Planned Parenthood - Fort Myers Health Center

I had a wonderful experience at Planned Parenthood. The entire staff was incredibly helpful, understanding, and kind. They took the time to explain everything in detail, ensuring I felt comfortable and informed throughout the process. I want to give a special shoutout to Alice, the clinician assistant. She was exceptional—professional, compassionate, and attentive to my needs. Her care made a significant difference in my visit. I highly recommend this clinic for their outstanding service and support.

The medical staff were so kind, patient and helpful the whole time my partner and I were in. They were honest about pains that can come with the IUD and were very attentive in the aftercare as well! Thank you for a very pleasant experience there. I will definitely recommend to my friends in seek of services such as those.

I usually hate going to the Doctor because staff is rude and just treats you like another patient. But I had a great experience here! Staff was very friendly, the office was very clean, and they really made me feel welcomed!

I havent had a lot of positive experiences here. Some of the staff are rude and withdrawn. When Ive gone for testing and they had to do a pap smear on me, I waited for results in another room and could hear them talking about me and out of no where i hear one of them shout Eureka! very loudly the entire building definitely heard. It was very odd and embarrassing that a professional would say that, and that being the way I find out that i tested positive for something... Another uncomfortable time for me was when I came in because I was experiencing extreme pain with my periods and intercourse for years and wanted to find out what it was and if there was any way to treat it. The younger female asian woman was with me and I told her I have been experiencing an unusual amount of pain for as long as I could remember and I definitely know that its not normal for it to be as debilitating as it is. She literally dismissed everything that I told her and looked at me as if I was an idiot and said you know that sex is supposed to hurt. Then she didnt ask me any other questions and told me that she was going to do a pap smear to look at my cervix, it was very fast and uncomfortable for me. Immediately after finishing she said she didnt find anything. Then I went to go sit back down and she asked me if I wanted to get the birth control implant in my arm, that very same day... I was speechless because I never insinuated that I was interested in something like that let alone that wasnt the reason I came in, in the first place???? She was pushy with it and I obviously declined. Seems like she doesnt care for her patients well-being but cares more about her paycheck. I cant say I would ever come back here ever again because of this experience, I hate to say it but It was quite traumatizing.Thankfully I went to a different place I found a different doctor to get a second opinion and it turns out that I have a tilted cervix and thats the reason behind my intense pain.

Everyone in the staff was very helpful, very understanding, and very kind. They explained everything in detailed. I opted for the in-clinic procedure with sedation and I can’t even remember what happened of how little to nothing I felt.

This place is beyond amazing and i have no words to describe the patience , understanding, compassion that the people in this place have. Dr Sampson , Alice , Nurse Jessica , Letty , Tanya, and one other person that was my check in made my heart melt. All i wanted to do was cry, but with them being in my presence and listening to me, joking with me made me lose all of my anxiety and fear i had in the beginning. If it ever came down to it , i would return to this place , & only this place! Please keep up the amazing work you guys do ! I appreciate it entirely so much and I love you guys!!

The workers at planned Parenthood Fort myers are very friendly and awsome they did a great job and i felt very comfortable. I did not feel like i was being judged or anything they are great people.

This establishment was awesome when I went. The staff was friendly, kind, sympathetic, and understanding to my issues and concerns and address everything quickly, efficiently, and with professionalism!I drove over an hour to be seen and I would gladly do it again with the level of service they attended to me with.The staff all around was incredible. The facility was clean and felt very inviting and felt like a safe environment to be in.No judgment was felt only concern to address you and your needs. More places like this are needed for people of all ages and walks of life!I personally went in with a slight concern to be checked up on after being cancelled on by a fancy independent doctor that did not care I needed to be seen and had health issues. This place was my saving grace!Special thanks to Milly, Flo and the two other intake helpers working that day that I can’t not remember their names at the moment.If more places could be like this it would be awesome. Donate and give more funding to places like these! They are life savers.

Alice was incredible! I needed to get a pap smear done she made me feel so comfortable and was super friendly. Did my blood work fast and only one poke. She was great!

