Shady Grove at Columbia was very prompt with phone calls and getting my appointment in quickly. Karen R. Was especially a delight to talk to over the phone and she was so kind and understanding. I sincerely appreciate all of her and the teams effort to make this whole process pleasant.

I cannot recommend Shady Grove Fertility in Columbia, MD, highly enough. From the moment we began our fertility journey, the entire team provided exceptional care, compassion, and professionalism. Nurse Erica Moore and Dr. Esposito are incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain every aspect of the process, ensuring we felt informed and comfortable.The facility is clean, modern, and welcoming, which helped ease some of the anxiety that can accompany fertility treatments. Scheduling appointments was convenient, and they were flexible in accommodating our needs. The entire team genuinely cared about our experience.

I am amazed with the entire team here, everyone is extremely nice and welcoming. Dr. Esposito is not only kind but extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She gave my husband and I much guidance making us feel safe and comfortable for our journey. And thank you nurse Erica Moore for always following up and answering all my questions when I’m extremely slow when it comes down to instructions. Love love this location!

We’ve just started our journey at shady grove. Obviously, these appointments aren’t the most “fun”, but the service provided by the wonderful nurses and front desk staff is phenomenal. After a year of trying we decided to get evaluated. The process can be intimidating and complicated, but with the support of our patient care coordinator, Karen P., everything went so smoothly quickly. Update: I reached out to the office managers via the form on the Shady Grove website. It has been two weeks and I have not received any communication, except from a woman who says they will be contacting me shortly. Based on how active they are replying to other reviews, it is safe to say I am being intentionally ignored. This is even more disappointing and invalidating. Please go elsewhere.My husband and I have had horrible experiences with Karen R. at the front desk to the point where I now have extreme anxiety about calling for anything or going in for an appointment. I have been belittled and made to feel like an idiot. If I could do all of this again, I would go to a different office. Rockville has been fantastic. I will gladly drive out of my way to avoid any contact with Karen R. and her attitude.Its stressful enough going through infertility without being ridiculed the entire time.

This Columbia office has been more than amazing. I had issues with the Baltimore location in which whenever you call, no answer or long hold periods with very rude representatives, and late feedbacks on very important tests. I switched over to the the Columbia office and from day one my experience has been more than you can ask for during a tough journey. From my very informative Dr. Osheroff, who provided knowledge and offered every option with every step. To my caring and compassionate nurse Natalie, who responded within a timely manner reducing my anxiety about this journey. To Mariah, who made each ultrasound experience pleasant. To the front desk staff, Karen R., who provided a welcoming smile everytime I came into the office, especially on my hard days. She worked with me in scheduling my appointments around my work schedule, assisted me with documentions that were needed, and was very informative and helpful with using the patient portal. To the all nurses and front desk staff Thank you Columbia office for all the hard work you do.

Always a nice experience visiting the Columbia location of SGF. The staff is always pleasant and respectful. The appointments are early enough that it doesnt disrupt the rest of your day and you can always count on a smile from the front desk ladies on your way in/out. Karen R is my favorite person at the office. She always goes above and beyond to make it a great day in whatever way she can. Whenever I call to schedule an appointment, I dont even need to say my name before she recognizes my voice. Her empathy and kindness makes my day each and every time.

I have always had a good experience at SG Columbia. The ladies at the front desk and my nurse are always super nice. You see a lot of familiar faces each time which is reassuring given that Shady Grove is one of the largest fertility businesses in the nation. I’m sure it’s not always easy with emotional and hormonal patients day in and day out so appreciate the support.I’ve also had excellent interactions with all of the staff at their Towson location for several procedures. The surgeons and anesthesiologist staff are superb. Several of them studied under my neurologist at Pitt which put me right at ease.

Not only do I HIGHLY recommend Shady Grove, but even more so I highly recommend the Columbia location. Every single member of the staff is kind, warm, welcoming and incredibly competent. This was my first time with fertility and the whole thing can be overwhelming and scary but I always felt seen and taken care of. Not all locations are equal, and I have been to at least two others in MD, but everyone at Columbia was —front desk nurses and staff especially-professional and focused on the patients and their care. I was lucky enough to see the same faces frequently and it always felt like a connection, we were happy to see eachother. I even had the same ultrasound tech and, while I feel like a dummy bc stress/pregnancy brain means I can’t remember her name, she was always so sweet and thoughtful. (Please if SG responds to this, give me names and I’ll add them!). Thank you to Dr. Loretta who wiped away the anxiety these last few ultrasounds. You made me feel seen and taken care of and I was so touch led with how you went above and beyond to make sure my wife and I had our special moment. Similarly the graduation almost made us cry. This has been such a surreal experience and everyone at shady grove has made it so amazing. Definitely recommend and definitely feeling more optimistic for future siblings too. Thank you!!

