I am real sadden and emotionally hurt that NO ONE in that office takes your situation as serious. I had to write 2 grievances on the staff and doctors because I was without a doctor for almost 4 months and I had no idea until it was time for me to get my medicine. I was trying to get help from this organization because I was illegally evicted from my apartment because the maintenance Guy called me a FAXXET and when I reported it they did fire him and promised me 28 months of credit on documentation but when college park code enforcement began giving them citations they changed their name, took back all the credit they gave me and then filed a writ on the back rent and got me evicted and I tried telling that to Positive Impact but of course this was no big deal to them. So I am fighting this on my own. Its sad that organizations like this do not have the heart and time and energy to help people in my situation. I have a civil attorney but I cannot rush her. Yet I am trying to survive in a Hotel each day. I have learned my lesson with reaching out for help.

I truly want to believe this place wants to do good but holy crap so they have horrible communication and little to no care for anyones time. Its utterly ridiculous how many times Ive waited so long for my SCHEDULED appointment while walk-ins come and go like its nothing. Its an utter travesty. Long bouts of phone tag to schedule an appointment and a nurse line that never seems to be answered to the response of Ill send another email to the nurse when you have been sitting in the waiting room for an hour from a receptionist that just doesnt seem to give 2 craps. This is disappointing. Truly.

You go for testing and gotta call them to get your results. Then they gotta big sign on the tv stating order free condoms and you never receive them. You call and speak with someone at the office and get transferred to a non working extension. Not to mention this is NOT a free clinic!

This place is a mess. Great that they offer the help and resources they do, but it is ridiculously unorganized. I have had an issue every single time I’ve gone in, little to no direction from staff, long waits even after you made an appointment while they let walk-ins go in in front of you. One time I waited a whole hour and a half to be seen because the nurse assigned to me left for an emergency and nobody checked to see if anyone was assigned to her.A couple weeks ago I made a telehealth appointment, nobody told me how it worked, I called 3 separate times and received a different answer every time, the last nurse I called told me she fixed the appointment to be a telehealth appointment and that I would get a call. Waited an hour past the appointment time for the call…so I called them. The nurse who responded said I was supposed to come in and that it wasn’t actually a telehealth appointment after all, then acted like they were doing me a favor for having the doctor call me when he had a moment. The doctor never called, I kept calling back and the line went straight to voicemail. No offer to reschedule, no apology, nothing.I’ve never seen so much unprofessional behavior at a healthcare office, most of the people working there seem to be more concerned about having a good time than actually taking care of their patients. Any time I go in they are goofing around or not paying attention, which I wouldn’t mind if they weren’t making mistakes every single time I go in. Another time I went in for an appointment, I was provided a cotton swab with absolutely no direction and then put in the bathroom..it was for a throat swab, as I found out. When I went and asked why they didn’t perform the oral swab like they usually do, they acted like I was being demanding of them because “he doesn’t want to do it himself,” as if this whole time it was normal for people to do their own throat swabs…every time I went before that they had done it for me.The unfortunate thing is maybe a good 25 percent of the time, I will get someone on the phone or in the office that’s actually helpful and caring, I hope this place actually values these people because all the others are dragging this place down. Once I get my appointment done (if they ever decide to call me back) I am never returning to this clinic. I advise not going here if you have any other alternatives.

Their intentions are good, but they have a focus in the wrong areas, it appears. Seems as if they are more focused with the building looking good then training staff to critically solve issues and equippimg them with tools to troubleshoot simple issues. Libby wait tims are long, front desk staff dont appear to even know th type of paperwork one needs for simple requests, it is almpst impossible to get an answer on the phone or even a callback.

VERY satisfied with the service and care provided at this facility! My practitioner answers every question I may have and is great at explaining things and anticipating my questions. I feel like I’m his only patient in the world when I’m being seen, knowing he has probably already seen numerous others that same day, if not 1 or 2 others at the same time. With numerous support services offered and a convenient pharmacy, I highly recommend this clinic for treating your whole body and mental wellbeing!

Absolutely ridiculous. Disorganized, mismanaged, no communication at all. My partner is now going his second round of missing several days of a needed medication because this place cant get it together...it needs to be fixed immediately. Similar situation back in January with bad communication between dr/case worker/pharmacy. This time a Rx refill was called in to his case worker...who swore it was put in...and was transferred to the pharmacy to confirm...this was Thursday 2/9....pharmacy then told him it wasnt in yet and hed have to wait....he called several times and was eventually told he could pick the medicine up Friday 2/10..and acknowledged he had to miss that nights dose....so he made plans to pick it up in person and leave work early....he took marta out to Decatur just to find a sign on the door that the office was closed due to an all staff meeting! NO call...no warning...NO COMMUNICATION. He now has to miss a 2nd nights dose in hopes to pick it up tomorrow....we have NO WAY of confirming if theyll for sure be open tomorrow...he has had several case workers over the last 18 months...and its just getting worse...people actually need help and youre putting them through this unnecessary worry and causing hardship. Absolutely ridiculous. Yall need to get it together.

The level of professionalism seems to decline here by the visit now. That’s pretty sad because I’ve been seen here for 6 years now. If it was not for my actual doctor and nurse tech I would have been stopped coming here. The housing and case management departments are laughably a waist of time. They literally cost me 300$ last year and guess what I’m still homeless behind their lack of communication skills. The in house pharmacy is a plus but just don’t expect to much.

