FPA Womens Health

I had an appointment here a few years ago in 2020 and I’ve honestly been afraid to make this review, but since it’s been a while, I will go ahead and say to try and avoid this clinic if you can, given if the staff is the same. I wanted to go in to have a very personal and emotional procedure done, which I will not say publicly but iykyk I guess. From the receptionists, to the nurses, to even the lady who supposedly oversees the staff, just EVERY staff member I had to encounter made me severely uncomfortable and frankly made my already existing anxiety for my visit a lot worse. I was nothing but pleasant and cordial, being someone who worked almost a decade in communicating with the public. I was made SUPER uncomfortable and the staff really did not try to hide their annoyance with me asking questions for something that is obviously could be detrimental to my reproductive health. It seemed like one of the nurses couldn’t leave their personal beliefs outside of the office and tried to guilt trip me into not doing said “procedure” and asked if I was sure over and over if I wanted to go through with it. For the life of me I wish I could remember her name. I know it started with a Z, but this same doctor felt the need to coerce me into taking birth control and was negligent on going over the benefits and side effects other than the obvious (hint: preventing a pregnancy). Surprise, but also not to my surprise, it actually destroyed my health. I am an active person and ate rather healthy, but gained 110lbs up until I stopped taking it. Back then, I remember I had left there in a pretty emotional state and had no comfort or reassurance from the staff who were also fellow women at the time, which made it extremely difficult to return again for the mandatory follow up appointment.Planned Parenthood on the other hand... The women at the 29th St location made me SUPER comfortable for my first pregnancy and did not hesitate to answer any questions, even took security measures to make sure I wasn’t being coerced into seeing them which was actually a really wonderful experience. Maybe consider them instead if you are skeptical 😁

Update to my review: if you dont have insurance be careful with their scummy billing tactics. I paid in full the price they told me ($260) that same day and now I am getting a bill that I owe $85 for God knows what??? Why am I getting charged extra for services I paid fully that same day?

The girls here are awesome!. they made me feel super comfortable, the girl on the phone was so professional and nice. when I arrived the girls on the front desk were super nice and welcoming, the girl who took my intake super sweet and helpful, the girl in the lab super gentle and sweet as well, and the provider, oh I loved her! so caring, sweet and super professional. such a good experience.

It was my first visit. Friendly, pleasant and gentle staff. They did everything I needed. I had to wait a bit, but given the specifics of the work, its not a big deal. I recommend😊

This place was so wonderful I didn’t have to wait at all after my appointment time, (which was maybe because it was Thursday but still!) they gave me so many options and even before my appointment I was able to speak with a lady who actually even called me back about my insurance. They totally relaxed me about my stresses and concerns I had and were just extremely accommodating. I am overwhelmingly pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone! The only thing is I wish the bathroom was a little bigger it’s tiny! And I had to bring my son in there lol but overall a great experience. Thanks ladies… Seriously. ❤️

Very Informative, Edifying can’t remember what the Doctor name was but she answered all my questions and concerns that I had. Thank you first visit got an A+++ from me. Will come back in the future.

They are amazing there the staff is beyond good they are amazing, I just moved back here and was feeling a bit out of place but the love and kindness there and although my name was difficult; all the staff that worked with me made an effort to get my name right Voncia…..

Very helpful and caring staff. They thoroughly took great care of me. They made me feel safe and were patient with me from the beginning to the end I appreciate everyone that works there especially savanna. She really looked out for my health. I had the best possible experience at my appointment. Everyone was so nice, friendly, and professional and everyone I came into contact with helped put me and my anxiety at ease. I was scared stiff at my appointment and the staff really helped keep me calm. I recommend FPA to everyone I know who could benefit from their service. Im not going anywhere else!

Was recommended to FPA! The surrounding is a little sketchy but I gave it a go. My appt time was 8:35am, I was greeted by the receptionist super friendly. Since I was new it took some time for them to clear the things I wanted done through my insurance (not FPA fault). I wasn’t seen until 10:35am throughout the whole process the receptionist kept me informed on what was going on & why it was taking so long. Once I was seen they gave me all my options for the reasons I came in. Savanna the NP was great. Never heard about FPA but definitely recommend if you’re in a pinch & your regular DR can’t fit you in for whatever reasons.

Staff is really nice and courteous every single time I go in. Its usually very busy and I understand it can be a long wait time but overall 10/10 experience.