The staff at the SGF Columbia office is the best! From the front office ladies to the sweet team that does blood draws to the nurses and PAs, everyone is great!I did have a favorite though, Shana Perman, PA-C. No one wants to be part of the infertility club, but if have to be you want Shana on your team. Her presence is like a big hug. Every time she came into the exam room I immediately felt a sense of calm and ease. She is so knowledgeable, caring and kind with the best bedside manor of any medical professional I have ever worked with. She always took the time to answer my questions and really listen to me. She always showed so much concern for my feelings and wellbeing.My husband and I now have a beautiful 7 month old son. I of course credit my doctor for his help and guidance in finding success (Dr. Doyle is awesome!), but its the people like Shana who you see regularly during your infertility journey that really help get you through. I am happy that I get to work with the team at the Columbia office again when we are ready for baby #2 :)

Hello, I must say if it wasnt for Karen R. helping me with this process I would be lost. To my assigned doctor, he has been very informational, non judgmental, open, and so much more. He did not make me feel uncomfortable. I am still in the process and looking forward to moving on.

Love this location its much different from the others locations nearby which Ive utilized.The front desk ladies (Karen R., Adrienne L., Shelley F.) bring so much joy and warmth to what can be a dreadful, stressful and emotionally exhaustive experience. Their love and respect for the patients is papable from the minute you step into the office. Ive watch them celebrate women( with the ringing of a bell). Which I presume are those who have graduated and may be expecting or have a high probability. So nice to see things be done so differently given my previous experience with a different office. The organization of shady grove fertility is horrible. I was trying to schedule for a month with so much back and forth from them - each receptionist had a different answer and sent me somewhere else. Absolutely awful would not trust them to care for me properly.

The staff is amazing here! They keep such a positive demeanor about themselves. But the two that always make my appointments easier are Karen and Mariah. Karen at the front desk is always so helpful and cheerful. Also, Mariah is just the sweetest and so down to Earth.

I have to come in person two times to get a result for exams I take almost two months ago, the ones my doctor say never received, the lady in the front desk give me a phone Number like two weeks ago to call because all the result go to Rockville office the one only work some days a week, and no one pick up the phone when you call, I have to come at 9am the second time, the same lady give me the results in one paper and only takes her 5 minutes. Bad service from this lady only I must say the other lady by side had a good actitud but maybe she was new and she trust in this other lady in front of the main door

Trusting SGF with our journey to parenthood was the best decision my husband and I made. From our very first consultation with Dr. Esposito to feeling so welcomed at every appointment from the ladies at the front desk to being so supported by Bria, our patient liaison, the entire experience was one we’ll never forget. IVF can be such an unknown and unexpected journey, but every person at the Columbia office and the nurses at the Rockville made us both feel comfortable throughout the procedures. Because I’m a teacher, I wanted to be able to retrieve and implant in the summertime, and that wish was granted as I was able to end the summer last year with our implantation appointment. One year later, I’m now holding our holding our little miracle baby.To no fault of SGF whatsoever, I ovulated early and we were only able to get one embryo, but we will absolutely be returning to SGF for our next baby in a couple years. I’m so so thankful I didn’t listen to any of the negative reviews! I hope this one and all the others offset those and encourage more hopeful parents to trust SGF with their fertility journey!

Walked in anxious. Waiting room was packed. Everyone there seemed seasoned & familar with the process.Erica, Barbara (phlebotomy) & the ultrasound tech read the newbie emotions & helped ease anxiety. With my FULL permission their hands of comfort & soft encouraging words eased the anxiety (yes, I cried like a baby).The process is suggested to be a 2-3 tubulent weeks process (visits/emotions etc), but with women like Erica & Barbara, the journey is bound to be positive!Everyday may not be high spirit, but 1 +ve day is enough to get the motions going. Excited to know some of the staff are Union Church members!! That was a common ground that gave me comfort!Great team

SGF and I have a love hate relationship. No one likes asking for help especially when you’re asking a team of strangers get you the greatest gift ever. This place extremely lacks customer service and any attention to detail. Called a month ago to get some lab results re sent to me, was rudely interrupted by receptionist saying I need to send a message through the portal. Sent the message and still havent gotten any follow up a month later. Same thing has happened with other lab results, never sent them until I follow up. Just an extremely inefficient place to have any services done.

