredible! The desk attendants were so sweet and made me feel so comfortable. I was nervous but the environment was comfortable and very welcoming which made me settle in and my nerves go down. The nurse that I had, Cece, was so sweet and is so good at her job. I hope I spelled her name right. They were very welcoming and made the uncomfortable topic and appointment natural and easy. Schedule an appointment over the phone its much easier than the website I found. (:

The staff there is wonderful. They make sure you know what is going on and that you are completely comfortable with the process.Only thing I wish was different is I hate going through a answering service to get appointments change or questions answered. Wish I could contact directly.

Facilities are pleasant, clean and up-to-date. Online appointment system is wonderfully simple and convenient. Check-in process was a breeze using the Phreesia tablets. Staff was incredibly personable and professional. I cannot say enough great things about the NP and nurse I saw - took the time to go over my health history with me and answer all of my questions in-depth. Planned Parenthood, on the whole, is an invaluable resource in addressing the well-care needs of women and men alike, and this location is no exception. Would have given it 5 stars if not for the inordinately long wait to be seen (about an hour past my appointment time).

This is a wonderful office! The staff is very nice, they accommodate you in whatever way they can, and they never rush you through like most other places. I always leave feeling like they really cared about me and my well-being. Highly recommend!

Staff is VERY rude to patients. They are not fully honest on what they did to me. They also refuse to give me my medical information and think the best way to treat patients is to leave them on hold. I called to get some information to give to my PCP I could not call until after 4pm. So I was left on hold from 4:15-5pm so when I called back the office was closed. With the dirty exam rooms with weird looking bugs crawling throughout the place I do not want to step foot near another Planned Parenthood office again.

Can I get my babies diapers here without having an appointment?

I’m not usually one to complain until I ABSOLUTELY have to. I’ve been on testosterone for three months now through planned parenthood. It is literally 1 prescription a MONTH and they somehow cannot manage to send it through to my pharmacy on time. 2 of those 3 prescriptions have been late on planned parenthood’s part. Don’t go on testosterone through these people if you’re not willing to go 1-2 weeks without it. Not to mention I’ve been trying to call this place CONSISTENTLY over the passed 30 days to refill my medication and I’ve only had 1 person answer the phone. Highly disappointed 😀

These guys never know how to do anything in a timely manor, constant hour long waits just to get into 5 minute appointments, and to renew a script requires an least three or four phone calls because no one does it the first few times. Never a pleasant experience here.

Just visited there and have to say my appointment was PHENOMENAL. from the secretary to the nurse to the PA , everyone was amazing and everything was fast

Their name is deceptive, they don’t even refer people to help women find prenatal care let alone plan for parenthood.

They are very nice and will help you out if they can. The place is nice and clean they could not help me there but gave me a list of places that could do what I needed.

Clean facility but they do not not answer call been calling for 3days no answer goes in to get my results printed & I was told about a online portal but was not given the token number so I can’t even log in

Literally love this place been my favorite place for estrogen always on time and they actually listen and help ❤❤❤❤
