This is a wonderful clinic! You may not see your doctor each time you have an appointment, but thats just standard with other fertility clinics plus their nurse practitioners are awesome! Going through a loss and Megan the nurse practitioner with Yvonne has been so kind with me. Megan gave me a hug today and that meant so much to me. I dont have my baby yet, but Im very hopeful that it will happen with their help. My doctor is Dr. McLean and she has been kind and understanding.

This was a learning experience if you go to a clinic that is money motivated. I was a patient and couldnt believe that I never meet my doctor only nurse practitioners. How unprofessional that my first visit was my doctor nurse practitioner and after that a different person each time. I asked a nurse if they can make letrozole a stronger dosage since my embryo was only one. I was told no so I ask why are we doing the same thing if Im not getting any results. I changed fertility doctors and that was the best decision ever made because that doctor I saw every time I went to the doctor and will change my medication if Im not getting pregnant. Dont waste your money or time with this clinic.

I will say upfront, I liked everyone I worked with here and found them caring and compassionate. However, you are not going to get the results you want at this clinic. Friends told me to go elsewhere and I didnt listen, because I didnt want to start over, and because I dont have fertility issues (I get pregnant easily, and am only doing IVF for genetic testing purposes). I figured it would be fine to go here under my circumstances. I was very wrong. It was a devastating experience, and I have nothing to show at the end of it (there wasn’t even a single embryo to send off for testing—about the worst outcome I’ve ever heard of, and again I’m not even infertile). Dont take my word for it--look at the other reviews on here, look at the SART data (which shows success rates for different IVF clinics), and ask people in town. You will not come across many success stories. Also, this is the most expensive clinic I saw when researching--most others offered package pricing or a second try if the IVF doesnt work. This was the only one I found that didnt. I do not leave this review to be unkind. As I said, I liked the people I worked with; but my heart is with people who have had a difficult pregnancy journey, because I have too, and I am leaving this honest review because I feel like the only good that can come out of my experience is to prevent others from having the same one. Please look at the data before going to this clinic and spending $30,000.

Doctors do not perform procedures here. They committed insurance fraud and then after they were caught they turned a very small bill into collections instead of contacting us. They billed 4 cycles to the insurance and after we quit using them after a very painful experience for my wife during a procedure performed by only a nurse they decided to bill us instead. No follow up calls from doctors. Very bad experience and most people we have talked to have had unsuccessful procedures at this place. I would do my homework on the difference of a fertility specialist and a reproductive endocrinologist. This place does not have real reproductive endocrinologist. My advice would be go to UAB.

We had an amazing experience here! We had Dr. Mann and she was great. Very thorough and would take the time to answer all my questions and explain in a way I could actually understand. Faith was my main IVF coordinator and she was so sweet and empathetic so special shout out to her as well. Everyone we encountered in our care was great.

Dr. Malizia and her team are AMAZING! After being told having a baby might not be an option I was sent to AFS. From day 1 Dr. Malizia was hopeful and confident in my situation. A successful surgery and frequent monitoring trips to AFS allowed me to get pregnant. Now Im 24 weeks pregnant and doing well!The ENTIRE AFS team is amazing from the front office to the lab to the nurse practitioners and doctors. They go above and beyond to make you feel at ease in a season that may not be easy. Shout out to EK for ALWAYS having the best bedside manners and kindness.The only bad experience I had was when they told me I graduated and wasnt going to be able to continue coming because I was 10 weeks pregnant. I wish I could have stayed a patient forever!Side note: the lobby is basically a greenhouse and the atmosphere is quite literally a breath of fresh air.

Terrible doctors who push their ethics on you. I went here looking for fertility treatment with my Fiance. I was born with a birth defect. Was belittled because I didnt want a DNA test done on me and was talked to like a special Ed person (mind you I am an engineer by trade and take offense) and didnt want to go into a debate.Bad place, stay away. Unless youre perfectly healthy and have no serious issues or any issue that can polute the human genome , then theyll probably help you.They should shut this place down. Worst most unfriendly people.

Dr. Allemand and his team were wonderful. He did a great job at telling us the current plan and the next step options so we always felt like we knew what to expect. The office and bloodwork department were also kind and prompt. We’re so thankful for Dr. Allemand and his nurses!

I started seeing Dr. Allemand back in February as a referral from my OBGYN to check some things out before I got married in April. After some procedures and a surgery, more was found out. I think everyone is very nice, even if I’m a wreck with my nerves and medications. I haven’t felt pressured from the team to continue treatment, they understand people need to take breaks emotionally or financially. I plan on coming back in January after taking a few months break. All my many questions are answered, and they are great about responding on the portal. Dr. Allemand is very thorough and has a wonderful team! See y’all in a couple months!