This location is insensitive, cold, and UNorganized! I arrived at my appointment excited to explore fertility options and was immediately met with an attitude at the front desk. She was very accusatory telling me that I hadnt filled out the paperwork and my appointment was cancelled. We had discovered just the day before that the location was sending me information to an incorrect email address. Okay, so I completed the portal documents once the email address was updated. Apparently I didnt do it fast enough. I arrived at the location and the front desk staff looked me in the face and said it wasnt filled out this morning when I came in so they cancelled it (I had filled it out that morning). Either way, there was no accountability, grace, or understanding provided on their error. I just walked out in tears because I was really looking forward to my appointment and thought that it should be a safe place. But I was met at the door with nasty attitudes. This was not what I was expecting!

Everyone I met at the Columbia location made my experience a lot less stressful than I expected it to be. I always felt welcomed and at ease whenever I walked through the doors. The women at reception were always very kind and accommodating, and a special shout out to the ultrasound tech, Mariah, who was just the absolute sweetest and most encouraging person there. I hope I don’t have to go through another egg retrieval but if I do, I look forward to revisiting Columbia for all of my appointments!

The lady who sits at the first computer at the front desk is RUDE AF!! I walked in and all three ladies looked at me seeing that I had a mask on I was smiling with nervousness and greeted them with a Good Morning. The lady at the first computer said with an attitude said, Good Morning. I didnt say anything in response to her because its Monday, I had a GREAT workout, and I wasnt going to let her ruin my day. I told her my name and said, Thank you proceeded to sit down. The lab tech that drew my blood was nice, Mariah who did my ultrasound was SUPER SWEET, and the nurse at the end of my visit who took my weight and BP was very kind. As I was leaving heading to the elevator I noticed that the lady at the first chair was having a side conversation with another patient in the hallway whispering I am assuming about the office. Just be aware of the lady at the first chair is not a nice person at all. I will be back to the office if need be for another appointment because it is convenient. I am not going to let one BAD APPLE ruin it.

I wish there was no stars, they dont even deserve 1 star. I swear one of the first experience at the front and I didnt even get to see the doctor yet. I wonder how much patients get there and feel the same. I went in person to reschedule my appointment. I didnt appreciate some personal questions that should have been done by the doctor and also how the receptionist loudly assumed and said I had no insurance. I filled my insurance online and over the phone. I left there feeling terrible, once I got home I started looking for better options. Reached out to another location. This location is closet to me but rather go miles away, rather go to a place were I was treated with such unprofessional and unkindness. I would never return here or recommend any of my friends or family at Columbia SGF location.

SGF Columbia office has been detailed in addressing my treatment. But I want to personally shout out Karen R, she is such a kind yet quiet soul in what a rather abrasive industry this can be. My adoration for her is top notch, and although she works at the front desk, that is who - we who are struggling see first, and often the most overlooked employees. Her simple gestures of help and her want to go above and beyond have been immeasurable in my personal journey.

As a physician, I can say that one of the most important aspects of a practice is the front desk/support staff. It is the face of your practice, and that is how the patient experience can start on the right foot or the wrong one. Patients spend as much time with them as the providers.The front desk here is unprofessional and lazy. My wife said she was scolded by the front desk woman during her first appointment for not knowing that she needed to check in on her phone. She had abnormal lab results and her care coordinator gave her an attitude when she asked to have a phone call from a provider to go over the results.In another instance, she had taken a half day off of work for her follow up appointment, only to realize Karen had canceled it the day before because I did not complete a work-up - that had nothing to do with freezing eggs. If Karen had many any effort to understand what was happening or reach out to my wife or myself, she would have known that we decided to pursue egg freezing and my workup was now irrelevant - we had discussed this with Dr. Osherkoff.Very disappointing experience overall and would not subject any of my patients, friends or family to this type of treatment. Excited to leave and pursue care elsewhere!

Ive just starting coming to the Columbia location and Karen R. Has helped me out- over the phone and in person, she is so friendly, engaging and helpful! She made me feel at ease when I called with some anxiety for scheduling!

Today was my first visit. One of the worst front desk services reactions I have ever gotten at any medical facility. I wish someone would have disclosured that no children was allowed in the office. Yes I do understand patience come to have a baby and wouldnt have brought my 2 weeks old baby with me.I was told to leave the office with my baby!! Please stay away from location. Also I called to ask direction to the office because I heard I was in the wrong building and its was then they told me my appointment was cancelled, so rudly and unprofessional.

