AFC Urgent Care Citrus Park

I went today to AFC care citrus park today, My son need an imigration physical. Dr. Meyers and the staff were highly professional, they treated my son with an amazing professionalism and courtesy. The Medical assistant was very nice to us and relax my son before she took his blood samples and give him his vaccine boosters. Im very happy and pleased with this urgent care. Im a healthcare provider myself and this office staff Rock!!!!AAA they are awesome.

I was visiting Tampa with my kids from out of town and feeling awful. My body hurt, no energy and couldn’t swallow without excruciating pain. I scheduled online for an appointment. It went great. I had a very short wait once I arrived. The office staff were kind, courteous and professional. The medical staff were fast, efficient and thorough. I was diagnosed with strep and started antibiotics. Everything went better than I expected with a walk-in clinic I was unfamiliar with.

Excellent place. Went for a Covid test to travel, lovey front staff and nurses, super fast and efficient. 5 stars.

I have been in several walk in clinics. I’m most pleased with AFC at Citrus Park. I was seen in a timely manner and Dr. Mayer listened to my concerns and was very reassuring. His treatment was compassionate and effective! It is so good to know that this clinic is available when I need it.

Dr Mayer and staff extremely courteous, helpful, informative and knowledgeable, from the front desk to the medical provider. I was taken care of immediately. And most importantly to me they were open on a holiday when three others in my area were closed. So that was very much appreciated as I was pretty sick. Diagnosed and given treatment and prescribed meds accordingly. We’ll definitely use them for any future needs and highly recommend them.

I am very satisfied and impressed with each professional who works here. I hurt my foot and I was taken care of expeditiously. Kasha was amazing- just a plethora of medical advice! She examined my foot very thoroughly and had an x-ray taken. I believe Juliet gave me a boot and Kasha required a follow-up next week. The young lady who took the x-ray was great. In addition, upon arrival, I was greeted by a very friendly, professional young lady.This urgent care deserves more than five stars. I feel fortunate this office is so accessible.

The staff here is so kind, helpful and professional. I am very grateful to have gone here for my diagnoses and inquiries.I would even go further to add that the front desk ladies today were so fun and approachable, which was reassuring and greatly appreciated as I was in discomfort. 10/10!

I was seen at AFC Urgent Care the other day. The doctor and staff were very friendly and helpful. I got in and out quickly. The medicine was sent to the pharmacy with no issues. The doctor seemed very knowledgeable and handled my illness (the flu) with Tamiflu which made me feel better within a day. Will definitely be back if needing medical attention.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. I called ahead to verify they could take my form of payment and they said they could and at the end of the appointment they told me they could not. The doctor was also terrible. I repeatedly told him I didn’t have what he was telling me I had, and he would not listen. I ended up going to a different clinic that confirmed he had misdiagnosed me. Bad service & bad patient care. They don’t care about patients. Just about getting people in and out as quickly as possible regardless of good treatment.

Just went there yesterday after being sick all night. I didn’t interact with the receptionist, my mom did as I was too weak to do much else but sit down, so I can’t speak to that aspect of this office. The wait time was about 30-40 mins which seemed a bit long since there was no one else in the waiting room when we got there. The nurse who attended is in the triage room to take my vitals was super nice and friendly. I find a lot of medical professionals are quick to treat you like just another patient and are cold and have a “I could care less attitude” that was not the case! She also later came into the exam room to take my blood sugar and was just as friendly then. Don’t remember the doctors name but she was kind of short with short black hair tied back. Really enjoyed my visiti with her! She actually listens to you and lets you explain everything that’s going on without cutting you off after you list a few symptoms and prematurely diagnosing you just to get you out of the office so they can move on with the next patient. And also explained all our options thoroughly and helped us understand what the best one was. I got treated like a human here not 1/50 patients and I really appreciated that!

I have used this urgent care on a regular basis. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The Doctor and PA’s that work here are knowledgeable and have always had my best interest in mind when evaluating me. I will continue to go to this clinic for my future needs.

I was able to get in and out quickly when I got strep throat on vacation. Lisa at the front was courteous and efficient. Laura and Tasha were attentive and kind as they helped me figure out what was going on and how to feel better. I’m grateful I came here.

I just went there for a drug screen I needed to have 2 done. The lady by the name of Annette made every excuse on how or why she could not do the drug test. She did one but the other she claimed it wasnt on E Screen. I had to go to another location and they did the 2nd test and it was on E-Screen. Basically she just didnt wont to do it. If you dont wont to work please stay home.

Pleasantly surprised the wait time was minimal. Staff was friendly and helpful on the phone and in person. Dr. Tasha Corinth went above and beyond to keep me comfortable, answer my questions and refer me to the care I needed extremelyfast. I am incredibly grateful to meet a physician who was so thorough and kind. Thank you

This is a very busy yet efficient Urgent Care center. Anna was so helpful, professional and friendly! She made me feel very comfortable and safe. And I am impressed with how well they managed social distancing and getting patients seen in as short a time as possible.

I called asking questions in regards to the Immigration Physical exam and to set up an appointment and got in contact with Lisa who was extremely rude and demeaning while barely answering my questions. Would recommend you have someone who sounds like they want to do their job answering phones instead of Lisa who sounded like she really didn’t.Edit: Now allegedly a Lisa doesn’t work at thislocation despite multiple reviews that include a person by the name “Lisa” and me asking the woman for her name. Instead of trying to deflect and make it seem like my review was meant for another location, review the calls and ask Lisa to be a bit kinder and patient especially when dealing with people inquiring about medical services.

Tasha (PA) Laura (MA) and Lisa at the front were all super sweet and made the process really quick. Within 10-15 minutes I was out and heading home. I would love to have them again if I ever need to go to the urgent care again

I brought my son in today for an office visit and normally I love this place we have been coming to this walk in for a while now and I have never been brought out of character until today with the front desk receptionist by the name of Ellie. She was very rude and had an attitude I couldn’t believe someone in her position would have. She was slamming and tossing clip boards and paperwork all over the place. Every response from her had anger in her tone and even tried to become combative with me when I brought up the fact that she had an attitude. The rest of the staff and visit was amazing but that type of behavior especially during hectic times such as what we are all dealing with now was very uncalled for.

