I had major surgery Mon Dec 11th 2023With Dr Jillian ODonnell to remove a 17.5 centimeter ovarian Mass Rising from the left ovary as well as partial hysterectomy..From the moment you meet this Dr, you are comfortable and assured that you are in the best hands possible , that she goes the extra mile that she truly cares about her patients..The best words in the world she said to me post op .Im a cancer Dr, and You dont have cancer! When she poked her head in before surgery and said Are you ready to get this over with? Again, I felt that assurance when I was nervous and apprehensive. ..Post op when she decribed the size of the mass as 3 baseball sizes, It was shocking ,and there had already been a 2 month delay from other professionals , and the mass had time to grow from 7..5 to 17.5.Grateful Dr OOdonnell took me on as a patient and knew it was urgent. She encountered a much larger mass and had to do a larger 3 inch incision. It wasnt outpatient I stayed overnight with the instructions to tolerate food .Five incisions in all . 3 hour surgery .The CO2 gas they use is very painful and takes time to leave your body settled in my shoulders and chest.Took 3 weeks to leave . Intubation from the tube causes a gag reflex..So you cough hurting your incisions but they go through all of that , with you before surgery including get ready to be nauseated from the anesthesia which took more than a month .Forcing myself to eat I toughed it out with Tylenol since the sulfa drugs made me sick .But she came out and informed my friend about everything and AZ oncology had allowed my relatives to be in on the consult with another Dr prior to this.YesRecovery has been rough because the laparotomy and Robot detected that huge mass and finally removed it Im at my 6 week mark and doing great slowly getting back to some activities .I did go to TMC and got on antibiotics because had some high fevers elevated white blood count and bleeding and fluid , but that cleared up. I cannot tell you how much Im extremely glad it was benign..For all I had to go through...No cancer! Best words to hear! The other surgeon took the time to call me and give further assurance before surgery she wasnt seeing cancer:)I would highly recommend Dr ODonnell And Az oncology to any one from the staff to the promptness of the office and Surgeons 5 stars are not enough!❤️😀

Her office told my mother the day her appointment that they would not take her insurance. She was devastated and they showed no remorse. Unacceptable.