Staff was great special shout out to Corey and Cheryl they made us feel extremely comfortable . This is a great environment they dont make you feel uncomfortable or ashamed theyre uplifting and supportive . Thank you for the comfortable pleasant experience.

My experience at the clinic was so good. I felt that the staff really cared and guided me the whole time. I got the arm implant and the process was quick and well explained to me even though I had already had it. 10/10 would recommend a friend to visit them for any services. Additionally the staff spoke Spanish which made me feel included and represented as a Latina.

I had a check up here last year and they gave me so information regarding a program to apply for a grant for a mammogram and a program for IUD birth control. At the time I had no insurance and no way of taking care of this otherwise. I had the IUD and the Mammogram done within a month. They were so information in caring and listening at the appointment as well. Definitely recommend them.

Wonderful staff that really care. Support they offer is way beyond their duties. Nurse Milly was amazing! Very supportive, knowledgeable, she treated me like a friend, not just another patient. Wonderful woman! Also Lori who followed up with a phone call was sympathetic, sensitive and kind. She gave me her extension in case I needed more support. I can not express how wonderful all those girls are. Thank you for all you hard work and care. You are amazing!!!!

Ive been going to Planned Parenthood for many years. The staff are always so kind and patient. They listen to you and take steps to accommodate all your needs. It always touches my heart how nice and friendly everyone is. I feel like I can be open and talk with them about anything in the world. I genuinely love the staff and this office and will always come here for any of my needs.

Thank you to the staff at the Fort Myers Planned Parenthood for making my visit seamless, safe and quick. Thank you particularly to Milli for making the check in process understandable and fast, Alice for being very thorough in going over questions with me and drawing my blood, and Marison for answering any question I had. From start to finish, this was a great experience.

When I called for my appointment the process was easy and quick over the phone.. but i clearly remember them saying “no children” but I was allowed to bring one person with me. Once I arrived they told me my mom couldn’t come inside with me she had to wait outside and mind you it’s really hot in Florida and my cars ac is currently not working but my mom did what she could. I entered the lobby and saw a lady with her 2-3 year old child.. anyways I loved the staff they were super nice to me and shoutout to the girl who attended me! Super kind and sweet I wish I got her name. I will never forget you and thank you for making me feel better.

Wednesday, I went over there around 11 am. One of the staff was so unprofessional; she rolled her eyes when the other coworker showed her my ID; by rolling her eyes, she probably said in her head, “Or not her again” The way she reacted It’s like she was tired of seeing me, or I was annoying her. I felt so uncomfortable and embarrassed. I felt like she was judging me. I’m not coming to this place anymore. Every patient should feel comfortable and safe.

So far calling them to talk to someone is difficult and I had to wait 20mins to try to talk to someone. I couldn’t wait any longer. When I drove in; there was few people protesting. They said it’s normal. The staff are super nice and it’s your decision on what you want to do. Very clean lobby. A good 10 minutes wait or so. When I got checked out they were nice and seem to explain everything good. Very comforting so far. They sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy but I fixed that.

Called when I found out I was pregnant they were nice but told me they dont do ultra sounds or stuff with pregnancy this was in November. Wasnt looking for an abortion or anything just help since this is my first. They did give me a number but it was disconnected. I dk I just thought since the name they helped with this stuff. :(

If I could give more than 5 stars I totally would! I had an amazing experience. I had to get the Nexplanon contraceptive removal and insertion. The nurses at the front desk during check in/check out were so nice! They were polite, and I felt so welcomed. Then once it was time to get the procedure done, the nurse and the practitioner were extremely comforting. She gave me ice packs and some wet paper towels to cool me down since I have a history of severe anxiety. The practitioner walked me through and had explained EVERYTHING detail by detail on what she was going to do next. I felt a little lightheaded once the procedure was over with, so the nurses let me take my time standing and they also provided some apple juice for me. I was also able to play some music on my phone to speed up the process. I will forever go here for any of my feminine needs. I had a wonderful time, and the nurses & doctors deserve so much more credit than they receive.Great job ladies! and thank you for an amazing appointment.