OMG, no no bad reviews. From parking to picking up the medicine, everything was PERFECT. When I arrived I didnt know much, so the security lady took me to the customer service desk (she was very polite). The customer service girl was very patient and polite. Afterwards I was seen by Shawn - prevention, he was very patient, very polite and nice. Afterwards Mss Shavon took care of me with so much kindness and education, that I was enchanted by her manner. She even took me to the pharmacy to make sure everything was ok. Thank you all. Youre great !

Great location to get free testing for HIV/STD. No insurance or payment is needed for the first test of HIV/STD. Free HIV testing every 30 days. $75.00 for STD testing after the first one. The staff was very knowledgeable, confidential and friendly. The facility was nice and clean. They open at 9:00 am. They are also open on Saturdays. They will give you free HIV/STD prevention and have a lot of information about PrEP and PEP.

Came in here for a rapid HIV test. I called prior to going and did not have to make an appointment for the test. I was seen fairly quickly - so a wait time of around 5 minutes. The test itself took about 30 seconds to come back and all employees were very friendly and helpful. Id recommend this business for free rapid HIV testing.

Idk what’s going on with their “Mental Health” services but they’ve become very unprofessional and the communication SUCKS. It’s taking forever to schedule anything and when you do you’re easily missing appointments because your not being properly communicated with in order to know what’s needed of you to make the appointment . Only to be rescheduled weeks out for something that wasn’t your fault. It’s been almost a month of me going back and forth. GOD forbid I be someone who really needs to see someone or needs guidance. Nobody seems knowledgeable about their job. There is no urgency or compassion almost like they don’t even wanna help or be there. Shut it down if that’s the case. This place used to be such a great place. Not anymore. There needs to be someone there who really cares about Mental Health and organizing their program better.

I am so relieved that I switchedFrom AHF to Positive Impact! Everyone here from the moment you walk in until the moment you walk out has made it a pleasant experience. I am extremely satisfied with how responsive, professional and welcoming the staff has been. I decided to switch my medical care here after having multiple terrible interactions at AHF with staff and my medical care. Love my new Physician Williams and the healthcare coordinator Justin gets stuff done! Thank you team! Keep up the good work! 10/10 rating from a very satisfied patient!

I called and left voicemail so that I could get a therapy appointment. I received a call back and explained to the representative why I wanted do therapy and she scheduled me for an on boarding call back. She never called me back, so I decided to follow up. When I finally did receive another call back back it was from a representative that after asking a series of invasive questions informed me that Positive impact does not offer therapy for anyone that is not HIV positive or struggling with drug addiction. After over a month of doing my due diligence and follow up work to make sure that I got an appointment with a mental health professional, I was told it was all for nothing. Something that I should have been informed of before the intake process even began. If someone is seeking mental health services and this is their experience, in that time a suicide could have been committed, a serious breakdown leading to another tragedy could have taken place. DO BETTER POSITIVE IMPACT.

I came in here after a really long day and feeling pretty stressed but after just 5 minutes of speaking with Counselor James I felt a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders. I think he just knew by the look on my face that I just wasnt there mentally. They were all so patient with me. I ended up at the wrong location and Ms Regina came and found me... she was hilarious and very respectful. The NP she took me to was Ms. Robin and she was super knowledgeable. I definitely can say that Id recommend this center to anyone. Everyone is super friendly, patient and on time plus the counselors advice was spot on and refreshing. If you suffer from depression or just need someone to talk to... this is the right fit for you. #thankfulSimple things I appreciated: cleanliness: the security guard went around spraying and sanitizing frequently. There was a lady handing out candies to everyone. 😊Its the things you do when you dont think anyones watching that counts the most for me.

The absolute worst facility for mental health services.Called about services, left a voicemail, and received a call back 2 weeks later. Set up an appointment and no one showed up. I called about 5 times during my appointment time and they were finally able to find someone to do my intake. I was assigned a therapist and scheduled an appointment for the next week. On the day of my appointment, she called and said she had to reschedule. I told her I had no other available time during this week, so she said we could keep the appointment. She never showed. I called her 3 times, left a voicemail, and never got a call back. If you want MORE stress to deal with, this place is for you.

So today I called to do a customer service call to follow up with the nurses and Nicole who answered the phone was very rude and seem to not be trauma or customer service trained. We can no longer have an attitude with the people who are calling for help and continue to be greeted with rude administrative assistants. I called two times to get a nurse and was told that they are in clinics and she then stated when you call you may get a voicemail, I simply advised her that has not been one time I called and got to a nurse. Well, I wanted to visit this location based on the reviews but unfortunately I didn’t even make it to the front door before I experienced very rude and inconveniencing customer service. As instructed, I reached out via phone to schedule an appointment For STI testing but at 9:10 am - 9:40 am and after calling literally 10 times , 4 out of the 10 times , someone picked up the phone and hung it up.I am extremely upset and disgusted in the manner of which this was handled because on the first pick up I could have been informed that they weren’t taking appointments. It is blatant disrespect to constantly be hung up on and ignored , especially when matters of the health are involved.and yes , I did continue to call to share the inconvenience of having to hear the phone constantly ring. I had time today.

Apparently, COVID-19 has affected the scheduling system for their PREP clinic. They only offer same day appointments, which you have to call at 8:30 AM to try and secure a spot and hope you have nothing else going on at whatever time they have left. For years I was able to schedule my appointment 3 months in advance and now it appears that future appointments somehow increases the risk of infection.I understand that theyre going to want to screen me and ask if I had any symptoms, but those calls can be made the day of a scheduled appointment.