Dr. McLean and her team are so kind and very thorough. They have made my experience there less stressful. The office waiting time was quick! They had me in and out and it didnt feel rushed. They took their time to get to know me and my partner! We are proud to be a part of their team!

Dr McLEAN was nice and knowledgeable.. but if your end goal is a successful pregnancy and you are over 35, I dont think AFS is the best place. If you check their stats at the SART database, their stats are not great, success rate is not great for ladies over 35 like me. I did 4 IUI with AFS, they all failed and I was on the verge of starting IVF with them. Im glad I checked their stats and switch to a bigger and better clinic with a great lab in Atlanta and I am finally pregnant. Like other reviews mentioned, they are not keen on working with older women. If I stayed, I honestly dont think I could beat the odds and succeed. Good luck!

Absolutely love this clinic, the drs, nurses and staff! Dr. Bouknight and her team were amazing, patient, kind and never had us feeling like we had unanswered questions and always had a plan in place moving forward. Would highly recommend Alabama Fertility to anyone on the journey to start growing their family.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Malizia and her team. Her nurse Hailey is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Going through infertility is one of the hardest things to go through. I have certainly laughed and cried in their office and on the phone with them several times. It can feel a little like herding cattle at the front desk, because this is a very busy office. But once in the back, I always felt important. Like I was getting the care I needed and that I was listened to. Dr. Malizia is very easy to talk to and I really feel like she cares a lot about her patients and their outcomes. Ive never had any issues with communication. I did most of my messages with them through the portal and I always got a response. I would certainly recommend this place to my friends/family.

If I could give them a higher rating than 5 stars I would! Dr. Mann and her team are extraordinary go above and beyond to help you. Her Huntsville clinic was a joy to go see Joan, Mary, and Nikki was so pleasant. Dr. Mann is a very straightforward person and tells you how she feels about options for you and your safety (I prefer someone being straight to the point though... no sugar coating) ivf is no easy journey, but this team and doctor make it 1000 times better for you. I will miss the Huntsville clinic as they always made me smile walking in, I will be sure to let my baby know how much love, support, and hard work came from these ladies to produce such a wonderful bundle of joy 💗

Amazing doctors, nurses, and staff. I cannot say enough good thing about the people at this place. Dr. Bouknight is amazing and really genuinely cared about us and our journey. The facility is absolutely beautiful. We ended up pregnant after two rounds of IVF and couldn’t be more grateful. There are some issues with how the clinic is run (wait times, call backs, etc.) however 99% of the time we would have a phone call retuned you us the same day or the next day at the very least. Would absolutely recommend this clinic to anyone with fertility issues.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE WHAT SO EVER all because of ONE of their doctors! Dr.Mann showed absolutely NO CARE in helping me. She did not even try and it was VERY obvious she does not care about you or your concerns! Oh and if you ask her too many questions or the same questions because your not understanding she gets irritated with you and very smart ! She sat in my face and said “she will not be a good fit for me because of the relationship we had today” all because I was crying and upset! Who wouldn’t be upset when your sitting with a Dr. Who did 10+ years of a schooling telling you to your FACE she’s not going to help you because it’s no point! And even then I was still respectful to her..Then she said she only specializes in miscarriages in the first trimester which I do believe is a LIE because why would my doctor suggest them to me if that’s the case. She just didn’t want me to be her patient because she just didn’t want to deal with me! If you cant accept that your going to meet people of all ages with different attitudes then you shouldn’t be a doctor! She was the WORST ! I’ll say it over and over again if I have to! If you do go to this place do NOT choose her ! You will leave disappointed!! Worst experience I EVER had with a doctor!!!

I absolutely love this fertility clinic! 😍. I have 1 failed ivf cycle and a failed frozen all outta pocket! I got a job at Amazon and they cover ur ivf cycle if u have their insurance. So we did another and it worked! We got our beautiful girl! Now going back for a frozen transfer and I would never dream of going any where else. Dr Bouknight is Amazing. But the whole clinic is amazing! Praying our transfer works! This is a wonderful clinic! ❤️

Dr.Beth was amazing in every way that I needed as a patient . Her passion for helping me get the results and care I needed was so heart warming to . As a nurse I was so impressed with her bedside manner . She removed 9 fibroids from my uterine wall . My f/u visits she provided my wound care . I would recommend her to anyone ❤️❤️

Very impersonal. Haven’t seen my actual doctor in months. Every appointment you are just shuffled through and only able to see the nurse practitioner (if even that). They don’t have a phone number that is answered by an actual human being. You can only leave a voicemail and hope you are available when they call you back. Nurses and staff are often standing around chatting and looking at their phones. Unprofessional and impossible to feel like you as a patient are actually noticed or that your case is cared about.