The staff at this facility are so very sweet, understanding and accommodating. The office itself is clean, modern and comfortable. I have never felt so welcomed and attended to in a medical office before. I will be recommending that all my family, friends & associates come here for care. I will also double my efforts to support Planned Parenthood & their mission.

I was very impressed with Alice and Flo! They were very professional and gave me excellent service. They were extremely nice and answered all my questions. I got my implant replaced and was out of there in no time! I am very pleased with my experience and will be coming back whenever needed!

I had an appointment at 2pm, but misunderstood the woman on the phone and came at 12pm instead. When I got there they took me in immediately, even though I was 2 hours early. Staff is extremely friendly and professional. Monica and Flow were the two technicians/ staff that performed my exam... they were informative and made me feel comfortable. The environment was very clean and a well kept facility. Super great experience, took less than 30 minutes, even with me showing up 2 hours earlier than I was meant to be there.

We have been help a family member with planned parenthood, we were in the safe protective services , given a much needed information to secure body in the best states of health. MILLY AT FRONT DESK AND NYEMA DID GREAT JOB AT EXPLAINING, GUIDING AND WELCOMING WITH A CARING LOVING CARE! Thank you so much for all your time and care! You are blessed heart!!!

I get birth control here. The facility is ALWAYS clean, everyone is nice, and they’re efficient. I wish I could just get the entirety of my health care done here haha.

I had a wonderful experience with the doctor and the person who explained my procedure and the medication I needed to take. I didn’t, however, have a great experience with the ultrasound technician. I had to have a vaginal ultrasound, and it was extremely uncomfortable. I understand that is normal per the procedure. What made me the most uncomfortable was her attitude toward me. She made me feel anxious and I was already nearing panic due to the situation I was in.I had to do deep breathing on the table while she completed the procedure, and was very cold and unfriendly. I was incredibly nervous and she made me feel bad about forgetting the paper blanket to cover myself at first. After it was over, I forgot it on the floor and she pointed it out, acting disgusted.I threw it away, trying to hide my incredible embarrassment. I was not in my right state of mind and very stressed and sad that I was in this situation to begin with. The reason I am writing this review is because your staff needs to know how this behavior effects your patients. It made an already traumatic experience worse and I still feel awful when I think about it. That person needs to work on their bedside manner.

The waiting time is horrible/unbelievable. I cant believe they always have an excuse why they are so behind. Come one, covid time is gone. If you are short staff then hire more employee. I have to waited 4 hrs for a birth control.

Every single person who I came in contact with was amazing. They are all so compassionate and progressive. They respect their patients and dont hold themselves above them. I have never felt more comfortable at a doctors office then when I was with them. If they accepted my insurance, I would make them my primary!!!!!!

I started my transition with them two years ago after hearing about their Hormone Replacement services on the radio and they are just as kind and helpful and just over all a blessing to me as they were in the beginning. Its awesome to have such a caring staff helping me along my transition journey. The atmosphere is pleasant and everyone is so accepting. It really is a judgment free zone and I truly appreciate the total comfort I feel when I walk inside.

Doctor Flo is nice however too rough during papsmears . I made it probably down the road before feeling faint and almost passing out due to the discomfort/ weird feeling after leaving the office post pelvic exam . This was only my second one ever but it felt like she went too hard and too fast

It disgusts me that protesters stand out in front of this clinic. I found the facility to be clean and inviting and the staff was warm and helpful, and graciously undeterred by the element outside. My visit was quick and efficient. I am grateful these folks are here and that I was able to receive my routine annual care in such a peaceful and cheerful woman-forward environment.

My experience with Milly, Katiana and Letty has always been stellar. They are kind loving and always wearing smiles even behind their masks. Definitely recommend!

This was honestly the best medical visit I have ever had. I mistakenly made my appointment for the next week and the reciptionists were kind enough to move my date to the day of. Becky and Flo were amazing, as was the rest of the staff. I couldn’t have felt more comfortable in a less-than-comfortable situation. Thank you PP (College Pkwy) for all of your hard work! You guys are amazing.

