Almost a year and a half ago I meet the most amazing woman who I now proudly call my wife. Soon after we began dating she shared her story of losing her mother to cancer at 14 to getting pregnant and having an abortion by the age of 17. This, over the next several years, lead her down a dark path of self-destruction; until that day the Lord through His mercy and grace saved her soul. However, the years of abuse did not come with an easy fix, until she received redemption and ultimate freedom through abortion counseling at ARA. My wife is a testimony that through this wonderful ministry post-abortive women can find complete healing and the pain and guilt that follow are not life sentences.

Reaching out to ARA was the best thing I have ever done for my life, my children and marriage. I was lost in grief and shame and did not know how to get myself out after my decision to have an abortion. This program and the leadership help show me the way through studying Gods Word and being with others let me know I was not alone. If you have made the decision to have an abortion I highly recommend this bible study and group to you!!!

Abortion Recovery Alabma changed my life! I had my abortion when I was 21 years old. For 28 long years I wrestled, struggled, battled (you name it I was feeling it)just to get through my day. Then my Heavenly Father took me on a life saving, life changing journey where I met the most loving, compassionate, down to earth, womem of God.They Loved me through all the shame and guilt and unworthiness that I carried with everyday. These woman did not judge me they loved on me. They showed me how much God Loved me and that God wanted to heal the hole in my heart. They were so right! And now God is using me to help my sisters that have made the same decision that I did. Please if you know of anyone that as had an abortion, please tell them about Abortion Recovery Alabma. It will change their life. I promise!

I am so very thankful for Abortion Recovery. I had my abortion with a pill from our family doctor in 1964 or 1965 (Ive mostly blocked out high school). I may not have had the same experience some have had, but still I knew what was happening to me, and it was an traumatic weeks process. I was only 15 or 16, yet every time Id see a baby after that I would feel like I was grieving a loss. I was always depressed, and after high school, lived a life of drugs, as many and whatever I could find, even shooting speed and heroin. (Can anyone say death wish?) Excess became my mantra. I was miraculously saved in 1970, and began healing, but that was one sadness that stayed. Until Cindy and the team! We cried and laughed and cried together in our small group, and found ourselves recovering. Girls, make no mistake, deciding to have an abortion may seem like a simple solution for a temporary problem, but the after-effects are real, grief, sorrow, regret, unexplained need to hide or to act out, more repercussions than anyone ever said thered be. If youve had an abortion, even if its been more than 50 years ago, do yourself a favor, call and get in a group. One of the best decisions youll ever make!

I had an abortion at the age of 18. I was a freshman in college an thought that It could never happen to me. Well it did and I thought that if I fixed it that it would just go away WRONG!! I carried the guilt and shame for 20 yrs until I went through this study and in 2006 my chains were broken forever and now I am truly whole again thanks to the women at ARA :-)