AFC was very clean outside and inside. The staff was attentive and friendly. I had to bring one of my 98 year old residents here for a COVID test and they got me in quickly so she wouldn’t have to wait long. Making appointments is the best way to go! Amazing place!!

I had reason to stop in here to look for Covid testing due to recent exposure and some symptoms.This is a very busy time for these things,but the gentleman at the desk was very polite,and told me when their next availability of swabs would be--because they were out that day.I went back to just check today-and Mary at the desk took my contact info,and actually called me back and got me in today!!I was impressed that I even received some counseling,a physical exam and a prescription, based on my symptoms.I truly thought it would be a brief test and out the door,so the service and attention I received definitely surpassed my expectations.I have seen this clinic for years,but never really noticed it until I needed it.Now I will definitely use them again and have recommended to neighbors and friends.Thank you.

Usually AFC urgent Care has been a preferred destination, its been life saver for sick visits when you are out of luck to get time from your PCP. Have also been to the Citrus Park location quite a few times and the experience has always been top notch. But lately things are not that great. Am not sure if the front desk staff has changed, but the experience has been going downhill since our last few visits.In one of the recent instances I called up to pass on the message from my Pharmacy that the med dosage prescribed required revision, and the front desk lady wouldnt listen nor acknowledge to relay my message to the doctor. She kept insisting that it is on the Pharmacy to call them up directly. Am like, I need my meds so if you want to figure that out between yourselves, and then she just hung up the phone on my face.Called back again and this time the other guy from the front desk received, just to reiterate the same procedural nuances. However he finally agreed to relay my message to the doc after much perseverance, only after I questioned his authority as to how he may block a patient from communicating with his/her doctor.Am not coming back to avail there services with this level of front desk service.

Good experience overall. Taken back and treated promptly. The receptionist could have been a little more welcoming, but it wasn’t an issue. Treated very kindly. Rx was electronically sent which went smoothly as well.

This place had nice staff, we came in last minute for a COVID test while on vacation- our honeymoon to be exact. Speedy but we paid $$$ for the tests. We were super happy and felt that this place helped us out so much. Well, a few months later we got hit with a $45 “office visit charge” per person which was not disclosed at the time of COVID testing( we would have paid it then) plus, we didn’t have any visit with a doctor. Just a rapid test.. We tried to dispute and they ignored. Tried to dispute when sent to collections, again ignored. Beware before you go here.

6th time coming to this clinic and first time leaving disappointed. The medical service and most of the staff were pleasant as usual. However, one of the ladies in the front were particularly rude to me and other customers there. She was unwelcoming, self-grandiose, condescending, uninformed and obnoxious. I will take my business to other providers as I will not stand for this again.Response: Thank you for getting back. Yes, this did happen during my visit. She was rude and condescending, and not only to us. Look at it as you may, I already made my decision.

I had to get in quick for a tetanus shot after an injury. They were very fast and efficient. Ellie and Tiffany got me checked in, vitals taken, and into a waiting room pronto!! Lisa Rey was very sympathetic and professional in her patient review and not only agreed with the tetanus shot, she also proscribed a short antibiotics tract to assure my wound didn’t develop an infection. Then Jennifer jumped in almost immediately after and efficiently gave me the vaccine shot which I didn’t even feel! Great experience and Im feeling better that I took the procautions to make sure my wound doesn’t turn worse. This is my 3rd visit here and it’s always a lot better than dealing with the hospital or attempting to see someone as a walk-in at my physicians office for sure!!!

I hurt my wrist in a minor fall they were fast, the receptionist today was very welcoming, friendly caring. The nurse was great he was with me from start to Xray and very nice. The doctor was very sympathetic kind and got me back to work in no time. Very clean love the prices all posted so no surprises. I definitely would recommend them. Thank you for getting me on the road of recovery

Wow what a great experience I had at this family care facility. Dr. Mayer, Tiffany, Lisa and Bree went above and beyond to treat my injury. Despite being completely slammed with patients they worked together as a Team. I highly recommend coming here👍💯⚡️

Dr. Jonathan Mayer and Lisa were magnificent. I got there in pain and in tears. I left there thanking them for saving my Christmas. Had to wait to be seen but it was not bad. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I am so grateful for your care. Deeply Thank you!

We had an exceptional experience here at AFC Urgent Care / Gunn Highway. Doctor Mark Mayer and his staff were very attentive and provided wonderful care for my son! The receptionist was friendly and the nursing staff was reassuring and professional. We were seen in a TIMELY manner ( the hospital ER is a nightmare---- been there, done that!!! No thankyou)...and received excellent care! Thankyou Dr. Mayer and team! If we need urgent care again in the future, we will be sure to come here!!!

Absolutely horrible customer interaction. Website and door says hours are until 8pm. I came in at 7:15pm with an infection. Waited for 10 minutes because there was no one at the counter. Finally a snotty assistant came up and asked if I needed help. I explained I had an infection that I needed looked at. He replied that they dont see anyone after 7:30pm. Remember, the website and the door said they close at 8pm. Am I supposed to be telepathic to know that they really meant 7:30? No concern for the patient. Well, maybe all the walk-in clinics operate the same way, I dont know. All I do know is that theres never anyone in there when I go (usually as a last resort).

I called this clinic with questions about Covid-19 antibody testing. The receptionist patiently answered my questions. In fact, I called her back two more times with other questions and she was just as nice with each phone call. When we went in for the test we had the same type of experience with all of the people working there. We were especially grateful to the receptionist who helped us figure out that we might actually be covered for the fees. The facility itself was clean and comfortable. We would probably use it again if our current health care system was not available for what we needed.