Staff is not helpful in anyway. Very judgemental. Never get a call back. Put in an IUD for me with limited information. No aftercare or support at all. Cant even get a call back anymore. Last person I spoke to told me to find a real gynecologist.

The staff is always extremely friendly especially Jazmin!! Me being a part of the LGBT community I love how I don’t feel judged. Everyone is treated equally. Amazing facility!! If I could I would give them 10 stars!!!

What a wonderful place! I was able to make an appointment later that day to get my implant removed and a new one inserted instead of waiting 2 months for my doctor to be able to do it. Everyone was so nice and a special thanks to flo removing it and jade assisting!

Excellent information, detailed explanation, good humor, gentleness, and kindness. Had implant taken out of my arm.(Which wasn’t placed very well 5 years ago) Bad at names, but the women who helped me out Saturday were awesome. Thank you. Moved from out of state, this was my first visit here and I was pleased, easy check in, easy visit, easy check out. Clean.I like seeing security out front, and felt security was good inside. Disgusting to see the protesters (be safe PPH), but they won’t keep me from making my next appointment.

I would give them a 5 star rating but Im confused as to why I (born and identify as a woman) went in for a problem and got a whole STD panel done, yet when I scheduled my fiance (born and identifies as a Male) for ONLY the STD panel, his appointment was 45 dollars more. We were both self pay, so maybe not too friendly for the male population. Other than that, it is a very clean and nice looking facility and everyone is always so kind, professional, and respectful.

Staff is consistently rude, disrespectful, and inconsiderate every time I call. Very judge mental and does not care to hide it. Depo visits take an hour sometimes more just to get one shot.

I can’t thank this planned parenthood office enough. The staff was very welcoming, and gave me all the information and help I needed. Thank you to Milly, and Yani in particular, y’all were very helpful. 02/23/2023

I went in on 8/31/18 the check in and check out girls were great! Becky helped me with my visit, she gave me great information on my birth control. I was very nervous to go to Planned Parenthood due to the reviews but I took a chance and I definitely dont regret it at all! Thank you Planned Parenthood for everything that you do.

Absolutely loved the treatment I have received at this clinic ! Katiana greeted me and answered all of my questions with ease and she ensured that despite all of my worries everything will be fine. I was very informed when I left the clinic and I recommend everyone who needs help in these situations to go here and see her. You will not be disappointed .

I really appreciate how kind and nonjudgmental everyone in the clinic is . You can really tell they want to help one be healthy from the minute you walk in to when your in the room. I went alone on my first visit and I was so nervous but the way they work and explain everything to me really helped me. Definitely would refer my friends here .

I go to planned parenthood specifically because of the fabulous customer service provided by Monica. She is educated and friendly. I highly recommend this location because the staff treats me with respect and never judges. Thank you planned parenthood and Monica for providing me with the best womens healthcare.

Went to PP today to have my IUD removed due to not having health insurance any longer and I cant speak highly enough of the staff. Everyone, from the girls at the front desk, to the nurse, to the ARNP, was just the most friendly and I was in and out in less than an hour. Great experience. Thanks PP!

First I want to say the facility is very modern and clean. Love the way they respect there patients privacy and comfort. The staff there is amazing , I was helped by both Arais and Katiana. They were both so sweet and respectful, they answered all of my questions! I highly recommend this place I give it a 10/10 ☺️

Called 30 minutes before closing they would not answer then they hung up on me. I had one simple task for them which was to change my birth control that I had already called for a few days before. They didn’t send over the correct generic brand. Just trying to get on the birth control pill is the most difficult task and it shouldn’t be. They need more caring staff apparently!!

We had a great first experience today with Kelly and Becky, very helpful made our decision easy . The whole staff was great! I would definitely recommend planned parenthood of Fort Myers to all my friends!

By far the best Telehealth visit Ive ever had. Check-in was very simple, just confirmed my insurance info and basic demographics. I had my birth control consultation with Florence (Flo) Harris, ARNP. She was so sweet and very helpful. I was able to get referrals I didnt know were even possible through Planned Parenthood. The entire visit from beginning to end only took about 20 minutes. This is my third visit with a Planned Parenthood provider, but I went to the Manatee and Sarasota branches previously. Due to COVID-19, the Manatee branch closed, which is very unfortunate, but Im so impressed with my appointment overall with the Fort Myers office. Even happier I didnt have to go in person.