Karen R. is AMAZING!I had no clue how the process worked and she provided an in depth explanation + clearly answered all of my questions. Her energy was so welcoming and made it so easy to have what could have been an awkward conversation.She is the ONE! Cant throughly explain how friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful she was! Give that woman a raise + have her create a training.

So co-IVF is not the most pleasant of situations to go through as it has its moments. As I’m approaching the end of “my part” with having my eggs retrieved, I want to give a special thanks to a few people I recall interacting with and as I know their names.First there’s Kiera (SGF-Columbia) who is always pleasant and who always greets me with a smile as I know things in the office can get hectic (based on how the waiting room can be filled up) and she always helps me with scheduling which I’m that one who would say a place and time then adjust it a few times as my schedule can be crazy lol), answering any questions I may have, and just helping out as much as possible. She’s always professional, efficient, and pleasant to interact with, so thank you Kiera!Next,Jennifer (SGF Columbia)- I have to do a lot of blood work due to my health conditions and with co-IVF it’s needed, and this lady right here is one of the best in taking my blood…it’s smooth, may not even feel the needle go in, and I’m done! She’s always cooperative, quick, professional, and pleasant to interact with. She’s great, even with the small talk to distract me from what’s happening at the moment so thank you Jennifer!

No matter how much excitement you have when you go to the appointment, to figure out that the treatment succeeded or to see the baby for the first time, they will ruin your excitement with an immeasurable lack of consideration. We were worried when we read the reviews about this office, but it was the closest to us. It turned out that the 15 minutes we are saving by not going to a different office dont worth dealing with them. They will keep you in the waiting room for HOUR if they are busy but will cancel your appointment on-site if you arrive a few minutes late due to traffic or morning nausea. Spare yourself a stressful experience and go to a different place. You deserve a pleasant and respectful experience while unpacking the exciting pathway to parenthood.

The office staff is incredibly rude, unprofessional, and insensitive. I cant speak to the quality or effectiveness of the care provided by the actual medical staff, as Ive only just begun treatment. But if you care about being treated civilly or kindly, look elsewhere for your care.

Infertility is not an easy journey. It is something that can range from embarrassing to exciting(when on the right path) and 9 times out of 10, nerve wracking. My first time coming into the Columbia office Karen R. absolutely made my day. All of the ladies at the front desk have put any worries at ease and made me feel like everything really will be ok. Im seriously considering traveling an hour just to keep seeing her!

DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH BEFORE GIVING THEM YOUR MONEY…Dr. Esposito in my opinion did not treat me on a case by case basis regardless of all the medical paperwork I filled out. She told me her treatment is the same no matter your medical history or circumstances and she did not take any accountability if she was wrong in her assessment. Dr. Esposito told me that I should have known the ramifications of the medication I was taking but I’m not a medical professional and I presumed that she would thoroughly go through my medical information and take into consideration the ramifications of the medications I was taking, and inform me of those consequences, but she did not! She looked at my egg reserves/count and did her analysis. I believe the medications I was taking counteracted the medicines that were given to me through this process based on speaking with my gynecologist.Dr. Esposito specifically told me that I should have done my own due diligence on the medications I was taking to assess how they could affect me. THEN WHAT DO I NEED YOU FOR? And WHY DO YOU HAVE A MD?? And why did I fill out medical paperwork and have a medical consult with you, to not be fully assessed?! — the only good thing about this place, is the front office ladies and the ladies taking your blood work, they are nice.Dr. Esposito was very patronizing towards me on the phone when I voiced my concerns and Dr. Esposito told me that based on this review that I am cyber bullying her, as if she is the victim 😑 if I could give zero stars I would have

Karen R. Is the best !!!! When I say she’s the most amazing person I’ve met there so far . She hands on and helpful and has this sense of calmness when you’re feeling overwhelmed . I loveeeeee her . If you ever get a chance to speak with her then you know .

So Im not sure what happens when other people come in this office but every time Ive come I am greeted before Ieven get in the door. Karen R is a ray of sunshine on the worst cloudy days. Then you have the other ladies at the desk who always help and are friendly. The ladies drawing blood are friendly and so are the ladies who have done my monitoring. No issues for me ever.