The staff was very caring and accommodating. Everyone does their job with integrity and a sense of urgency. I was seen and worked up very quickly! Dr Tasha is calm, informative, and extremely attentive. I have a follow up appointment and am really glad this place is in my neighborhood. Thank you!

The staff here are extremely pleasant and helpful. Annette, Tiffany, Bree, Lyn, etc. are always on top of things. They explain clearly any procedure and help provide all the information for any medical or healthcare related issues.The location is very clear and organized well.In addition to urgent care works they also perform covid-19 testing with rapid and same day results.Thank you for the excellent service.

Great care and service from Ana and The provider Janet Parsons! Highly recommend. I was seen quickly, and my insurance was accepted. I will def recommend to friends and family. They are open 7 days a week and the hours are convenient. They also can serve as your primary care!!

I came in after being in a car accident. The registration staff walked me thru the necessary MVA info patiently. The medical staff were caring and knowledgeable. The exam was so comprehensive! Highly recommend this clinic!

The staff was great. Mary is very friendly and did a great job of getting all the forms and paperwork set up. Jeff was so good at doing the blood work, I didnt hardly feel the needle go in. Waited there for hours to get my urine test for an employer background check. People in the waiting room was there for even more hours to get a Covid test done for traveling purposes. I would say they need more staff or stop accepting walk-ins. Would never go here again and don’t recommend neither. (I visit this clinic using my married last name and not my maiden as my username here)

Dr Mayer is a very caring and kind doctor. His facility is very well maintained and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend this clinic for all your urgent care needs.

The assistant at the front desk came and greeted me with a very disrespectful/rude attitude. When i told her i had an appt she then told me they dont have appt times, that its only an estimated waiting time but proceeded to tell me they were short staffed so it would be a little longer than normal. She then proceeded to be very unprofessional when i tried to ask more questions, she always interrupted me and i couldnt say a word. Then she said i had to do all the registration online and nothing at the office. When i told her that the link on the website to take a pic of my driver license didnt work for me, she said again with bad attitude, that my phone is the problem. I understand you are short staffed and most likely under paid but that doesnt mean you have to act like that to customers especially someone like me who needed a 5-min drug test. That was the first and last time i will ever go there. Truly a shame.

Do NOT come to this urgent care unless you have no other options. The wait time was over 2.5 hours, staff were rude, and there seemed to be only one doc on staff who was taking forever to see patients. They also make you wait outside until your appointment, so if it’s cold or wet- bring a coat. Tampa general urgent care is right down the road, and the service there has been infinitely better. Do NOT come here.

From the sweet receptionist, Med assistant and of course the wonderful Doctor I saw I felt relaxed and in good hands. They all were so nice and yet so professional. I want to thank them for getting me in so quickly and taking care of my medical needs, I will definitely go back there if I have to and will highly recommend them to others. I have never been spoken to so rudely by healthcare workers. I went to this urgent care on Sunday to get a Covid test. The nurse put the swab in 1 nostril for barely 1 second and it came back negative which didn’t seem right to me. The next morning I called them back and asked if they would redo the test for free and I was told yes so I drove out to their location and waited in my car for 30 min as instructed then was called in to pay. I asked how the test is supposed to be administered and she said 5 seconds on each side. I told the staff I was told I would not be charged because of the exam the day before. They said nope every time you get a test you need to pay. I said the test was not done currently. The staff member said to me “Are you the expert on how to give tests, were you trained here?” I told her that was a very rude and unnecessary thing to say since she confirmed the test was done wrong. I went somewhere else to get tested right after and tested positive. I called back Tuesday because the manager was unavailable Monday to explain what happened and that it is not ok for her staff to speak to patients that way. The entire time I was talking to the manager she kept interrupting me and when I was done talking she said she had to go and hung up on me. Her tone seemed annoyed and bothered. This is such horrible behavior during such hard times.Update: the manager called me back and told me she would talk to the employee who was rude to me. What she will say? I couldn’t know.

The nurse Gabrielle or Gabriella (not sure) was amazing she made the visit so comfortable for me and walked me thru everything step by step. I couldn’t have been more pleased with her as well as the receptionist and doctor all around great staff! Quick and effective care covered all my needs!

I came here for a drug screen for my new job. I did not have an appointment. The clinic is very busy with COVID testing so I was prepared for a wait but it didn’t take too long. The waiting room was set up for social distancing and everyone wore masks. The clinic was very clean including the restroom. Annette and Anna at the front desk, and Gabi and Diane in the back, were awesome during my visit. If I need a COVID-19 test I’ll make an appointment here.

Ill start with the positive: The wait time in the lobby was relatively short and the office was quite clean.The nurse and doctor were both in a huge hurry. I was greeted by each with a rushed, What are you here for today? The doctor wasnt careful with his touch as he examined a very painful skin condition I came in to have treated. He was in the room for less than three minutes total, which left me confused when he went to leave because practically no time had passed. He told me that it would probably be okay to leave the infection alone and just take antibiotics. I was then left in the room for a while to wait for someone to prepare my prescription and show me out. There was never any follow-up in the following days to see how I was doing or ask if the antibiotics were working. Overall, the staff was somewhat rude and quite hurried, even though the office only had two other people waiting besides myself.After three days, I was still in great pain and the antibiotics had not helped at all. After how short everyone was at this facility, I opted not to come back to Doctors Express and went to a different urgent care instead. The staff there were all very friendly and listened to my issue without rushing. The doctor was very gentle when he was examining me, unlike at Doctors Express. As it turned out, I needed a procedure done that antibiotics alone could not have cleared up. The staff there immediately did the procedure and were really understanding and helpful when I was in pain. The doctor encouraged me to ask questions and sent me on my way after answering everything. They called two different times to check in during the week after my visit.Your money is best spent at an office which wont rush to push you through their process and will call to check in with you following your visit. You will not receive either of these with this company.

Went to AFC Urgent care for a physical and not only were they able to get me in without any wait, the nurse practitioner, Janet Parsons, was very personable, thorough, and caring. She took her time to let me know what she was doing and what the test results meant. I would highly recommend AFC and Janet.

