I can’t say enough good things about this office as a whole. The front desk staff are amazing and pay attention to details. The nurse Melanie is amazing, so funny and down to earth. Makes me feel like we’ve been friends for years. The ultrasound techs I’ve seen were both so attentive and caring. The hype around Dr. McKenzie is for a reason and she’s worth the wait. She takes the time to explain things so you actually understand. She’s kind and patient with questions. Top notch!

I cant say enough good things about the incredible care Ive received from Erin, Nisha, and the entire staff at WHC. They truly listen and take the time to understand my needs, empowering me to make my own decisions while treating me with a respect that is beyond words. Their approach is compassionate, thoughtful, data-driven and patient-centered. I’m truly grateful for their dedication and wish every woman could experience this kind of healthcare. I can’t recommend the Women’s Health Collective enough! I see several providers here - Nisha, Sarah, and Erin. Before meeting Nisha, my problems were brushed off and not listened to. I had been to many other providers who never made me feel heard or made any effort to investigate my pain. Nisha did just that, she ran tests and diagnosed me with a condition and provided treatment for it. I cried in my car after that visit because I felt so relieved. I am SO thankful for the care I receive at WHC! I appreciate their weight neutral approach to healthcare and find it really refreshing, and it’s one of the many reasons why I travel across the state for care here. I highly recommend checking this practice out if you are looking for compassionate care in Michigan!

I’ve chosen to use the women’s health collective for a number of different services and each staff member I’ve interacted with is kind, affirming and mindful to any difficulties/accommodating. You never feel rushed or like just a number, it truly feels like you have a whole healthcare team committed to your wellbeing. 10/10 would recommend to any woman looking for primary care, OBGYN, or other more alternative medicines- they are the best of the best!

I cannot say enough good things about this office and all of the staff. Like many women, at times Ive felt rushed at the OBGYN and feel like the doctor isnt really listening to me.Womens Health Collective has changed my life. Dr. Nisha McKenzie is thoughtful, truly listens, and is incredibly knowledgeable of the complexity of female health. She has helped me throughout the treatment of my diagnosis and makes me feel validated, heard, and hopeful. I came to Womens Health Collective after my therapist recommended it. Nisha was so wonderful at my first visit. She made me feel extremely comfortable and was very easy to talk to. She listened to my issues and we decided physical therapy would be a good option for my personal issues and Lily Dawson is the absolute best! Going to see Lily is instantly comfortable and you feel like you are talking to one of your closest friends. This is the most relaxed I have ever felt in a doctors office, highly recommend.

There aren’t enough words in the English language to explain how grateful I am for the care I receive at Womens+ Health Collective. Not only do they view all of their patients as whole people, worthy of their time and attention, but they also are prompt with appointments, you’re not rushed out, the team genuinely lights up to see you. Top all of that off with wonderful trauma informed care?! Dream come true!I am a woman of size, who has lived her entire life misdiagnosed and thus, miserable. Within my first appointment Nisha had me appropriately diagnosed and on a new (truly life changing!!!) medication. No matter your size, your identity, or any other qualifier you will be respected, treated with kindness and compassion and get the help you need!

They seem to provide okay service. Dr. Mika is nice. I had some basic bloodwork done at a wellness visit, and when I messaged the doc asking how I could raise my good cholesterol/lower bad, the office called me and said the doc wanted a video chat to answer that (not mentioning that I would get charged for a regular office visit). She spent 5 minutes on the phone with me, and then they charged my insurance company for a follow-up office visit, which means they billed me for a $30 copay (wellness visits are free on my insurance)! So, be forewarned that they will charge you for every little thing. Its like sitting in a restaurant, paying for the food you ordered, and then getting a bill after you eat for asking for silverware to eat with.I have NEVER had a doctor charge me for discussing my test results with me, until now. So, I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. My daughter probably will stop going there too, because she definitely cant afford to get charged for a 5-minute video call. I recommend NOT using the Womens Health Collective.EDIT: Although they claim to want to make their policies better and improve care, they are just writing that because they want people to think they care. THEY DONT. They only care about getting money out of you. Otherwise, they would retract their insurance claim for the 5-minute video call and remove the $30 invoice they sent me. DONT BE FOOLED by their sincere-sounding claims. They refused to work with me at all, even though Ive been unemployed since February and on very limited income.

They deserve so many more than 5 stars. After dealing with a few other doctors who were dismissive of my problems they took the time to listen and get to the bottom of it. An intern named Trisha followed me home after my appointment with Nisha McKenzie. I have picture of her in front of my house in a gold jeep with yeezy sneakers on, hours after my first appointment ever with this establishment. They had me sign a document after the procedure, which was also a violation. Trisha should have not viewed my medical information and followed me home. I question if she was even a medical student or not. I filed a report with HIPPA for violating my personal information & will not be paying my bill until its settled.