January 2023 4-star review: Im updating my review because this month I returned to SGF and everything has been much better. Staff is friendlier and so far, I havent waited long for my 7:30am appointments. I still dont love coming here, but so far its not because of the staff or clinic and more just anxiety about why were here. I hope the office continues to improve!November 2022 1-star review: Starting our 3rd round and every time I have to come here my day gets worse. From the person who checks me in, to the phlebotomist, to the ultrasound tech, you can tell everyone is untrained and unhappy working here. Also, EVERY TIME, I schedule a 7:30am appointment and here I am at 8:20 still waiting… why even make appointments? This place is the worst, and if you read positive reviews, it’s because they haven’t been coming long enough yet 😑.

My journey has just started with Shady Grove but one thing that stands out to me is the front desk staff. They definitely make you feel welcome especially Mrs.Karen R. She is always friendly and attentive.

Like every business place, this office has it challenges. We cannot expect 100% of things to go right a 100% of the times. If something goes wrong, you tell them (especially the office manager) and it gets fixed.Now that we have this out of the way, let’s rate Dr. Esposito at this office (1 million perfect stars). She’s an extremely caring doctor. She’s very personable! She loves, she’s compassionate, she’s kind, she listens, she’ll create a plan with you and not just for you, etc. Everyone knows why everyone goes to a fertility clinic/doctor. The entire process is stressful and working with people who care is of the outmost importance. She calls, she checks in, she follows up, you’ll hear from her and not just your nurse. I cannot say even good things about this doctor and this office.I can assure anyone, for every bad review that this office might get, I and others can counter that with a story of hope, a story of perseverance, a story of care etc. for this office.This office allowed me to get pregnant with my two precious babies, one an angel and one a rainbow baby. At 20 weeks gestation with my first I PPROMed and lost my baby at 22 weeks. Talk about pain and heartache. Dr. Esposito cared and listened and as I type this, I am holding my perfectly precious rainbow baby in my arms which she made possible.People, give this office a chance, don’t expect perfection, they will fault, we all do! At the end of it all, they all care and they’ll do all in their powers to help us get what we all go there for.FYI- The best nurse in the universe works at that office-Nurse (N.Eaton). Absolute BEST! I think this is the most atrocious office I have ever called. The whatever answered my call sounded so patronizing and irritated with her ‘m’eaaaam, we do not schedule appointments in the afternoons, holidays or weekends’ Yikes! She was gonna teach me a whole lecture and proceeded interrupting me multiple times as I tried to explain to her what kind of appointment I was hoping to schedule. Disgusted and not even considering this establishment

The kindness, and caring of the staff at this location go above and beyond what words can describe. Everyone goes out of their way to provide help and support, past what is just expected. From the Front Desk, to the Office Manger, our Nurse and Dr Osheroff... my family and I are so grateful for everyones help and understanding during our struggles.

They were all so friendly and personable everyone! They have beautiful spirits! 🫶🏽

Extremely upset every time I have to deal with these people. First I had to return to the clinic twice because no one at the clinic told me the proper procedures, forcing me to take PTO at work for their incompetence. Communication has been bad, appointments from my wife either gets double-booked or we always get calls for something because scheduling or something else went wrong. The only thing these people do well is to take our money, about the only thing they do promptly. Even the online payment was far more complex than it should be for someone who almost always use that option. Every interaction with these people have been stressful. Please stay away.

They told me will not get pregnant naturally, because my one ovary is blocked and I have few fibroids in uterus which was true but I have to do iui or ivf that cost was near about 40 thousand US dollars , we were so broken but we agreed then went through the surgery process, they removed fibroids and after that we got pregnant naturally no iui no ivf . God save us.

Originally I saw Dr. Osheroff who informed me that I should give up and use donor eggs. I was shocked at his extremely poor bedside manner. Since then I changed doctors and participated in other SGF services. During these other services I learned how far reaching Dr. Osheroffs influence impacted numerous patients. During the weight loss group two other patients told me that he made them cry at every meeting. I changed to Dr. Stephanie Beall who was EXTREMELY KIND and patient. She kept encouraging me and after multiple procedures I had my beautiful son. If I had stayed with Dr. Osheroff I am sure I would have given up. He is a terrible doctor and should not be allowed to practice. He may be a good scientist, but its hard to see that when his delivery of information is so terribly cruel and thoughtless.

The Shady Grove Rockville location is wonderful, but due to a recent move, I am now much closer the the Columbia location. It is awful in comparison. They seem incredibly overbooked and understaffed and I have never waited less than 45 minutes every time Ive come in for a simple, routine appointment. Not a pleasant experience, especially when, as a patient, I have to come every day to wait this long. Its a mess.