I went to Tampa office, on February 23,2022. I was seen by a doctor who was confused and had me and my adult children thinking I had kidney issues. The doctor had no clue on different labs to run etc, until the medical assistant Tiffany had to explain and let him I had been sick for over a month and my symptoms called for blood work up. Thankfully I got antibotics and was able to get better.

Had to get updated on a few vaccinations. Not a fan of needles at all, but the medical assistants made it manageable with their kindness and good sense of humor. Even during the pandemic they are still managing to make things work efficiently. The wait wasn’t too long and even though they seemed busy with Covid testing they still managed. I’ll be returning here from now on.

I was at this clinic before they opened and was the first at the door. A man opened the door and said we have a big crowd coming for covid tests and will not be able to do a test earlier than 11:15. The clinic should have posted this on the door. Also, I saw no crowd there and could have gotten the test right there and then. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I do not recommend this place. No respect for your time. One star is too much. Also, reading the reviews here, this is a HORRIBLE facility. Many of the owner responses are downright rude and nasty.

Doctor Tasha and the receptionist were awesome people to deal with when I needed assistance this last week. Doctor Tasha was knowledgeable. Clinic was also a nice environment.

We came to this clinic with a non-COVID health issue on a Sunday morning. The opening staff was so helpful. Quick paperwork and easy transition in to the care room. Janet, our PA, was incredibly knowledgable and friendly answering all of our questions and offering us options for treatment. A great experience in health care! Thank you!

Excellent experience with our MEBA physicals. Great doctor and staff. Will return for future physicals and any urgent care needs.

These people don’t care about their patients and do the absolute bare minimum to ensure they are seen. They are lazy and likely underpaid so take it out on the patients. I went in to be seen because I was clearly uncomfortable and ill, and when they refused to look up my information and I took my license back, the young man behind the counter cursed at me. Unprofessional and a blessing in disguise, I am positive their doctor is even worse.

Hands down best service I have ever received from a health care professional. Brook informed me of everything that was going on a provided me with facts that allowed to me understand my diagnosis also know that a previous physician that was “taking care of me “ was giving me false information . She called me right away when I left a message and was so nice. When someone goes to the doctor they are scared and worried about what their diagnosis will be and Brook as well as the other staff (sorry didn’t catch names) were so nice and amazing when it came to me feeling better about myself and everything else. Thank you guys so much for being the best I will continue coming to this location.

This place is beyond a 5 star! I had to take a COVID test to visit Hawaii and 3 other locations lead me in the wrong direction and sold me on BS expensive tests! Annette and her ORGANIZED staff informed me on everything I needed and educated me on all the things I was going to be up against visiting the state! Annette is beyond a wonderful person and I wish every clinic/hospital in the United States had someone even close to as good as her!AFC on Gunn highway is the place I will be going to from here on out for any health questions or needs! They are CLEAN and very family oriented! This is a place you can call home!

The people working at the Urgent Care Centre were very helpful when we were stressed about not having received PCR results from another facility (from a PCR test administered 3 days prior) in time for our flight to Canada. Ellie and Return assisted us with paperwork and Ellie did our actual PCR test. She was professional but friendly and reassuring and great with the disturbance of young children - a lovely personality. One thing you need to note, however, if you’re are not from the USA (we were Canadians flying out to Toronto), you MUST get a physical / hard copy of your test results because the link in both the text and email they send you does NOT allow your to retrieve your results online because “this app is not available in your country”. We received the physical certificate in about ten minutes. The notification via email and text we did not receive until two days after we arrived in Canada!

Was treated poorly and unfairly for no reason. Asked if I could make an appointment for COVID testing as they said they had no availability for the day. Was told they weren’t taking any until Monday by one lady and then Tuesday by another. I said ok, may I make an appointment for a Tuesday? The lady behind the desk literally got up and went out to hold the door open to basically tell me to leave and said go to the hillsborough county website for drive up testing sites. Never asked me if I had any symptoms or anything. This is urgent care?! I was so embarrassed by the way I was treated and it was uncalled for! I did nothing wrong. I understand this pandemic has created challenging times however it is not right to mistreat people. Honestly, I am appalled with the way I was treated, I was embarrassed and would never go back there.

This facility has the most unprofessional and rude staff! I went in for a covid test. They are charging me $160 for it even though my insurance covers 100% of the bill. My healthcare provider called various times to ask them to resend the claim as they coded it wrong and never sent the covid claim but the staff refused. Not only did they refuse but they also hung up on me mid sentence when I called for clarification and refused to assist me.

Such a caring staff. Went above and beyond to help me out with the COVID PCR result document that was required at the airport. Not to mention, the visit was a breeze also. This clinic is my spot now for any urgent care needs.

Great alternative to the hospital-ran-and-owned urgent cares in the area. These guys are professional, caring, and knowledgeable. The location is clean and modern, and easily accessible. Weve found a great new urgent care in the neighborhood who we can trust. (Weve had a couple questionable outcomes at the others owned by large corporations or hospitals.) This is owned by a local upstanding family of Doctors.

I would HIGHLY recommend this urgent care. I brought my daughter and I in for treatment and we were evaluated by the caring and professional nursing staff and the Nurse Practioner Janet Parsons. Ms. Parsons explained all the testing and treatment thoroughly. I found the office extremely well run and spotless. I will definately recommend this urgent care and its team to all my friends and family. It was so refreshing to be able to be seen in such a well run medical facility during these difficult Covid times.

The attention is very bad, the reception staff dont want to work. I came on Wednesday for a while and the technician wasnt there, they told me to come back the next day and when I go with my son for his x-rays, the technician from the section isnt there either.