I have made about 4-5 visits to this place. I feel like it is enough to get a good idea on the quality of service. They are somewhat friendly, not at all helpful and extremely slow. I always came in on time and was never able to leave in anything less than 2 hours. The last time I had to leave before the nurse could even see me because of the incredibly slow service. There was no other patients there that day, just to give you some background. Not one person apologized to me or said anything really. I am very upset with FPA and the quality of service; I will not be coming back.

Every staff member that I talked to was really nice. I have been here for a long time, but it is my first visit. They must have been informed of the past negative reviews because now the customer service is great. I will be coming back here for future needs, less people and less wait time than planned parenthood.

I really like this place, the staff here are very friendly and make their patients feel very comfortable. I would defiantly recommend this clinic to any female that is worried about the Dr. Or gynacologist that they choose... This is the best clinic for women.. 😊 Also I highly recommend trying the nexplanon implant for birth control, its not painful, and it lasts for 3 years, not to mention some women dont even have a period on it... Which is awesome, but unfortunately I still do...lol... But yes definitely recommended out of all.... 😁

I was very impressed with the way the staff made me feel comfortable, everyone was extremely friendly. I had the pleasure of having my appointment with Ebony. She is definitely a warm, caring, and extremely professional. FPA Women’s health is very lucky to have her.Thanks for everything

They got me in very quickly which I appreciated but everything since then has been done poorly. Had a procedure that wasn’t done correctly and I’m dealing with complications still 3 months later. I had an IUD placed that expelled immediately and was told the excruciating cramping was normal and that they couldn’t schedule me a follow up because they didn’t have a doctor available for the foreseeable future until they landed a new contract. When I was having complications at home and called the 24h line they gave me that number routed me to a different location that told me they couldn’t help me unless I was a patient of their location.

Very slow paced office. Not a good location. I have been about 4 times. I went back for pain and the red head Dr. Could care less and to me to deal with it and didnt even attempt to examine me. The rooms are small. More of a back alley type of feel to it. Only use their restroom of you have to otherwise ask for three key and got downstairs. The elevator scares me its so old. The staff want to have minimal conversation. So if your low Income and dont have anywhere else to go this is your place. I think they have a no kids allowed sign.

Currently in the 3rd waiting room. Ive been here for three hours and no one has checked in or let me know whats going on. Bathroom was very dirty and urine samples in the cabinet were literally stacked because staff hadnt grabbed them. Lobby was also covered with paper towels and papers on the ground. Many of the lights are either flickering or dont work.Very frustrated and panicked with no support from staff. If youre willing to wait 3+ hours in multiple waiting rooms, I suppose its ok. Also there werent many working lights. One room just had a lamp and many other lights were out and the rooms were dark because of it. Overall they definitely give you for profit care. May as well go to Planned parenthood. They also heavily over-schedule. Waiting rooms have been way too packed and they keep having to relocate people.Everyone i have spoken to here has also been waiting as long if not longer than I have. Avoid this place.

Such great staff! Explained everything, were willing to listen, and offered options. Savannah was amazing with patient care. I plan to go back whenever I need the help.

Im new to the clinic so i was a little nervous going in the first time. I usually go to Planned Parenthood but they were all booked for weeks so i decided to just try this one. Im pleased to say that i was nervous for no reason at all! All the staff members were very friendly & understanding. I was even lile 15 min late due to a car accident that caused heavy traffic, & they said no problem! They seen me even though i was super late which alot of places would have just rescheduled me. Each time ive went i was seen really fast & was out in a reasonable amoumt of time. No overdrawn waiting. No complaints. So far so good!

Everyone (Staff) was extremely nice. No hassle making an appt or during my visit! I totally recommend booking an appt ASAP! Clean and comfortable office for your next visit.

I have to say that Im beyond impressed with the staff and the overall feel of FPA. My visit there wasnt easy for me, but not once did i feel judged in any way shape or form. Every single staff member from the moment I checked in was beyond welcoming and all of them totally gave off a comfort feeling. Besides the amazing hospitality I was also rather impressed with how quickly I was in and out. I wanted to get in get out and come home to my family and thats exactly what they did for me. Thank you so much FPA you guys made something difficult for me not so unbearable. I appreciate all of you whom I interacted with from beginning to end.

Was seen on time. They are very patient and helpful. All the staff I encountered was very helpful. Its clear they have compassionate people. Who truly care about others. Would 100% recommend to anyone who is considering.

The staff was amazing, the manager was so helpful and so genuine. The girls at the front were phenomenal and so patient. Would recommend and def go there again. Thank you ladies for being great.