My husband and I waited over a month and a half for our first appointment. We were so excited when the day had finally come. The staff was very polite but Dr. O was quiet and slow (maybe he wasnt feeling well that day) but it certainly brought our excitement level down. We were under the impression that this was a Fertility Center, which covers a wide variety of reasons why someone would seek scientific help. We were told we did not have a medical disqualification, and therefore would not be helped, we were disappointed.

Overall had a bad experience with Shady Grove. Dr. Timmreck is not very friendly and did not listen to my needs as a patient. She basically ran through her checklist with me and did not think about my individual needs. An office assistant by the name of Monica told me she was my assigned nurse and prescribed me medication. I asked her to speak to Dr. Timmreck about a test they were having me do. I said I would like to talk to Dr. Timmreck for more information, Monica gave me more information. You are not a medical professional, do not prescribe me medication and do not parade as one.

I’ve had great experiences with Karen R. at the front desk, she has been over the top helpful with my challenging schedule. If choosing a doctor at this practice, I highly recommend Dr. Esposito.

I went to the Fertility Clinic today, but they turned me away (after filling out paper work for 15 minutes) for the reason stated that I had brought my children. My two young children were quietly watching a video on my phone and there was only two other people in the waiting room. They informed me children are not allowed at the clinic. This was the first time I heard this rule, even though I had spoken twice to a receptionist before. They said I must have missed their phone call, which was confusing because I had not missed a call from them. Later I realized that they had called the day before but their number registers as Dental One Associates so I did not bother to listen. The voicemail told me to arrive 30 minutes early to complete paper work and that I must not bring children. The expectation of the clinic for me to have childcare with one day notice is unfair but the bigger injustice was that they had not adequately informed me of this rule, yet I was the one to suffer the consequences. I am frustrated, and of course will not go back to this office. TIPS: Dont bring your children. Go to the office 30 minutes BEFORE appointment time. If you see a number registering as Dental One Associates it is this clinic.

I am appreciative of the hard work the doctors and nurses do to help women get (and stay) pregnant. SGF has always been good to me; I have been a patient since late 2014 and I have them to thank for my daughter, who was conceived via IUI. The front desk staff is kind and courteous and greets you by name. You can tell that they make an effort to know their patients as more than a number.The staff is also the best in the business in drawing blood! I have never had any pain with the blood draws. I always feel reassured and I am able to get my questions answered quickly.The reason for 4 stars is that sometimes, there is a very long wait, especially when you schedule an appointment for 8am or later. Earlier appointments are very quick, but later appointments run up to half an hour behind.Thank you to SGF for helping so many families achieve their dreams!

You really have to keep on top of things to prevent slipping through the cracks. So far we have been greeted with issues every step of the way.Lost paperwork, calling in prescriptions to a pharmacy that is out of network, and flip flopping my & my husbands separate insurance plans. They also refused to take my husbands referral, and after being slapping with a $500 bill they say they need it now and proceeded to claim we should have given it to them in the beginning (we tried but they wouldnt even bother to scan it in to have on file!). Last week they said they *never* had my husbands insurance on file despite it appearing on his blood work requests from the very first week.Are they just understaffed and need more help? After moving from the office coordinator to the nurses the communication has been far better, but the initial communication frustrations were very off-putting to say the least.

We were thrilled with our experience and outcome. Dr. Osheroff is fantastic! It was a tough road, but he helped us every bit of the way. The nurses and staff are wonderful. Highly recommend.

I am just leaving my appointment and it was the most rude experience ever. I literally only came to get a baseline of where I was….considering I’m 37 and have PCOS, to have insight on my hormones and suggestions of how to improve these numbers. I’m aware and already in process of my weightloss needed. Long story short, I was told that I was “too fat” to test anything and to come back after bariatric surgery. There’s no test that can give me any insightful information regarding my fertility which is a complete lie. It is extremely insensitive and disgusting to speak that to someone with a condition that impacts weight as if that’s not in my health chart. There have been women twice my size pregnant with more issues than me, a simple blood test is all that’s required. Simply an AMH just to give me an idea of where I am. If my obgyn hadn’t told me she couldn’t do it, I wouldn’t have even scheduled a visit. It’s very disgusting to say the least. I will never return to this specific location again as I have friends who are much larger than myself going through similar processes and have never been told they were too fat for blood work.

I was there a week ago to do my first OB Ultrasound after finally got pregnant through SGF and I had really bad experience with Dr Lorna Timmerck , my husband and I were so exited to see the babies and hear the heart beats. Asked her three question and she answered so sarcastic so she did not really answer my questions, also she was so rude and left the room without even say if the babies were okay, she did not give me right pic and did not let us hear the babies heart beats. I had to go to my GYN so they can do everything again. She is so unprofessional.