Went to this facility because my PCP was on vacation and recommended that I go to an urgent care center. Had a terrible pain on one side of my head that needed attention. After paperwork and work up by nurse I was taken to an examing room where I waited for 45 minutes. I was the only patient in the clinic. I decided to leave when I opened the door the doctor had his feet on the computer desk with his phone. I surprised him and told him I was leaving. He apologized and told me he was not aware of patient waiting. He checked me standing not even sitting and wrote two scripts for my pain. I expressed my opinion to the nurse and she apologized. Not good enough. So very unprofessional! I ended up in the E.R. the next day and was attended to very professionally and with a diagnosis. I do not recommend this facility to anyone! Aweful care!

Came in for rapid covid test. Waited 3 hours outside in the heat. They do not give anyone a number, they just tell you to go wait outside in line. About half the people get in line, and the others “wait in their car” until they think it’s their time to be seen and then go to the front of the line. There is zero oversight or direction from the staff. Multiple people were skipped multiple times.If they gave people numbers, or got an automated system that texts you when you’re next (like 90% or restaurants have now days), the process wouldn’t be so terrible. They also expect people to wait 3 hours outside in the heat and offer no water once you finally do make it inside.Clearly poor management that has made zero investment in their operations. Just taking advantage of the masses and charging top dollar for testing and make zero accommodations for the patients.

Not only did it take a minimum of an hour and forty five minutes. Finally after waiting the prolonged time a PA not a doctor came to exam me . She decided to test for strep and then The staff mis tested the wrong person for what I was getting a test for . Bottom line I walked out being diagnosed for a common cold and now 8 days later called back with worse symptoms . And they want to recharge me because I am one day over there 7 day policy . My advice find a better clinic!!

Sent by employer for multiple tests. Spoke with old, rude, grey haired hag behind the desk, who claimed my paperwork would not be honored. She did not even look at the paperwork, just claimed she had no contracts to do half of the tests even though this was scheduled and confirmed by my employer and scheduling provider. Not helpful at all. Confrontational, Unprofessional. Would not recommend if you are expecting any kind of care or to be treated like a normal human.

My wife and I have used this facility multiple times over the last few years, with excellent service and results each time. For non-severe emergencies we find the urgent care providers to be far superior to an emergency room, in both speed and service. Will be using this facility again.

After eight days of being ill, I scheduled a telehealth appointment with AFC Tampa to discuss my symptoms and figure out whether I took a Covid test too early (I have already been tested and told them in the paperwork it was negative) or if there were other possibilities. I did this because of wonderful care friends have received from other AFC locations, and the Saint Pete office could not do telehealth today. After confirming the appointment and waiting, I got a text 35 minutes before my telehealth appointment that simply read YOU WOULD NEED TO COME INTO THE OFFICE TO RULE OUT COVID, and the appointment was canceled without discussion. This experience was extremely disappointing.

Totally overwhelmed. Staff cannot answer the simplest questions. First come first serve. they have no idea of what they are doing. Obviously my paperwork got mishandled. could not evern ask staff if that had happened. Only response we are busy and doing the best we can. they did misplace my work. of course they had charged my

I visited the facility for the first time today. My primary care physician had recently retired and I needed to see a doctor immediately . The office is immaculate and spacious. Wait time was essentially zero. Everyone from the people at the front desk to the physicians assistant to the doctor herself were extremely attentive and professional. The doctors examination was thorough, she asked me several questions about my symptoms and history and answered all the questions I had. I am a self-pay patient and I dont know if this was intentional or mere coincidence, but one of my prescriptions was free and other less than $10....very much appreciated.I was charged exactly what was indicated on the signage, no unnecessary tests were performed and I was told after I paid that if my symptoms did not resolve within 7 days my follow-up visit was free.This was my first time at a walk-in type clinic and I had some concerns prior to my visit. All of those concerns were put to rest and I would return or recommend this facility to others without hesitation.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely disrespectful staff when it comes to COVID tests. My husband walks in, as online it states there is not appointments required, the front desk rep yells at my husband to get out Don’t touch anything or don’t touch the door and refused to test him. WHAT?! This is a testing facility!!!! So unprofessional and unhelpful. Online states no appt required and no referral required. My family and I will never step foot into this facility again.

I appreciate that this center does walk-in COVID testing (now rapid too for $95 - not covered by insurance), and that this is a crazy time, but considering it takes less than a minute to actually administer the test, I don’t understand why they can only do 4 tests an hour. There is literally a line around the building and I am sure they won’t get to most of these people since they close early today. We got here at 6:40 to get in line - there were maybe 7 or 8 people ahead of us. They open at 8. After 2 hours, not tested yet. So yes, about 4 tests per hour. These clinics should have this down to a science now and should be able to get people through quicker. My son was tested at CVS a couple of weeks ago and it took 5 minutes, but we had to have an appt - this place is good because they don’t require an appt, so I appreciate that, but they need a better system as more and more people want to get tested.

I came in this office twice and both times was treated with respect. The facility was clean. The staff was really friendly, the doctor was great and very informative in explaining me condition as well as treatment. Next time my family needs to see a doctor, this is the clinic.

My husband had a covid test done on 1/10/2022 and still no results. He has not been allowed back to work until he gets his results. Results are to take 2-4 days. This is not right! We have been on the quest site called here on Friday and they have all his info but still no results.

Horrible!!!! more than 4 hour wait with kids!!!!AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!We went there to get a mandated covid-test to travel to Hawaii. We drove in from Orlando as Hawaii has a specific list of labs for this test which must be done 72 hours prior to your last trip leg. My husband called they said we had to be there by 7am when they only open at 8. So I called again and I was told I we simply had to arrive by 5pm because they close at 8pm. So we drove after early school release on Wednesday. We went in at 10 to 4. The receptionist said it was too late for the test. I said that was not possible because I called ahead and they told me to come by 5pm. So she reluctantly gave us the paperwork and we paid $95 with insurance!/per test! Two ladies came after us and did the paperwork.....long story short....every body that came after us would wait 20-30 minutes and would be taken in. i went in and asked how much longer it would because our kids had been in the car for 3 hours. they told me one more person. But new people would came in.... I was fed up and asked the lady coming out to call people what was going on. Her answer: WE ARE NOT A COVID TESTING FACILITY SO EVERY PATIENT WE HAVE COMING IN WHO IS NOT TERE FOR A COVID TEST HAS PRIORITY OVER YOU! WE TAKE OUR PATIENTS [INCLUDING FIRST COMERS] FIRST!I was disgusted so I told and what about our money? Is it nit as good? And she had the nerve to answer no!if you have a choice AVOID thus place. we had to wait another hour and a half to get our results!!!!!