This location is so slow. I always have to wait over an hour just to be seen! I’ve never experience anything like this and it wasn’t even busy with people. I had a headache sitting there and missed my other appointment that I scheduled two hours ahead. This is too much.

The staff behind counter is AMAZING kind sweet and very considerate of others privacy and feelings been going there for 6 years now and no complaints if you make your appointment in the middle of the day you will have to wait a little wait

This place is awesome , I been there last week and Aerzou was so friendly and professional. She was very fast and kind with great attitude. I want to tell FPA that she is a big asset to the clinic. Thank you

I scheduled an appointment to get an ultrasound to find out how far along I was and to get checked for a yeast infection. I spoke with the person on the phone to make sure she got me in for my specific needs. I get there appointment was for 8am and I wasn’t called back until about 8:50. Couldn’t get an ultrasound Bcus the ultrasound tech apparently wasn’t in for the day. Then she says they don’t like to swab women who are pregnant. I told her then why did I come here if you can’t do anything I need done when I spoke with the woman on the phone and she gave me this appointment time to get these things done. She agrees to have the nurse swab me. Another surprise she can’t tell me if I have a yeast infection because it has to get sent out to the lab now. I hav been coming here for years and they look under the microscope usually to tell you about yeast or bv immediately. They no longer use a microscope they no longer want to check you if you are preg and they nolonger do surgical abortion. All new staff now like something happened there and they cleaned everyone out.

The office and rooms seemed dirty. Most of the staff was rude. They asked me to undress from the waist down for my ultrasound and didnt even give me anything to cover myself while I waited. The ultrasound machine wasnt printing clear photos that day so I didnt get a good picture.

I always go here for anything related to womens health. The wait period for a visit is usually only a few days at MAX. They even squeezed me in for an emergency visit once. Super discreet and non-judgemental, friendly and caring staff. The doctor even remembered me from a previous visit. Way better than planned parenthoods. Just my opinion... 😁

Truly caring. 💞Every time Ive been, I have received wonderful service and have only been referred to wonderful service. Sometimes busy but I dont blame them. Thank you for giving the help thats needed! 🙌

Wait times are similar to any doctors office, very friendly and competent staff! Was able to get a same week appt and the total process took about 1.5-2hrs for my termination.

The staff is very friendly and understanding...I have had no issues when I have been in here. There is a bit of a wait but you don’t feel like your in here forever . I really liked this facility.

I was defaulted to pregnancy Medi-Cal by Covered California. Kaiser wouldnt schedule me because they couldn’t tell I was covered unless I went to member services( I even though Id confirmed multiple times I was covered ) & Planned Parenthood didnt have availability until 2 weeks out- but FPA Womens Health got me in no problem. Yes, the wait was a couple hours, but they mentioned that on the phone when I scheduled. I got the service I needed and the majority of staff were very friendly unlike the people at Kaiser Riverside & Eureka Roseville who have jaded & rude attitudes. Im glad I was able to come here.

All of the staff members are incredibly nice, warm, and welcoming. They make sure you are taken care of at all times and are very informative. Highly recommend this location!!

After numerous of painful visits to other clinics to get my IUD removed, I thought I would have to get surgery! The provider who treated me at FPA womens health Arden was able to get it out in no time whilst I was having a conversation with her, I barely felt a thing. I was shocked and I am very grateful.

If I could give zero stars I would. I was told that they called mu insurance to confirm I was covered. Told me that would pay 80% and I was respond for 20% so I paid my part and then was seen. The wait was horrendous for no reason I was there for almost 4 hours. Now I find out that I’m not covered and these employees fraudulently lied to me and told me that I was. This clinic is grossly incompetent and fradulant I would AVOID AT ALL COST.

I have not have no problem get an appointment and get check on my visit day. The staff is so organized and polite with there patients and they answer every question you have. I’m satisfied.

I definitely love this place it’s way better than any clinic I been to I would highly recommend this clinic. The staffs are very friendly discreet and caring I was so scared and shocked and they helped me through my whole procedure I had no worries after all I was in good hands and left in amount of minutes perfectly fine

Every time I go there’s all new staff (that should say something),manger wasn’t friendly , took an hour just for me to get to the back don’t recommend this location, nothing like the locations in Socal

Everyone is very nice and helpful it’s just always a long wait even if you have an appointment. But other then that it’s great everyone is nice and knowledgeable.

The wait time was long but all the staff was very friendly, they never made me feel bad about my decisions. Definitely recommend this place

My experience was great will definitely go back but because leave the building there a big dip and pothole coming out of the parking lot.