The staff was friendly. The wait was short, and everyone provided so much support without judgement. Im uninsured, and I dont have a job so it was upsetting to learn that they no longer have a sliding scale for income. I ended up paying about $130 for an annual exam and one STD test.

I had to go for a medical issue that I am still having. They made me feel like I was not alone in this and everyone was super professional and nice. The only downside was the collection of people outside protesting. I know that is not their fault. Would recommend to anyone who is having problems with their reproductive system or the need for birth control to come here. I know I will be back!

I love all the women at planned parent hood! Monica was so pleasant and helpful , I had my first Pap and Dr.kelley was gentle and friendly ! They even insisted on finding me a phone charger once since my phone died.... happy happy patients. Yearly checkup needed more BC

Horrible just horrible. Been trying to contact them for the past couple of days same with my pharmacy and nothing. I would reach the moon before they answer my damn phone call.

I walked in having vaginal problems related to a yeast infection. Got it right away & was able to get my medication within a couple of hours. Affordable, friendly, and the doctor was easy to talk to (Dr. Staal I think lol). Thank you so much for the excellent service. Praying for a speedy recovery! :)

RUDE STAFF. I make an appointment online for more that 2 week before, they call me to confirm it and confirm my insurance. The day of the appointment I went early (it was at 9.40 and I was at 9) the receptionist take my name, sit to wait. 5 min later she call me and with an very rude attitude state that today they not taking any insurance company if I want to continue with my appointment I have to make a soft payment or they can reschedule until at the end of the month!! I said no way and she said sorry and call the next person. OMG... !! Not

I know a lot of people have their own opinion about planned parenthood. But I think theyre great. & the office in fort myers is a really good office to go to if you have a emergency or anthing you want to take care ofEverytime i visit the office its always clean. Great customer services. The staff are so sweet & always caring for your needs.

I’ve been going to this facility and the service is amazing. The ladies are extremely patient and nice. The ladies and the physicians take the time to properly educate you on many procedures and theories. If only I can them 10 stars!!!

Extremely disappointed in this location. I went in after a miscarriage, and was told the Dr. does not accept insurance, which is fine. I brought the amount they quoted for an ultrasound to make sure I did in fact have a full miscarriage. They took my money up front. I went back, and the nurse told me it was up to me to have an ultrasound or not, but that I was very early on in pregnancy; so they probably wouldnt be able to see anything. I also spoke to the Dr, who informed me that it sounds like I know my body, that I knew I had a miscarriage, and there is no greater risk of infection from a miscarriage. So I decided to not have the ultrasound so I could save my money. They also said I needed to have my blood taken, so they gave me a finger stick. They told me there would be no charge since I did not have the ultrasound, and returned my money before I left. Two weeks later I developed a horrible infection because there was still product left..I had an ultrasound done somewhere else that determined this. I ended up having to go to the hospital for a D&C, which was a huge bill. The next week I receive a bill for $110. Why am I getting a bill when my money was returned at the office? Please do not tell people there is no greater risk for infection, I am proof that there is. I can not call the office directly to ask about the bill, and the number I do call just ends up going to voicemail. Ive had to deal with so much in the past couple of months. I could have saved a lot of money if I had just gotten the ultrasound.

I had an appointment and still had to wait in the waiting room for over an hour. Then once I finally got called back they wanted to run all these tests that, of course, cost extra. I went in expecting to only pay $45 and ended up paying over $100. The only good thing I can say about this place is the ARNP is very nice and tells you what shes doing before she does it.

I could not have picked a better place to begin my HRT replacement journey. Today I leave excited, grateful and knowledgeable. All of the staff were professional and kind. Beautiful place souls.