I just want to rave about my experience at Women’s Health Collective! After having some not so great visits at a different office, a friend recommended to me that I see Nisha. I am so glad I made the switch! Nisha didn’t just treat me like another patient, I was HER patient and she was going to take the time to really get to know me. I felt so comfortable in her presence and this comfort allowed me to divulge some issues I was having and this led me to Lilly for pelvic floor therapy. Lilly made me feel human and heard, and I had a fantastic experience with her as well. Because of my great experiences, I have now referred many friends. I urge you to make the switch to Women’s Health Collective if you aren’t loving your current gynecological office or you feel like ‘just another patient’. I promise that you will receive AMAZING care.

I am writing to share my positive experience with Tami Michele, DO and the CMA during my procedure this morning, Olivia. I had been dreading the procedure for over a month and was already on the verge of tears when entering the office this morning. Dr. Tami made me feel safe by taking the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, what prompted it, what I should expect, and asked me several questions. She also made space for me to ask questions and made me feel incredibly heard during the appointment. I was also very thankful for the availability of nitrous oxide during the appointment, which greatly alleviated my pain and anxiety during the procedure. Olivia and Dr. Tami made the experience as comfortable as possible, even asking me my favorite music and playing Lizzo during the procedure despite it being a very odd choice for morning time. Although this was not a fun experience, Dr. Tami and Olivia did everything in their power to make me feel comfortable and cared for. I would recommend WHC to others, especially Dr. Tami and Olivia, CMA.

Most of my life I have been shamed by medical personnel for my weight. I struggle with pcos and was very nervous for my first appointment with Nisha. The entire experience, from making an appointment while my toddler was being difficult in the background, to being listened to and validated in my health concerns, to the recent ultrasound and lab work I had done, everyone has been so kind. I have never felt so respected, included, and cared for from a healthcare provider. Nisha and her staff (Im so sorry I dont remember more names!) are caring, kind, and make me feel like I belong. And this picture is posted next to the scales. Not once have I been talked down to, judged, or made to feel less than. Thank you for the work you do and the way you do it!

I met Nisha when she came to me to design the website for WHC — she was a lovely person to work for and I was drawn in by her mission but in the back of my mind thought, Theres just no way this can be real. Almost a year as her patient and Im here to tell you, she talks the talk AND walks the walk.I had a hysterectomy as a young adult and was having some recurring pain, she was the first person to sit down prepared with my health history, listen and then form a plan of attack. Every step of the way Nisha and the entire team at WHC made me feel affirmed and cared for. As most of us have learned the hard way, this is not the typical experience in the medical world today.I have been able to continue to work with Nisha as needed, but I also see Erin for her expertise in anti-depressants that limit sexual side effects and Lily for pelvic floor PT. I also see (and LOVE) Hannah at Grand Rapids Specialty Therapy and Kate at Little Dipper (both inside WHC.) All to say, as a woman with high standards, I feel qualified stating this is the most affirming, progressive and supportive space for all people identifying as women. Ending this here before I get all teary — WHC is just that great.

TW womens issues , pain, and poor serviceI just had a terrible experience with women’s health collective and I want to cry. I am in so much pain & finally thought I found an obgyn’s office who wants to help. Instead I am told I can’t be seen because of a billing issue I thought was resolved. I am then told I have a record of no call no shows for appointments that I missed which I know is incorrect. Then I am told in addition to what I owe for the billing dispute I had with my insurance company that I also owe $75 from cancelling an appointment same day as well as for the no call no shows. When I was told day of by their office my insurance would not cover the service. Then she proceeded to inform me dates of visits I supposedly no call no showed for that I knew nothing about. Now if I owe a balance I will pay it, but this was all very off to me. I told them I was more than willing to make an arrangement until everything could be verified. I was told I still could not be helped.I finally found doctors that would listen and then this happens. I don’t know what to do about my pain in the meantime? I called my primary care they refer me back to the obgyn. In the meantime my cysts have me vomiting from pain. It makes me feel like they never cared about me as a patient and it was all about the money based on all these fees and such they are trying to tack on outside of the bill that was in dispute with insurance. Now I am basically being listed as a problem patient I am sure. This is so disappointing 🙁

If you don’t know how to properly de-escalate a situation where your patient is literally in a mental health crisis without resorting to hanging up and victim shaming, then you have no right to call yourself a psychiatrist. Anyone who would say “what do you expect me to do?” When their patient is pleading for help and have detailed their dire situation multiple times, should not be a doctor. Someone who says their patient is guilt shaming them should not be a doctor. Erin Walker should be investigated into her mistreatment of patients.