If anything they did: measure my blood pressure. Except it, only asked me whats wrong and subscribed one under $10 cream which is useless for my allergy. Told the address to get the cream Wallgreen but put on CVS of another street. I even do not want to name this PA as a healthcare provider because i think everyone can do the provider did: ask few questions and ask patient what do you want!

Everyone was so kind and personal. My 5 year old was sick and they were quick and efficient in getting us seen and out the door. I was so relieved! Thank you!

Professional, nice, clean I wish you had more staff/services to offer at this location. I needed to ruled out for a DVT and ther wasn’t an ultrasound or any radiology techs.

This urgent care has escorted someone sick out without even asking for symptoms. Yelled and said she needed an appointment and embarrassed her in a lobby full of people. She has been trying to schedule an appointment for days and nothing. Walks in and forced out. I was under the impression that our healthcare system for for the preservation of life. The rep working there does not deserve to work in healthcare! Completely undeserved.

Awful, just went today for a generic heart medication that they had given me for 3 months. The last script couldnt be refilled because the generic is on back order everywhere. The pharmacy had called a few times and left messages about the doctor changing the script to a brand name, but no one got back to them. I thought as time went by the medication would be available. Now that Im running low, it turns out the last script that was left cannot be refilled due to the back order that is still going on. I called and emailed through their website, but no one got back to me. In order to get the medication I need to pay the office 25 dollars to be seen for a 2 week supply of the heart medication, when 1 month of it was due to me on the original prescription. Makes no sense, from what I can tell, this place likes to play with peoples health, lives and must be hurting for money. Lesson learned is stick going to a general physician who knows you than going to a stranger who doesnt care.First issue was when I went in for a sinus infection, was given antibiotics for one week to cure it. It didnt work so I ended up paying again to be seen, so I can recieve a stronger antibiotic. It turns out that after a few days, you need to pay again.Second and last time, I went in Wednesday for my lower back, that I hurt on Tuesday, I explained how much pain I was in and how it was giving me a burning sensation in my stomach while aggravating my heart condition. The doctor was concerned and listened to me as I explained my health conditions. She prescribed me the medicine I requested. The doctor was hoping that the muscle relaxer she prescibed would help with the pain and told me if I needed anything, not to hesitate to call so they can get anything else I might need. After leaving, it turned out that the muscle relaxer prescribed would irritate my heart so the pharmacy left them a messege in it. I emailed them on Thursday morning at 7:00am and recieved a phone call after they opened, they explained that I needed to come back in since my health situation was complicated so the doctor could speak with me and because I wanted either a pain killer or a different brand of muscle relaxer to try. Dealt with the pain and went in before 12 noon and ended up filling out paperwork again, so I had to make sure I was not charged again since it seemed that they were ready to charge me again. They dont hesitate to charge you again from what I can tell. She spoke with the doctor and said since it was only for pain killers or muscle relaxers, I dont have to pay again. I was checked again for bodyweight, temperature, and heart rate, which was alittle high from dealing with the back pain I guess. I was led into a waiting room and left there to wait in pain. Couldnt sit since my back hurted, examining table was to low and would make it difficult to stand. I paced back and forth slowly and would lean on the counter to alleviate pain. After 12 minutes or so, no one came. I was already sweating from holding the pain back. I assume since I was not a paying customer I was not being seen, so I left. People that came after me I assume were being seen since they were no longer in the waiting room and are paying customers. Id would rather be in my recliner dealing with no pain, than pacing back and forth making sure my heart condition does not act up and cause me to faint in a room with no cameras or from what I can tell no nurse calling button of any sort to call for help. I dont see how this is better than the emergency room. The way they dont hesitate to charge would cost the same if I go to the emergency room. Im glad there is more than one walk in clinic. In my opinion this is more expensive in the long run.

Would not recommend even if it was the last urgent care around. Got blood drawn for testing dec 20th mind you I had to get stuck twice because they missed my vein that’s very clearly visible and then had to try the next arm after that painful stick. I never received a call back with the results. Even though they said once they got them back they would call me...well I’m still waiting. Luckily I have the quest app on my phone and got the alert when they were ready so I could take them to a different clinic that actually cares.Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!!

Horrible Doctor and Bad experience. Went to get my sutures removed. After 1 hour waiting and collecting money, the doctor says he is not comfortable removing the sutures. These idiots do not have basic manners and hospitality. Later I went to Palm harbor urgent care and the doctor there removed the sutures in 5 minutes. The doctor here at AFC does not have manners nor the skills. Please do your research and better stay away from these unfit-to-be-in-business practice.

Scary how unsanitary this clinic is, especially during COVID times. I went to get an antibody test and was shocked to see the nurses doing COVID19 testing in improper PPE (looked like level 1 masks, no gowns) and also checking patients in, handling their paperwork/cards then going back to treat patients. I waited for over 1/2 hour and did not see anyone wiping down the waiting room or the pens at check-in test. Patients are not required to wear masks. On top of that, they missed my vein and blood squirted all over the table without a barrier. I watched in horror as they wiped it down with alcohol wipes. If you don’t want to catch the virus or any other diseases, stay away from this place. I actually feel bad for the nurses there. Understaffed and not provided proper PPE to handle symptomatic COVID patients (I was told they only do the test on symptomatic patients).

Went to get blood work done the other day. Even with Covid testing going on, they are very efficient and effective. Didn’t have to wait long and the staff was very helpful. I asked about their rapid covid test as well and although the wait is a little longer for those, they have the best price around and it’s still efficient.

Breaden was super nice at the front desk. hes so funny and was able to make me laugh even though i wasnt feeling. the staff is super friendly and Tasha the physician assistant really listened to my complaints.