I have been a patient at AFS since January 2022. I have to say that they have really helped me, Dr Allemand is kind and really an awesome doctor. His nurse is also pretty stellar. They diagnosed me with endometriosis and did the surgery to remove it. However since starting the fertility journey post endo surgery I haven’t seen or talked to Dr Allemand or the nurse practitioner. I have been seeing other staff that can’t answer any of my questions when I am there and then I just have to leave messages for them to call me back. The phone only goes to voicemail so it’s infuriating at times if you really need to speak to someone. Also it was pretty clear the last couple times I went that they did not know my case as they went back and forth on what I was doing, etc. At this point I feel frustrated and conflicted. I love Dr Allemand for single handedly giving me my life back with the endo surgery but the fertility side of this has been a total fail.

I have been using Alabama fertility specialist. Birmingham and Montgomery. And I LOVE Dr McLean and her team. They have been BEYOND wonderful and amazing to me. Everytime I leave an appt I want to cry !! I havent became pregnant yet , but they are going to make it happen. ❤️

Youll never EVER/EVER get them on the phone, youll leave a message for the nurse, they wont call you back. Doctor/Nurse failed to notice a pretty significant issue with my wife with a ultra sound twice a week for a year among several other things that I will not go into on via a google review. I know they have been great with other people and provided many many miracles for others. But, as for my wife and I we did not have good experience over the last 2 years.Dr. Cecil Long and his nurse at Brookwood spotted the issue with my wife the very FIRST appointment/ultrasound and scheduled a corrective surgery right away. Do yourself a favor and go to Brookwood. Much better feeling of comfort and positivity overall at Brookwood.Alabama Fertility Specialists 1 star, and I do not recommend.

I’ve been a patient here for over a year now the communication isn’t good at all. For a whole month I’ve waited for them to schedule a appointment just for blood work. They lost my fax, then they said they didn’t get my paperwork so I hand delivered it. An to top it all off after all of that they kept throwing me back and worth between the nurse and the front desk on who should schedule the appointment. I still don’t have a appointment to this day I just said forget it. Now I know they don’t care about my fertility journey so I’ll be changing doctors really soon. My doctor Mclean is awesome she listened to my concerns and answered all questions. If you can please go to another fertility specialist.

Amazing staff! The cleanest and cutest office also! Dr. Malizia has been absolutely wonderful with our care. She has helped guide us on making the best possible decisions on our journey. She is extremely knowledgeable and caring. I am so blessed to have her as our fertility doctor. Thank you for all that you do AFS!

Dr. Malizia is amazing. I ask a lot of questions, even came in with a notebook, and she sat down and answered every single one of them. She gave me all of my options and let me pick the best one for my lifestyle and budget. She laid out every step that we would take and never once made me feel rushed. Every time we have called, we have gotten a call back same day. I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Malizia and the staff here. They are phenomenal. Everyone from the receptionist to the lab techs always offer you a smile and kind words. Thank you! Because this process is arduous enough, kindness goes a long way.

I hope the medical services provided are opposite of the way the office is run. Phone is on a loop and messages are not returned. Owners are parking in the neighborhood street near the facility and are creating a safety issue for children in the neighborhood. Although this has been communicated to a physician owner and she stated she “hoped” a solution would be “available” by the end of the month (2 weeks ago), nothing has changed. AND neighbors impacted still have not been communicated with. I can’t imagine trusting my very intricate fertility issues with a practice that behaves like this.

Dr. Beth Malizia and Nurse Karen Hammond are an absolute pleasure to work with as well as their support staff. I cannot attest for the other doctor in this office, but our experience with these two ladies has been amazing and we will use them for every pregnancy attempt going forward.

This place will take all of your money and throw you out like yesterdays trash. You are just a number to them. They’ll break your heart over and over again and not feel an ounce of remorse or responsibility. They’ll tell you to look for donor eggs but not approve you to get them in time. They’ll tell you your Fallopian tubes are blocked and must be removed when they aren’t. They’ll snip Fallopian tubes making you 100% dependent on them, but leave them in so they can spread endometriosis through your pelvic cavity. They’ll also leave endometriosis cysts in your ovaries that grow to the size of softballs and destroy your ovaries. They will destroy any hope you ever had of becoming pregnant. Please go somewhere else, do it for yourself and for all the women suffering from infertility theyve screwed over and discarded like yesterdays trash. In my opinion, they have staff that enjoy watching women suffer from infertility and having power over them.