Bottom line up front, they may get the job the done, if your lucky, but the service may leave you feeling like you paid too much. We were offered a significant discount, which was even in a contract, but when it came to crunch time, they rescinded any discounts, and we were too disoriented by the pace and the stress of the procedure to dispute or think to look back at the contract. Any conversation to include speaking with the patient advocate regarding these discounts has been met with a promise to follow up and then no follow-up.Other issues include their billing department and the doctors manners, which I was told would be addressed internally. So hopefully the practices of getting statements almost a year after the event, and doctors not respecting a patients wishes have abetted.Beyond that, the science is sound, the technicians clearly know what theyre doing, and we have health baby due later this month. I can only look at this as a silver lining to the fact that I feel this practice cheated us out of a promised discount.

I loved my doctor, Dr. Espositio however when I did have appointments at this location (versus the Rockville location) I found myself waiting much longer. The staff is extremely nice and helpful they just dont have the same capacity as Rockville to efficiently see patients for routine bloodwork & ultrasounds.

If I could give them a half star I would. My wife had an appointment at 7am and she waited over a half hour. She was one of the first people there. They claimed they had to go in an order so unless everyone had a 6:45 appt (they open at 7) there is no reason for this. I would rather drive the 40 minutes to Rockville location than the five minutes to come here, its that bad. Make appointment somewhere else.

Very poor communication. Doctors unavailable to talk.I went to sgf Columbia and have been very disappointed so far, every time they need a payment they are super prompt in sending messages, when you need to talk to the doctor even after your process has started you have to wait for 4-6 weeks after each step to get a doctors appointment. Mis managed!! Also poor decisions made, you can’t rely on them you have to continuously keep double guessing them, doing your own research and taking second opinions to make the best choice for yourself

I gave this place one star because the dr. Was not compassionate and more like a robot. I am overweight and was told Id have to lose weight 1st to begin a procedure after I had all the testing done. You never get to personally speak to the dr EVER..only the nurse or person assigned to you. I found 2 other fertility clinics that told me I didnt have to loose weight. My advice, if you are overweight and want a dr with compassion go elsewhere.

We had a positive experience working with SGF Columbia. Overall, the nurses and doctors had an Organized, efficient processes in place. They were knowledgeable, professionals and caring.Dr. Beall and Nurse Natalie specifically were outstanding and a pleasure to work with. The icing on the cake is a beautiful baby boy, born November 2018, approximately a year after working our first appointment with SGF.

I was a more mature patient of SGF and although my now spouse and I had both been separated from our former spouses for 3 and 4 years, they refused to begin treatment pushing me years closer to their age cutoff. Once treatment began, the mistakes came one after another. Calls on a holiday weekend after 5:30pm with results from 7am that required meds from mail order companies. This happened many times. A cancelled cycle during which they made numerous mistakes to them be told I’m too old now for their clinic. My protocol now is only clomid and birth control by the thousands of thousands of dollars ordered by SGF. I have had no less than 9 follicles in a cycle on my new protocol and currently have 1 genetically perfect embryo frozen with my new clinic. For ease and time, I had been commuting 45 mins each way for monitoring, I started doing outside monitoring through SGF. It took about 4 months to get someone to call me and allow me this but since I’ve started, now on my second cycle, they have missed sending the results they eagerly took payment for to my physician. We spend our savings with hopes of our dream and these people seem to treat it as a second hand interest. I will be reaching out to Dr. O but I doubt he will respond. This company cates about money not their patients. They are simply the worst. I can however highly recommend Fertility Center of MD in Towson. Top notch and incredibly reputable.

Doctors and nurses are always good but all Receptionists are useless at Columbia branch. One receptionist always say you have this much balance and if you dont pay then THEY CAN STOP CYCLE IN MIDDLE just after you done with appointment, every single time. I dont know who give them a right to talk about nonsense other than informing about remaining balance on account to customer. Let finance department call or Collection to call us and not YOU. Even today someone charged us 264 dollar instead 50 which was copay without informing. Theyre spoiling my every morning. Plus, front desk never pick up the call any time of the day ever. Need to always call Towson to schedule the appointment.