Per AFC Google about page they accept most major insurances, they specifically list mine as one they accept. I called to confirm they accept my plan and they did.With my insurance and most insurance companies covid testing is covered at 100% Per AFC their contract with insurance companies does not cover covid testing so theyre charging $95 if you have insurance and $135 to those without insurance.Durning a pandemic AFC decided not to negotiate with insurance companies so they can charge people $65-$105 more than what they pay for rapid covid-19 testing and theyre choosing to charge people without insurance more money. 💰Ive had two rapid covid-19 test at TGH urgent care, which is just five minutes up the road from AFC, and havent had to come out of pocket.Owner just responded that the tests that take 2-5 days are free. Both of my rapid tests were covered elsewhere.Good to know theyre only taking advantage of people, especially the uninsured, who need their results sooner.Thank you for your response.

I came from Orlando to this Tampa AFC Urgent Care because they were the only ones that offered a rapid PCR/NAAT test on a Sunday (July 4th!). We got our results back and the staff was very nice and hospitable.

Wed. Sept. 14 9:20 amFeeling miserable, I go to this urgent care because its the closest. I cover my mouth and nose with a towel because I have no masks. I ask for a mask as soon as I get there. The girl send me outside to register. I go outside but the registration kicks me off so I go back inside and she sends me back out and tells me to just start over. I cried in my car before heading to Doctors Urgent Care off of Gunn where they treated my with actual CARE!

The nurses here are nice and friendly but unfortunately that is not a reason to go to a place like this. I went here to seek medical care because I just moved here and am uninsured. The doctor would not even see me and just cowered behind his nurses and had them relay messages to me. Let me reiterate the nurses were kind. The doctor a coward who knowingly referred me to a hospital that charged me 300$ for a visit. Pick any urgent care besides this one. This male doctor here deserves no business. Absolute quack.

I stay 2 minutes away, and called today to ask if they were doing covid testing and if so how much? I was told $159.00, and so I ask is that with insurance. After I told them what insurance I carry she told me they don’t accept my insurance. I am not sure who I was speaking to because I can only assume your staff have enough training to answer basic questions. I will check elsewhere, or just won’t get tested.

I walked in and they saw me almost immediately. I received prescriptions for the flu. I felt better within a few days. Thank again to the staff there. They were very compassionate and helpful!

Been here multiple times for drug tests, came in for a regular checkup and paid a copay same day in May of 2022, now I have debt collectors calling me on a payment that was never sent to my current address even though theyve entered it 4x since then. Thanks AFC for your incompetence.

When your medical staff receives a phone call to the office and likes to talk badly about that patients medical results after the phone call ends AND the WHOLE waiting room can hear about it? That is messed up. What if that was you? Do YOU want someone in the medical field to talk badly about how you were diagnosed or whatever may be wrong with your body? Would you like everyone else in the waiting room to know about your problems? The guy was lucky he didnt say the patients name after the phone call. REMEMBER THE WORD CONFIDENTIALITY? Is this really the kind of staff you hire? That was no where near professionalism. This was my first and last time visiting this place. Please hire employees that wont bad mouth my or anyone elses medical condition(s).

Efficient and personable service. $95 for rapid covid test feels pricey but when you need results fast it’s an invaluable service. Definitely would come back if I need test results fast.

The plus is that I was seen within a hr. which gives them the 2 star rating. A sick patient wants to be seen quickly. Unfortunately they have thin walls which isnt good for HIPPA and the protection of personal info (mine or anyone elses). I heard the patient next door being diagnosed with the same illness as me quickly after seeing the Nurse Practitioner. Also, my meds were sent to the wrong pharmacy even though I wrote my pharmacy info down for them.

They should make some changes on their phone information line. Both the website and when you call their number, it says they do covid testing daily from 8am to 6pm walk in no appointment needed. I went in at 2pm and was told they were done for the day and I would have to come back tomorrow at noon.

My mom has been visiting from Michigan and I have brought her here twice. She hands down loves the staff and she received the utmost of care here. They are very warm, profession and take their time to answer questions. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

I came to get a PCR Covid test during my work lunch. They aren’t accepting appointments so it’s only walk in. There is literally NO ONE in the waiting before me & it’s been almost an hour & I haven’t been even tested yet. The staff is also extremely rude. Wouldn’t suggest coming here because I can promise they don’t care about your time.

This is the worst healthcare facility I’ve ever been to.I went with my toddler who had high grade fever and the first thing there was nobody in the front desk.5 minutes after saying hi,hellos, a big guy came slowly asking what do I need!He asked about my daughter’s insurance and he wasn’t sure if they accept it. He went inside for another 10 minuets then came back giving me some papers to fillI started to fill it using the window shelf to lean on to do it faster but that made him angry and he wanted me to sit down. I was trying to make it fast so they can start taking care of my daughter but he didn’t care!He went inside for another 15 minuets and I was done with paperwork a while ago and kept saying hello until he came saying we’re still Checking if we accept her insurance!!At this moment I was about to start crying as my daughter’s face became red and they are so cold !!I left and will never go back to this place again

2 months ago, I went to this place. With a costochondritis. The Doctor was very nice, and prescribed exactly what I needed. No complaints. Im considering to go back to this location since its close by, I had a good experience.