Absolutely the worst place to come to. First off the only black lady at the front is one of the rudest people you’ll deal with. And at a place like that of all the places? I guess she doesn’t care people are already down having to come back month after month of getting negative results. Next I don’t believe they use proper dosing to keep you coming back. I’ve heard numerous people feel the same.

I am so thankful that I was referred to AFS four years ago. I started under the care of Dr. Steinkampf and transitioned to care under Dr. McLean, who has cared for me the last several years. I cannot adequately express my gratitude for Dr. McLean. She helped me through my battle with Adenomyosis, Endometriosis, and fibroids which lead to six surgeries, including a hysterectomy at the age of 29 and childless.She helped me come up with a great plan to give me a shot at still having my own biological child. I had my egg retrieval two days ago. Her tireless work has given me my life back and has given me hope for having a biological child one day. Dr. McLean goes above and beyond, she is compassionate and truly cares for her patients.

Even if you think you are scheduled you are probably not scheduled. Showed up at 7 am to find that I wasnt in the system even though Ive done a SA with them twice now. Since they have moved locations, their SA collection area has degraded to the point of a drug test. You are put in a restroom and hand deliver your filled cup directly to the nurse. The whole process is infuriating and humiliating from start to finish.

Waited an hour and a half and never saw a doctor. They did not call my doctor to get my records and I had to fill out tons of paperwork on information that I had gone over on the phone. They also use paper records, which is concerning and too old school for “state of the art” fertility clinic.

The best group ever! Very patient, kind and understanding. I can be a tough cookie, and not for one moment did I not feel that their recommendations were specific and well thought through for me and my case. Wonderful experience!

Not good diagnosticians. They failed to check my fallopian tubes, which even obgyns know to do. Six months and a few thousand dollars later, still not pregnant. We stopped short of in vitro for ethical reasons, but they would happily have done this multi thousand dollar process. I went to a Catholic doctor in TN, who found and cleared my completely blocked tubes😒. I was pregnant in two months, naturally. Very nice people at AFS, of course, and if youre fine with spending a small fortune to bypass your problem rather than diagnose it, its a great place! If you want to find and resolve the underlying cause of infertility, look elsewhere. I went to Dr Gray at the Womans Clinic in Jackson, TN.

They are the most kind and patient doctors and nurses I have ever been around. They helped me and my husband conceive our precious little baby. I wish I could have stayed with them for my entire pregnancy. They are the best!

I wish I could give a better rating but until a great experience I had yesterday with Kaelyn, I have had horrible experiences with those that have been answering the phone. I do want to point out that Kaelyn was wonderful and helped me with exactly what I needed and she even stayed on the phone with me to make sure what I needed to get done was accomplished.

Absolutely love all of the staff here. Dr. McLean is one of the best doctors I have ever dealt with. She explains everything so throughly she has great bedside manner.

This team is excellent. Infertility is a journey and Dr. Malizia is thorough in explaining all the options based on your situation. Highly recommend this practice. Stellar group.

Made appointment for 8am when they opened. We sat for an hour waiting for the Dr. We could hear him flirting with someone down the hall for the entire hour. There was no reason for them to take that long there was no one else except for one other patient who had the same appointment time as us....for one Dr. We took our co pay back and left and immediately made an appointment with their competitor. Complete waste of time and they do not care.

Dr Bouknight is amazing I felt like she actually cared about us and our journey to parenthood the staff is also exceptional so sweet and always got a call back usually the same day I can’t say enough good things about this clinic I’m writing this 28 weeks pregnant thanks to them after 5 years of trying and 5 miscarriages.

I highly recommend Alabama Fertility. The doctors are personable, knowledgeable and professional. Every single staff member is caring and patient. I cant say enough nice things about this practice!

Dr. McLean and Dr B. are the best. After going to every fertility clinic in the area across 5 years they were able to facilitate our success snd I will be forever grateful.

I used Dr. Stein and he was wonderful and the staff is beyond great. They truly care and will walk you thru every step of the way. I recommend them to everyone i know.

First visit today. Appointment set for 9:20. I arrived at 8:50 to turn in my already completed paperwork. At 10:20 I am still in the waiting room, freezing in pants and a jacket.

Dr. McLean is the best she goes over and beyond for her patients she get straight to the point on everything I’m ready to start my journey

I have been unable to schedule an appointment with them due to not answering the phone. I don’t understand why it goes straight to the answering machine at a Dr’s clinic! Just not very professional to me…

Dr. Steinkampf was very rude. No bedside manner. Very condesending. I would never recommend this doctor.

Staff is nice but they are slow. You here for your appointment on time and it takes them 2 hours before they even see you.