We went through two IVF cycles here with Dr. Timmreck and what a terrible experience. First let me say that the front desk staff and the bloodwork staff are very nice. Both cycles had very poor results with only retrieving 5 eggs the first time and 3 the second yet protocol didnt change and the doctor never communicated with us. After the first failed cycle which was only one embryo, the doctor didnt even bother to call us to discuss anything. I mainly communicated with the nurse via emails on their patient portal. Second IVF cycle we patiently waited the PGT results for only one embryo again and two weeks later we still havent heard anything. I emailed the nurse on Monday and they found the PGT results that had came in that previous Thursday. The results werent good news and once again we never heard from Dr. Timmreck. Over 24K spent not including medication and actually spoke to the doctor a total of 2 times after the initial consult. I just cant believe that the doctor doesnt even bother to check on her patients. Even my dogs vet checks on them after procedures and to discuss results!

I didnt have a great experience here.Pros: We were usually able to get appointments quickly and on our timeline. One of my husbands semen analyses took like 6 weeks to make but that was definitely an outlier. Shady Grove in general has the best IVF statistics in the area I believe.Cons: Care is *extremely* unpersonalized. My medical history wasnt taken into account when determining what testing I needed, which delayed me and would have cost me extra copays. Communications were also pretty bad. I was given different information in person than on the phone (in person I was told my test was not normal, and on the phone I was told it was normal) and nothing is ever loaded into your patient profile. Only way to get written information from them seems to be to pay for your records. Even getting records sent to another provider to treat a condition they diagnosed was a giant hassle, unlike my experience with other medical providers in the area.I ultimately changed providers due to my discomfort with the care we were receiving.

Overall Ive had a great experience at this clinic. The the front desk and clinical staff are very kind and helpful. Additionally, its been very easy for me to make appointments and have questions answered. I highly recommend this office to others.

Surprisingly, theyre still in business. If youre a good girl and do what they tell you disregarding the fact that youre ovulating (especially if youre an outpatient like me), you can call here just to be scheduled when they have an opportunity available, not on your ovaries schedule, sorry. If you are asking uncomfortable questions like me, staff has no knowledge to answer, theyll tell you to schedule another appointment with the doctor even though youre still there in the middle of another phase of the appointment. My recommendation is to take your business to Jones Institute in Norfolk, VA; they are the pioneers of IVF and Ive never been turned away even on a very short notice. Staff works very well with the doctors, embryologist or andrologist, and theyll see you when your time is critical, ideally before ovulation, so you dont miss a chance like I did at SGF Columbia. I would have given them zero (0) stars but Google doesnt allow me that. Doctor is good but the staff filters and censors so many that the business will eventually fail. Mark my words!

Super slow, waited over an hour longer than my appointment time. Too many people booked for appointments at the same time. I asked if there was a wait time and was assured there was not. Then I was told 20min when I asked again and yet I waited over an hour. I don’t have that time to sit and waste on a waiting room. Get your stuff together!!!

Very unprofessional. They literally don’t answer the phones. I called them and asked me to be on hold i was on hold for more than 40 mins. Nobody turned back. I called back and they are not answering calls. Patient call to office for service not for timepass. I usually don write reviews, for the first time i was really frustrated with this shady grove. I don’t suggest this because response is very important for the patients

Long waits and poor communication dominated my experience here. And it didnt help that the financial counselor was condescending. SG feels like a big corporate practice that doesnt care about individual people.

Great people very caring staff including the doctor. I love Shady Grove because they are constantly researching better ways for woman like myself to be able to have a family.

The entire ordeal of having to see a fertility clinic denotes urgency and they have none of it. I’ve never been more frustrated with this unprofessional experience. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

The Columbia Shady Grove office front desk attendant were really nice but that doctor I owas one judge mental rude person. I have never felt so unwelcome somewhere in my life.

The nurses were kind and understanding of the stress of having fertility treatments. I was ultimately successful after undergoing treatment here. I had an overall pleasant experience.

The doctor will cancel your appointment if she does not have your paperwork and if you don’t get it because it’s not showing up or it won’t open and you told the staff there’s a problem, she still cancells your appointment.

Dont waste your time coming here. The only thing this place has going for them is the fact that they are the only fertility clinic in the area. I would rather drive to VA or Bethesda daily then deal with this incompetent, unethical, baby mill.

This is the worst place to go for fertility treatments. Please don’t do it. I wish there was 0 stars. Horrible place to be, they make you feel even worse.

They do not even give us the result. Do not waste your time and money. I wish I can give less than one star. I also get very bad infections do not go that place. We are not going to doctor to get infection.

The staff is wonderful I have dealt with many doctors and staff on my journey but everyone from every office was helpful, compassionate and understanding.

If your receptionist is gonna talk ish, at least make sure she hangs up first.