If I could give them a 100 negative stars I would. Have been trying to get ahold of someone for the last week! Have been on hold for 2+ hours everyday . Why even have a phone if no one answers!!!! Went to look at the reviews and they seem to always blame it on IT problems. At this point their employees who don’t answer are the problem! How can you have IT problems all the time!!!

As a cashing paying client, the prices are great. An IUD birth control was $500 less than PPC. Yes, the wait time can be long. But come in expecting to wait. It is no different then any other doctors office. Good and knowledgeable service.

I have been going here for almost 10 years because it is my only option for affordable birth control. Now it seems they could careless about their patients. Not only have they changed their office hours to be extremely inconvenient for the working woman but now their wait times to pick up the birth control are outlandish... An hour for them to get your name and your prescription ready..... REALLY?? With this new system they had to shut the whole office down for a week to learn and it is slower than the old one?? This is soo frustrating as it is impossible to get my medication from the office now. I have tried mailing it before and they sent it to the wrong address twice leaving me without my medication. I really hope they can get their act together because it is infuriating.

I am really upset because I urgently need to speak to someone and no one has been answering ALL DAY LONG. I have been on hold never speaking to anyone 20+ times except the first time where they put me on hold 15 minutes and it disconnected. I am literally freaking out with an urgent situation and am on the verge of complete tears. Not kidding ALL DAY LONG obsessively calling and NO ONE answers. Nothing. Unbelievable. On hold for eternity every time then it disconnects. This is not acceptable.

This is by far the most friendly and respectful doctors office. I was recommended to a specialist, but felt more accommodated here with my HRT. They answered all my questions and were helpful every time I had an issue with my medication!

HORRIBLE. One word for the service/entire experience. I had an appointment at 9:20 and they seriously had me wait until 10:30... what is the point of scheduling any appointment? I went for a checkup and they brought in a student..??? Seriously the gyno said this is Michelle shes going to be doing your checkup shes in her last semester. Ladies, how uncomfortable is this? & unprofessional? Such a joke...

All the ladies made me feel very comfortable. Monica, Jasime, Isabel, Barbra, flow and Dr. are the ones who worked with me personally and they treated me so good! Overall I would recommend Planned Parenthood to any mpre who want the best service. Thank you all❤

I had an IUD and it needed to come out (it had been 3 years). I had gotten the IUD when I had insurance and at the time, and now I did not have insurance. To have it taken out at another OBGYN office it was going to be $500 without insurance which I could not afford. This was my first time using a Planned Parenthood and everyone was so kind and it was way more affordable for me.

Very kind and caring people! The only ones there for me in time of need! The appt for birth control was quick and easy on my unemployed wallet! They are truly their for woman and their needs! Will choose PP over my previous GYN (Physicans Primary Care) even when I get my insurance back!

They were the only ones to help me when I was sick. No other doctor would even hear me out because I had no insurance. PP took the time to help. Theyre so much more than most people think.

Waiting here right now for my birth control. Been here for almost 40 mins. I was told it would only be 30 mins... a ridiculous amount of time to wait anyway! Not to mention, the business didnt even open until noon today. How much more inconvenient can they make it!?! Not to mention the staff is rude and uncaring. Overall a very bad experience. Ive always dreaded coming in here but now its impossible. Who the hell has a whole day to pick up birth control anyway!

They are amazing at what they do. Ive been getting my DEPO shot here for a while. I see the Protesters that are out there going off about abortion and a little FYI they are not just about Abortion. If they would just get themselves inform about all the other services they offer, they will see what a huge help they are to our community.

Easy online scheduling, staff is friendly, thorough & makes you feel comfortable during your visit. Weekend hours is also a plus for those who work Mon-Fri.

I have been trying to get in contact via phone to ask simple questions and no one answers. I have tried calling about 5 times and their staff never answers. They either need better training or better staff. Makes me never want to step foot into here because of the unprofessionalism. Do better.

Literally like a few minutes late for a implant appointment and they refused to do it because they were short staffed but we could see plenty of workers standing around talking in the back.

I love planned parenthood, they accept all insurances which is awesome!!! And they do so much more than just provide abortions. They help so much. Will forever go to planned parenthood for all my needs!