I am very, very upset with this urgent care. I fear for other people to go to this medical office because they do not giveCorrect medical advice and spend 2 minutes with you and do not even pay attention to what your allergic to. I wentIn to the urgent care on March 30th because of some sort of bite near my elbow that had turned red and purple.I was given bactrum as an antibiotic and took every pill for what they called cellulitus.(from a bite) I took every singlePill and on April 10th I went back to this urgent care and had a different doctor and I was with my fiancé. This doctorSaid the cellulitis had found it’s own way to drain because at this time it had puss coming out of my arm. He said heDid not need to cut it open and gave me a prescription that COULD have the same affects that amoxicillian (which IAm allergic too) had on me. I did not know this until I went to Walgreens. There the pharmacist told me I could haveA reaction. I got the prescription and got hives the first 2 days which was no big deal.But on Monday the 13th my throatStarted swelling up and it hurt to swallow. I then did what the pharmacist told me to do and called the urgent care.The original doctor was there when I called (the one I saw on 03/30) and sent a new script to Walgreens and told meI should go to the ER. I had a problem with this because why would the second doctor not tell me this 04/10 and wasteMy money and put my health in jeopardy. I called back very upset and got an officer manager on the phone and told herI should have my co-payment back. She then proceeds to tell me when I came in the second time on 04/10 (when my fiancéWas with me) that I was told to immediately go to the ER. I needed to get a school physical for my daughter and Doctors Express was there for me right when I needed them! No appointment was necessary and we were in and out in record time. I should not have waited until the last minute to get this done but I did and thanks to Doctors Express I was able to get that unneeded stress off my shoulders and actually get the physical done before school started.The cost for the physical was right in line with all the other local places but it was the staff and doctor that will have me coming back time and time again. Thank you Doctors Express, I cant thank you enough for helping me get my daughter back to school on time.

Waited over an hour while later patience were taken first and then after being told allergy pills didnt do anything he said hed be right back and left us waiting just to tell us to leave without any type of input other than if it gets worse go to the er no type of suggestions or relief, and when I complained nothing was clarified- finally gave a perscription but ignored me when i asked exactly what its for and details on it- turns out its allergy meds which I explained twice didnt improve symptoms already. Waste of time and energy... Reception is very nice and helpful but the dr needs a new job since listening and caring for people doesnt seem to be his specialty

We was told the doctor that should give us the medical result went to vacation!! And when they call me to come get the result the two ladies at the front desk are treating me like I’m there to steal someone else information..

On 04/19/2021 I went to the Gunn Hwy. location with an emergency situation and was treated with reckless disregard. The doctor would only talk to me through a staff member in the lobby so, I was forced to discuss my private medical situation in front of other people. I believe my rights under HIPPA were violated.

The entire staff was very kind and compassionate. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because I was there for over two hours. I don’t think it was any of the staffs fault, they were all busily working.

I knew I needed a doctor but I didnt want to wait to make an appointment at my regular doctor so I decided to give Doctors Express a try. Am I Glad I did. This place is Very fast, Very affordable & Very convenient. The Doctor and Staff were all SUPER, I would definately take my family here. I highly recommend Doctors Express!

Nothing like coming in for a simple drug test just to wait 3hrs jbc people dont know how to work a system to change a password.Giving excuses that they have to wait for the manager to get off the conference call, like customer in the lobby arent priority or that a work stops bc you cant change one password is just plain sad.

My family was there Saturday for Covid 19 test and it was another family for international travel Covid 19 test The staff mis the paper work to the wrong person for what I was getting a test for . The ARPN Mary is the most disrespectful person when we explain it they make a mistake and we want to get retest again she just got upset and treated us to call the police please do not go to this place they don’t know what they are doing.

If I could give a zero I would. My husband went in for care before Thanksgiving and has been calling for his results, it is now December 10th and they still have not called us back after being told someone would contact us. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC AT ALL.

Since i walked in the older lady at the front desk was very ugly towards me, she started laughing when I told her the reason I was there, She made me feel so uncomfortable that I and up walking out.

I was bragging to both my healthcare professional friends about how awesome your staff is and how quickly I was seen. It was a very GREAT experience for me.

I went to AFC Urgent Care to get tested for the COVID Antibody. The facility is very clean and well organized. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating.

There was no other clients when I arrived but I still had to wait close to an hour to see a nurse. Another 20 minutes to see the doctor. Good thing this place is not presented as a “minute clinic”.

I was given an amount to pay at the time of my visit and told that my visit was paid in full. A month later I was sent an invoice for another $25.00. When I called to complain the Office Manager said the front desk did not have authorization to do this. They should stand behind the actions of their staff. I will not use this clinic again.

Simple registration online. Immediate retrieval for appointment to the Triage room and great service from all medical staff. Highly recommend.

Beware. I went there in terrible pain with a sore throat and an ear infection. The doctor told me to gargle some salt water and take some Tylenol. She misdiagnosed my illness. I couldnt eat and spent the night in pain. I had to go to another urgent care center the next day to get treated. That doctor gave me a steroid and an antibiotic.

Beware!!! My husband was charged for a covid test after exposure. Insurance is supposed to cover at 100%. They charged him $95. They are taking advantage of the pandemic. Never will we go here again.

Long wait time is always ridiculous here. Came here for a school physical. I was told wait time 30-45 minutes and now it’s been 2+ hours wait time and still have not been seen.Expect to waist your entire day here when you come in.

So covid testing is appointment only. Mine was at 10.30am. Its now 1200 noon and Im still in the waiting room. So appointment or not. They will make you wait in line behind everyone that was there before you who didnt have a appointment. Smh

Everyone was very kind and so nice to my 18 month old. The doctor was extra nice and really listened to any concerns we had. I would recommend to anyone.

Folks this place is a Workers Comp Nightmare. First you will not be seen by A Dr second they are being fed by workers comp insurance companies so be prepared if you have a real injury that they will side wide with their handlers ..... if you have a cold great place to go or the flu

We took our daughter there, paid the co-payment with cash. Now they are billing us for the co-payment. Tri-care does not pay co-payments. We are very unhappy with the accounting service and will not return there for this issue. Shame on you Doctors Express.

0 stars. Staff unprofessional and used profanity when speaking to patients. When asked for management they barked she’s not here. Had an all out screaming match when asked about prescription. This practice is sketchy. Please go to another clinic.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Went there twice in one week for urgent care and was charged and misdiagnosed both times. Finally went to the hospital where real doctors were able to diagnose my kidney stones. Dont go here!!!!!

The staff is unbelievably slow in processing paperwork. It took lover 3 hours just to get a rapid COVID test for travel.
